    Should use a problem where it gives 58 main boom 23’ jib with radius of 55” where you have to add boom length and jib length to get 78’ and use range diagram to find boom angle, since you have to use boom angle for non fully extended main boom.

    • @KpPalmer
      @KpPalmer 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s at 55 degrees

    Love your tutorials, tks much. Looking for Manitex Range Diagram tutorial. Haven’t found one. Can you point me in a direction?

      Thank you Thomas. Sorry about the late reply. My real job has been crazy for the last month or so. If you go to the CCO web page and download the manitex chart the range diagram is on page 3. Here is a link that will take you to all the load charts, including the manitex, used on on CCO mobile crane exam www.nccco.org/nccco/certifications/mobile-crane-operator/written-exam/load-charts

    First and for most this was a great presentation, Thank you. I need to know, where can you find the information table and load chart capacity table for the NCCCO Specialty Practice questions you buy online. I have just purchase this item and there is no information to go by in order to answer these problems (15 practice questions).

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Johnny I've already emailed you the answer to your question. But, in case anyone else is looking for the load charts, they can be downloaded free of charge from the NCCCO web page. The Manitex is easy, only a few pages to download and print.

      Wow- I almost bought those. NO ANSWERS? I would be livid.

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      He means the load charts that are used to answer the questions. I cannot provide the load charts because they are copyrighted by the NCCCO but anyone can go to the CCO website and download them at no charge. Instructions for downloading the load charts are included in the problem sets. The problem sets include the answer and a full explanation of how to calculate the answer.

    At what position on the quadrants of operation is the most pressure on the outrigger? On the side, on the back, on the front or the corner?
    The crane and its center of rotation are mounted between the main outriggers. So are the main outriggers considered sides or corners on the NCCCO certification test.

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greatest bearing pressure would be when making a pick with boom over outrigger. Boom trucks with four stabilizers it's going to be when over a corner. Two stabilizers over the side. If on a CCO test they should give you more options than over corner or over side. They should also specify number of outrigger in the question. Hell of a good question. I don't really know how CCO would define. They may use the qudrants labels, if any, specified in load chart? In my experience you're not going to see questions that are this ambiguous. But there is the occasional bad question.

      It's over the corner on CCO exam

    I have a question for you, on the nccco website there is a practice test for taking it online, one of the linkbelts question is what is the maximum radius with a net capacity of X. It also gives you a few deductions like the block and stowed jib. Would you add net capacity with deductions and the gross would have to be higher than that number correct?

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it gives you net capacity you should ignore the deductions. Net capacity is the cranes capacity after accounting for deductions.

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it gives you a gross capacity you should subtract the deductions to find the net capacity.
      Net capacity = gross capacity - deductions
      Gross capacity = the lessor of chart capacity or line pull

    I can't seem to find any information on the actual written part of the exam. Not all of the test is math

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at the NCCCO web site there is an outline of what is covered on the exam. You are correct, only about 30 percent of the test is load chart problems.

    From what I've learned you cannot start this as a blind eye you have to have some kind of knowledge or someone close to you that knows about these machines

      No you take there 4 day course you'll be fine..
      Although they do have a lot of trick questions on the exam, like multiple answers
