Seriously! This is my question too. I can't find my ge washing machine 'creaking sound' anywhere. Even when I spin it by hand it makes a low creak. Seems to happen when the whole inner tub shakes from center mass. Almost like plastic rubbing
Because all new washer are crap! My last Kenmore lasted over 20 years! Not 1 repair. I JUST had every part replaced on my 2 year old GE washer, motor/tranny,seals/bearings, and it still sounds like a train is coming into the house on the spin cycle! PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE!
It’s the plastic end of the 4 anchors that keep the basket in the air. Pop off the top of the lid and you’ll see them. They are a pale blue if I remember correctly. Spray wd40 then use a long clamping-wrench to rotate the bar (it’s the only place you can barely grab) so that the lubricant gets into the socket. It doesn’t need to be turned 360°, just make sure to get enough. Don’t forget to slide a paper towel or 2 under each corner you do because it’s basically hollow till the floor. I had not problem after that. It will still make some noise every once in a while, but that was so much easier and cheeper than if you called someone to fix it. They’d probably want you to take out the drum and replace the 4, which is not worth it money wise. Let me know-Cheers!
My washer makes a loud noise during the spin cycle. The faster the spin the louder the noise gets. Based on your video, it's hard to pinpoint what the problem is.
My problem is that my Maytag Performa High Capacity Heavy Duty washer has started making a buzzing noise as it fills. It's been great since we moved in 11 years ago. My MIL owned it before us so it's not new. It's had one problem that we fixed via an internet repairman. But, you didn't address this problem. I have subscribed so I can access all the videos. Thanks.
ge washer gtw465 (from 2019) loud banging and knocking during spin cycle with sheets on "towels/sheets" setting, goes away when switched to "bulky". I looked on your website, the washer model was not there. anybody else have this problem? any advice please? washer fairly new, less than a year old. only happens with bigger/heavier items, but those sheets were not that big that they needed to be set on bulky...
Sounds like it was just out of balance. Pause the machine, open the lid and evenly rearrange the sheets around the tub so the weight is spread evenly. Usually bulky items tend to weigh to one side after agitation, then when it spins it is off balance and the tub hits the sides of the washer walls.
This could have been an excellent video if the speaker would have paused for a minute to let you hear the noises. Instead the noises were in the background as he spoke over them. Wtf???
Once upon a time a washer and dryer would last decades. Whirlpool bought up the competition (still uses brand names). Our Whirlpool HE has the squealing belt problem after two years. I was suspicious that two weeks after buying the unit, Whirlpool sends ads to buy the overpriced three year extended warranty.
hi i have an Amana washing machine not digital about 4 years old that was working: filled, spun, and drained but was making a lot of noise when agitating.I popped off the cap. It was a one piece agitator with one bolt so i used a socket wrench with a 7/16 nut. uscrewed it removed the agitator, checked it under the light for any ground teeth, rotated and rocked the inner drum side to side and all around: there is supposed to be a lot of room(5 inches in eather direction) and picked up/put down the drum from neck about a half an inch.Rotated the drum then put the agitator back, tightened the bolt and now it is quiet hope this helps
I have a Maytag washer, top load. It’s only 2 weeks old, starting with the 1st load of clothes I washed. It sounds like a Jet Airplane on the final spin cycle. Really loud, and I have tried everything to fix loads to balance the drum. Nothing has worked??
daboys1215 I got a Maytag bravo xl it started making the noise awhile ago I figured I might as well fix it. The bearings in the tub gets water in it and rust. When it is on the spin cycle it sounds like it is going to take off. There is some videos on utube that shows you how to replace. Good luck

I have a Samsung top load. Quiet in spin cycle but during start up, it makes a rattle sound and sometimes during start of wash cycle. Quiet during Spin and filling and emptying ...
Have you followed the Calibration? There is a service technician manual inside the chassis. You need to calibrate your washer every time you replace the motor, suspension, etc.
I recently replaced the actuator and the sluch assembly on my washer thinking there was a problem with them, it worked for one load but the next load i washed my washer went right back to the previous problem, that was when the washer went from wash to the rince cycle I heard a loud clank noise so it wouldnt finish the cycle and it also now has a leak, any Idea what that can be?
I have a general electric it makes a lot noise when washing and when I move the tub it sound like water surrounding the outside of the tub I only had it a year and two months
Hi, I have a Whirlpool Washer Model: WTW50000W1. A few weeks ago we started hearing a sound similar to bearings or beads from a badazled shirt of one of our kids. The sound happens when the washer is draining I think. I hear it spinning as well. I did pull the cap to the white cover agitator at the bottom of the bowl. It was clean as a whistle. Any Ideas or recommendations. I did see a video about the pump could cause sounds but it did not give examples. The sound is not loud. Just annoying. The washer works properly. It would not be cost effective to hire a repair person. I'd like to fix it myself if possible. The unit is 4 years old.
Sounds like something got in the drain pump. It’s fairly easy to remove and see if that’s the problem. Better to extract whatever it is before it damages an impeller. When the pump fails, your wash water won’t drain properly and can dump out the bottom of the washer. Pumps are fairly cheap if you need to replace.
do you know anything about code readers for whirlpool washers . apparently warranty service techs. have them. where can independent servicers obtain one?
I have a GE top load washer a few years old and it just started making a squeaking noise only during the Agitation cycle. Any suggestions on what to look for ?
Ours too, it's more of a screaming sound for us. It's sooo loud and have replaced several parts now. It was not even 2 years old when it started. Very disappointing, will never purchase a GE
If got a 97 Maytag when it winds up to spin the sound of something not meshing starts, and it sounds destructive. I'm not buying a new appliance they are crap
Everything inside the washer is level and the weight is level as well. For some reason when the spin cycle hits it keeps hitting the roof and sides of the washer what does that mean?
My top load washing machine is around 1-2 years old and during the spin cycle it sometimes makes a squeaking sound like a firework (I’m too broke to fix anything 👍)
It could be. It could also be that you overloaded your machine. Try it with very few articles of light clothing (like underwear or t-shirts) and avoid putting in heavy things like blankets, towels, or rugs. If it doesn't bang during the spin cycle, you know you overloaded your machine. If it does bang, then your springs could be loose or broken. I hope this helps!

Hi, my washing machine makes a strong click sound when turning in the washing cycle. We opened the washing machine and the sound looks like coming from the transmission, can we do something about it or do we have to completely replace it?
Useless video without examples of the sound. My machine was making a loud sound because I was washing a comforter that was to heavy. I took the comforter out and it doesn't make that sound.
I searched for the cause of the loud sound of my washing machine, and found this video, but the problem was not solved. If you could shows sound of the problem more, I would know what my problem is.
Removed the washer to replace floor, replaced the washer and it's now a airplane on spin. Yes it's level. Anyone have an idea? If I type it in all I get is bearing failure. Might be but if so it went bad while storing it while fixing the floor. I feel I did something to cause it. It's a 2012 Whirlpool, Energy saver, can't find the model number, must be on back.
Clothes off balances can do it. Stop the washer, rearrange the clothes as best you can to evenly distribute the weight and turn it back on. Letting the washer spin off balance will lead to bigger problems . If that doesn't fix it, I'm out of ideas.
This video didn’t describe the issue I have with my washer but I like this video. Thanks
Why not show examples of actual noises?
