@uxie6177 i think so. I think he its taking time first to let the controversy settle but also make sure he is in shape. If he tries and gets a RO24 or even RO16 exit it'll be very embarrassing for him and might tarnish his goat legacy
Beating Soulkey who just went 5-1 vs. Mini in finals I suspect he's feeling pretty confident and just preparing another random run or to win a few ASLs as protoss since historically results favor zerg/terran? Could be wrong but I think Flash just has the mindset of a conqueror, what do I want and how will I take it with the fear of his reputation taking a hit pretty low. He also did bomb out as random if I remember right, but he stuck to the plan which to me makes him even more of a goat. Seems like he's just creating interesting experiences for himself and his fans with his play since just beating everyone and winning everything as Terran started to bore him a bit.
My head canon is that he's been theory crafting protoss for the last 2 years. Of the three races it's the most playable through his injuries. And he is the sort of guy who might want to prove he can win with the historically least champion rich race.
Love these casts. Some feedback: Please mention when the games were played, like if it's the recent week or if its from several months ago. Also i love the random trivia and tidbits added, very enjoyable to hear, more of that! ❤
That was insane. If you didn't say that was the number #1 Zerg it would seem that it's some poor schmuck being flexed on by Flash. It's actually quite scary that so many overlords have died, so much economy used to replace them yet Zerg remained with a strong army enough to go on the offense.
Without taking away from the brilliance of Flash, it feels like SoulKey wasn't fully invested in this game. Certain decisions for static defense and better overlord defense are quite obvious for a player of his caliber and could have been implemented, but were not, which eventually left him behind. Still an absoluely great game! It's always such a pleasure to watch 2 legendary players dish it out.

Easy there, this game was not played recently, it was played earlier this year when Soulkey was still busy playing LOL and he did not know it was Flash and was just chilling on the ladder. Put it into a tournament he's gonna 4-0 Flash.

Flash's counter is his wrist injury. He is playing other races to overcome it. He started it with an old Goliath rush, but that got countered recently. Therefore he is developing into a Protoss Executor.
I feel if the overlord drop flanking attack happened sooner and he was more deceisive with the execution the game could have gone on quite a bit longer. It seemed like he was hesitating what to do there which gave Flash all the time he needed to drop those storm perfectly.
You know Soulkey was swearing . Dude got supply blocked 3 times and thus his army did not have a chance against flash . The drop attempts just show Soulkey realizing what he needs to try ,well done.

Season 5 of ASL, when Snow beat him in the quarters BARELY 3:2 on broken maps (and i think Flash could have won, but he took some unnecessary risk imho, again because of the maps and also of Snow's rep of a great PvTer) and Snow was a very very good player at that time, but still wasnt the monster he is now. Also Flash was on a 3 straight ASL victories, so the stupid organizers decided to intervene and made the mapmakers to make those maps. I remember reading somewhere, that after he lost to Snow, while he was still in the studio some guy from the ASL personally apologized to Flash for the maps they had in that season.

I think he was already really far ahead from the drop in the main not doing anything and soulkey was basically all-in. Those were nice storms though.

Zerg recovers from supply blocks easily. Because they can make 25 units at once
