CHINESE ELECTRIC SPORTBIKE | What is the RANGE on ONE CHARGE?

แชร์

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 6 ธ.ค. 2019
  • Today we find out HOW FAR the Chinese Electric Sportbike can go on one charge! This video is just to test the range of the bike and see how far it will go - The Chinese Seller sent me the specs and the model I ordered should have a range of 70 kilometers (40 miles) on a full charge...Today we test that.
If you're new here, this is an electric "sportbike" I bought from Alibaba.com (China) and had shipped to the United States. I wanted to see for myself the quality of an electric bike from China.
The link to the bike and all the information is in this video:
    • How I Bought an ELECTR...
BUT, if you're considering buying one like this, watch the whole video. It is very hard to get one of these and you may not get what you pay for.
THE SELLER CHANGED HIS COMPANY NAME TO "Wuxi Jose Vehicles Co., Ltd" ...Avoid them like the plague.

Don’t miss a great opportunity here man! Did you get what you paid for (advertised), no but you did get a pretty cool looking e bike for 1500. Upgrade it man. Better batteries and controller. Keep upgrading till the motor gives up then replace that. Upgrade your ebike DIY eBay edition or some shit. It would be sick if it could compete with ten grand ebikes even though in the end you spend 4 or something like that. Thanks, hope to see some cool upgrades soon with this

Hi buddy, I am a Chinese e-mo player. I have watched your video and I have to say something.
Yes, this thing is cheap. In fact, he only sells for 4,000 yuan in China, which is about $600 in U.S. dollars.
All it has is a cool shell. The battery is indeed lead-acid, and you can buy good lithium-ion batteries to replace it.
As for the slow speed, I think it's not the battery problem.
In China, transportation policies limit such vehicles to 25 to 30 km/h, so there are usually speed-limiting cables at the front of the vehicle to allow higher speeds. If you don't break the warranty, you can open it.
And then you can get a better controller, which is a 12-tube controller in the car I think, and you can get a 36-tube controller, which can provide up to 6,000w of power.
I really hope that Chinese enterprises can bring more cost-effective products to everyone, instead of this too perfunctory thing.
If there are any questions, please contact me, I would be happy to share with you to discuss and explore such products. And I can do my best to solve some problems for you.

      @@NjoyMoney
If it's not Chinese Culture to lie, then what about the plastic rice, scooping oil out of street gutters to fry food with, and all the shameless copying? They have knock-off versions of restaurant logos, fake bags, watches, cars, there are even assholes who go to product events, with cameras & measuring tape, to copy display prototypes before they're even released. Then there are fake parts, fake cloths, fake accessories. Even the face of Inja's bike, is a Kawasaki. You gonna tell me they did that, for people who want the look of a Kawasaki, or Honda CBR, but as an electric? Or did they do that to make onlookers, even buyers, think these bikes are from those companies?
Then there's the incident of me, buying a boost-converter from eBay, for a project. The seller didn't have 1500watt 30amp converters left, but their description said that their 1000watt 15amp converters, can be wired in parallel, to get 30amps...So I brought 2 of those 1k converters, wired them up in parallel to my project, and blew a fuse, and their fuses were less then 15amps, if I remember correctly, they were 10amp blade fuses...And the components on the circuitboards, were marked over, so I couldn't even look up what I had...So I contacted the seller, and they told me, I'm not supposed to wire them in parallel.... told them, their description said I could. They repeated themselves, then I quoted, literally copied & pasted the description (which was still up, during & after this mess), and they just kept repeating themselves, that I shouldn't have paralleled them.
I don't remember if this was a Chinese seller, and I don't remember if they sent me a 1500watt with a refund, or they let me keep the 2 thousands with a refund, just for me to leave a nice review, which I didn't, because I was straight up lied to. And weren't they out 1500watts? Where did this one come from?
GankMan, I understand what you're saying. There are garbage people, in all countries & cultures. But what I went through, and all the shameless copying, almost made me racist against the Chinese. Then there's the Communism, the horrible & unfair social- credit system, were your behavior, personal beliefs, even valid criticism of their government, effects a rating of you, that determines what you can buy, where you can live, and where you can go, even if you just want to leave China.
What the fuck is going on over there?!

That IS Moped level. 35 KPH/20 MPH. I rode one for years as a kid. That is actually written into the law that defines them where I live. 50cc or equivalent with a maximum speed of 20MPH.
All the chinese "mopeds" and e-bikes and all the rest have REALLY messed up that category. There are e-boards and bikes that run faster than a moped can, and they don't need a licence plate. (but conversely they are not legally a vehicle on the road and a moped IS - including right of way)
Actually had a cop pull me over once (yes, I had a license and the bike had a plate) to tell me to guard my right of way and make EVERYONE (including him) respect my lane. I tried to let him go past on a back road. He said if he needed to assert right of way he would use lights/siren -- otherwise I had the same right to the road he did.

Range also depends on battery warmth. If I use mine in city stop start traffic I get significantly more range than riding it along a straight road. I get between 30 and 50 miles between charges.

I'd like to upgrade to the TC Max or just change the Motor and Controller for a QS 8 ~ 12 KW, but just because I'd like to reach at least 100 Km/h for short road trips...

Living in China for over 7 years and driving these Chinese electric bike, you have to customize your bike, first there are a lot types of batteries and that bike has 6 batteries but a small ones which are not littium but with same batteries but just a bit more longer it's more than enough, second the speed is base the type of booster you have, there are much faster that the one your bike has which you can connect it to the laptop and modify the speed, and as you change the booster you also must upgrade the
Power on the wheel at the back of the bike, then you are ready to go. Those types of bikes get broken after 6 months whether you are using it or not, and charging your bike it will take you around 8 hours and for a quick charge I will recommend to charge it between 1.5 - 2 hours. Anyway it's a good bike just for first timers ebikers

For the battery gauge issue it isn't because the gauge calculate the current. It actually calculate the voltage of the battery and when you ask for a big current output the battery voltage falls down. This is why you get theses fluctuations on ur display 😆 sorry if my english is not perfect i'm not english ☺

So it has 20 cells in series 3.7v nominal 4.2x20=84v.Sometimes bms could cut charging to 4.17v so at least 82-83v you should see. I think you have problems with bms or some cells. If you could get for a test good 72v battery you should see difference like night and day. Your motor is good controller is average but battery is total sh.. t.

I think what's wrong is that the battery is comprised of 2 separate packs and maybe only one of them is connected to anything. I'm assuming that each pack is 72v and they're supposed to be hooked up in parallel. But even if only half the pack is functioning, at 72v he should able to hit about 55 mph. What he needs to do is look online and find an e-bike/scooter shop to see if they'll diagnose the problem. There's a few of them in SoCal. Hell he could probably take it to Zero Electric Motorcycles and see if they'll look at it. Of course they'll probably try not to laugh when they see it.
