Oh WOW...thank you for this information! I'm a Christian, and I've been trying to understand what is behind the angry statements towards Jesus from my new 'New Age' neighbors here in Arizona. I've confronted them when they remark that 'they are their own God', etc. (I know better because I had a life after death experience where I stood face to face with God and Jesus at heaven's gate!) But you have so well explained to me WHAT their 'beliefs' are behind their statements. Knowledge is power. So now I can talk to them with better insight of where they are coming from. The angry statements probably have more to do with their Christian upbringing then the history of new age beliefs. We can debate whether someones bad experiences were at the hand of "bad Christians", it still shaped their feelings and perceptions regardless. New Age is more diverse then people think so mpt eveything is going to be common for all, more then difference that exist in Christian denominations and the varieties of abrahamic belief systems
New age theology is just man admiring himself in the most modern part of history , which will become aged history and the people of the future will continue with the same self admiring philosophies of their time. God , whatever that may be , is the same always.
