After arriving in Hong Kong three days ago, I ordered in Cantonese for the first time today and the server understood! loeng5 bui1 ning4 mung1 caa4 tung4 jat1 bui1 jit6 naai5 caa4 m4 goi5 .. all thanks to you Amanda ❤
I'll continue watching this at night... I will start at #01... and take down words.. I am back in grade school again.. 😂 thanks to your videos... it helps me a lot.. I am about to work in HK... and need to learn more Cantonese... ♥️♥️
when I was in hong kong itried my best to learn cantonese I see there non chinese people speak Chinese but not with good excent this could be after if we learn cantonese by a proper Cantonese teacher
to make sure I'm understanding correctly from a previous video. I add 未 before the verb for negation (not yet), and after the verb for a question, but in a postive statement, it's 已經(already)? Also, love the new intro and music
Can you do a video of the history of Have you eaten yet? like why do people ask this question? What kind of response are you suppose to give if someone asked you? For example, in English, if someone asked you "How are you?" you could respond with "I'm doing well" even if you actually are not doing well (it's a lie). Do you answer truthfully when someone asks you "Have you eaten yet?" If your parents ask you "Have you eaten yet?", do you answer truthfully or lie? Do you ask your mom back "Have you eaten yet?" I'm missing the cultural context. I don't ask my parents because they will accuse of not being Chinese enough (they are not very good teachers). Thank you for posting these videos.

Thank you! 恭喜發財 is only for CNY. But still, thank you very much 🎉😊
Thanks for the great lesson Amanda ! So the phrase "nei sik ng sik zo fan ?" is always meaningless ? Or there are contexts where it can be used ?
Grammatically it's not correct.
it should be
nei5 sik6 m4 sik6 faan6
it means: Do you want to eat meal/rice?
Great new theme music😀
Your excellent 😘

Mei!!!.ok understood😊
