actually yes, if you look at the other side of the pond the Rog Ally's receive updates more often but with more bugs, it's amazing how the lenovo drivers work perfectly.
Obviously its because Lenovo is lazy and cant be bothered with. Reason for new drivers are to enhance new games experience and improve stability as shown in video.

AMFM2 does not work with Dragonball Sparking Zero. If the game detects 30fps raw frame rate it runs the game in slomotion. the extra 50 frames the game gets in the video is placebo and it's actually running 50fps. Try that with a game like Black Myth Wukong.

Now the real test of AFMF2 would be in racing games like forza Motorsport and Teat drive unlimited Solar Crown, test those games too. Don’t just test first person and third person games. It’s just a suggestion.
Change your resolution to 1200x800, 144hz, and make sure the game is in full screen mode. That should help with your fps counter. That's what has worked for me and what I've seen in other videos.
What a waste of time. You just proved that the unapproved drivers offer NOTHING. Fake frames to pump up the FPS counter are not at all worth the downsides of side-loading. The games you showed LOOKED THE SAME on both drivers. Who cares if the FPS counter is higher if they perform the same???
First, sideloading doesn’t brick your device. I’ve been sideloading AMD drivers since 24.5.1, and my device has been perfectly fine until now. I can switch between the stock driver and the AMD driver whenever I want. Second, in this video, I want to prove that the stock driver is supposed to provide more stable performance than sideloading the AMD 7840 driver. What’s the point of still using the stock driver if the AMD 7840U provides the same stable performance, plus it has AFMF2 for extra features? Third, if you want your Legion to use its full potential, you should use it with AFMF2. AFMF2 makes a huge difference for games in terms of smoothness and responsiveness. The video doesn’t do it justice, as it caps at 60 FPS, so you may find the animations to be the same, but in real-life testing, the difference is day and night.
This guy... The solely availability of AFMF2 make the sideload justifiable. If you don't know how to do it or not have time to do it, then don't. But to have the guts to come here and talk trash about someone's work, tells more about you than the autor. @T-PEN keep up the good work.
@@MarshallWarner The problem is that MANY Legion Go (and other handhelds, too) owners see this and think that they HAVE TO SIDELOAD. MANY gamers are not PC gaming veterans who know how to get into the guts of Windows. They end up with big problems because they make a mistake or they don't follow the process properly. Then they end up with a big mess that's 100% avoidable. This leads many to return the device or spend hours factory resetting and having to start all over. NONE OF THIS IS NECESSARY. Obviously if anyone wants to side load they are welcome to do what they want. My point is that the effort there is not worth the return and this video PROVES IT. Add in the potential for PC newbs to mess up their software and it's just bad advice. Sure, I can hear you saying "Well if they don't know what they are doing they should not sideload drivers," but we all know people will try whatever they want whether or not they are qualified.
Its worth it because Lenovo is unlike Asus who releases update on a pretty regular basis. Who knows when afmf2 will come out on the go. The perfomance bump in itself is very significant as now higher resolution is possible with demanding games
