Hi may i know do you find that the screen get hot while connected to EGPU? what is the best setting for setup EGPU and also the best cooling solution to reduce the heat generate to the LCD screen.
Hey, I'm wondering what happens to the integrated GPU while you're using the external one. Is it 80% inactive? I wanted the load to be maxed out on both but I'm not sure whether the integrated will just take 0 load and let the external do all the work
have you tried lossless scaling from steam? that makes the lower resolution settings look much better so you can have higher FPS, i think it also has frame gen
@@TechPieAndrewI have the regular amd radeon graphics all updated, the port doesnt even register with thunderbolt. Retro Gaming corps made a recent video with my exact same problem. I’m getting a technician to check it out but the egpu works on my laptop perfect.
@@TechPieAndrewwhen you use the egpu. You should disbale amd graphics within the software. Make a custom tap. And switch back to hyper x when undocked..
4070 x2 performance compared with 1080. Must be way better. Check tests and reviews)) I'm happy with my 4070 Trying to build pc and compare egpu+ legion go vs pc😁
Whats the purpose of this? If you are going to use it as desktop? Why not a laptop most laptops these days have got thunderbolt 4 USB4 everything above 10 gen intel 5000 series ryzen. These are far more underpowered! Plus i dont like them due to soldered ram build into it! If anything goes wrong bad after 2 years of warranty one is screwed
I like the concept, but the performance loss is just too much, with a desktop and that same gpu you would get much more performance... And for that price ... It makes it really hard to justify it
I have a spare 3080 12gb, PSU and Legion go. All I need is a $170-300 egpu dock and I have a second PC for living room. Otherwise I'd have to upgrade wifi route, PC wifi card to stream same quality or worse output to TV on other side of house than I can get out of legion natively
The razer core x is thunder port 3 the best gpu for it its a 2080ti more than that your gona loose to much performance and waste money. A simple google search would save you alor of money this christmas bro 😅
Yoo man, cool gadgets!!! 👍
Thank you!😁
what is your legion space settings ?
will this same setup work with the ally x?
I think it is a little bit harder. It needs an adapter or some specific eGPU box.
Check Reddit, there must be more information about it

Yes, I use balanced mode with an eGPU. I experience slightly less power, but I have no disconnects, and it’s acceptable temperature for me.
the temperature on you console will dissipate to the LCD screen when playing too long
Will the legion boost station charge the go even in performance mode
It holds the charge and gives about 5-10% per hour

now we need someone teach how to disable integrated egpu to increase performance..
hello bro, can i ask it can charge into Legion Go?
Yes👍
But slower than the regular charger
have you tried lossless scaling from steam? that makes the lower resolution settings look much better so you can have higher FPS, i think it also has frame gen
No, I want to try it next month and make a video about it😁
Was trying to get it work, what cable did you use to connect the egpu to legion go my friend. I tried tb3, usbc 240w. Is it just usb4?
I have regular tb3
Do you have gpu driver installed?

@zaristophanes you need thunderbolt drivers installed
Thanks. Subbed. Good luck buddy.
Thank you! I appreciate it🔥💪
@TechPieAndrew you should do a video of how newer emulators like ps3 and Xbox 360 emulators work on the LGO.
I'll try to do it!
What games should I try?
@TechPieAndrew i think on ps3 and red dead redemption on 360 are common ones used. But feel free to surprise us.
What +RT MEANS?
RT = Ray Tracing👌
@@TechPieAndrew thanks that's come not on my mind
Do you have to uninstall the amd Drivers or can you just have both nvidia and amd drivers
I just installed it on top

Dont you think 4070 will perform better in 1440p resolution? The 1080 with egpu is so low .

I'm happy with my 4070

I wish if you do another video of knowing how to install the Nvidia drivers for the Lenovo Legion go
I'll try to do it soon!😁👌
@@TechPieAndrew 👍
Yes do it Reddit tells me but when I try it conflicts with the amd drivers on the device itself
@@deadly134 what are you trying to say? Are you trying to say you trying to download drivers for your? EGPU on your handheld using USB4 port.
Think thunderbolt 5 is where egpu will really shine. Itll be pricey i think so it may not be worth it for what you spend or if you dont value it
Keep in mind that thunderbolt 5 has the same bandwidth as oculink so it won’t be thaaaat big of an improvement. Appreciated nonetheless
Can you use the legion go screen itself without a monitor with this set up?
Sure
Easy😁
I sold my Razer Core X in exchange for a Th3p4g3 85w TB3/4
That's great!
What benefits do you see in this for you?
@TechPieAndrew size for sure and that I can swap out psu's or gpu with ease

Yeah I agree, for the price of an 470 and the dock you can get a laptop that will perform better with an 4060 laptop gpu.
@@broskiebro3898 exactly, what more performance do you really need, the graphics are still better then what the ps5 gives you
Just buy an Xbox
Lol
Too expensive I don't shit money, (even with 3 or 4 jobs can't indulge myself with this) (and I'm from the US)
Bro the legion go is 750$ … i work one job. It’s not crazy. lol. You can get the one x for 799. 1500 and you got a power house

You know it can use 30 Series, too, right? Simple google search, lol
