      How many parts of line can you run on main block.

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jaime . . . sorry for the late reply. I just saw your comment. It depends on the block. for the Manitowoc LBC covered for CCO exams your probably not going to see a block with more than 6 sheeves, which would give you max of 12 parts line. For CCO test questions I've never seen more than 8 parts line.

    I found that if you first find the gross then the line pull and then all your deductions you will be fine. However don’t forget the CCO tests suck and will throw in all kinds of curve balls to trip you up

    I could use your ear! This is my 1st recerts and I have 4 to take.

      @@talbotspc Hello Melissa. I apologize for not noticing your message until today (4.18). You have a busy day ahead of you with 4 specialties and the core. If you have specific questions I might be able to help. Since this is your first round of recertification I recommend that you look at the CCO web page and look at the differences between recertification exams and the initial certification exam. I believe it's 40 questions on the core, and 10 questions on the specialty exams. Of the ten questions on the specialty, 6 or 7 could be load chart questions.

    How do you find the aux rope an main rope deductions

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Find tip to ground distance in the chart, multiply distance by number of parts line and by the weight per foot. This is for CCO Manitowoc crawler. Different cranes have different procedures for deducting wire rope. Look at load chart notes for crane you are using, if still not sure call manufacturer

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All wire rope in use, tip to ground, and any wire rope that is hanging. Several of the Manitowoc videos show how to do this.

  • @michalprzybylski1202
    @michalprzybylski1202 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you have any tutorials for LBT for NCCCO?

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not. Sorry. Company I work for sold off our LBT's a few years back so not really a need. As I recall the Manitowoc LBT load charts are laid out pretty much like the LBC. There are some deductions you have the with LBT that are not required with the LBC--wire rope deduction method is the same for Manitowoc LBT and LBC . Link Belt LBT is different on wire rope deduction--deduct excess wire rope. If I needed to take the LBT I would stick with manitowoc because wire rope deduction is easier. If you don't already have the LBT load chart you can download from CCO web site, at no charge. Good luck.

    If on the test, when they give you a deduction for the upper boom point, why are you saying that theres no deduction?

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they give you a deduction weight in the question, then deduct it. I've never seen this on a CCO question but I guess it's a possibility. Generally speaking there is never a deduction for upper boom point (it is already figured into the charts), whether it's on the exam or preparing a lift plan--keep in mind this is only for the Manitowoc Lattice Crawler (LBC). If I remember correctly there may be an upper boom point deduction for Manitowoc Lattice Truck--I am certain the deductions for the CCO exam are not the same for trucks and crawlers. Hope it helps.

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Went back and looked at the charts used on CCO exam. There is no upper boom point deduction for Lattice boom crawlers, but there is a 1000 lb. deduction if you're doing the Manitowoc lattice boom truck exam. These videos only apply to lattice boom crawler exams. Too bad all the exams weren't the same. If you are taking the CCO exam for the LBC and they give you a deduction weight for the upper boom point, let me know. Also on the LBT (truck) there a 1700 lb. deduction for auxiliary drum--auxiliary is not a deduction on LBC

      Load Chart Lab what about study guide for lbc?

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are guides available. The best ones are not free. YOu can look at the test outlines on the CCO site and you can study the OSHA crane regs in Subpart CC of the OSHA construction standard (available online) . If this is your first time around for the CCO test you should look into a workshop--usually a week long.

      I have my TLL just going for LBC endorsement

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you just need the LBC specialty. That's easier than TLL. I think you would be ok just reviewing OSHA regs and practicing the load chart problems. A book I recommend is cranes And rigging by Ronald Garby
