    I love your videos!!! I fix iPhone digitizers for friends (free). This last phone I did was completely smashed! You could see through the phone in two corners. It's owned by a landscaper so it takes a licking. After install I noticed a white spot on the display. Would you say I got a bad digitizer (not from you) or some other internal damage is causing that?

I replace cables on laptop many times never had this happen but they are a little bigger so disaippointed to get almost to the end. Thanks for the video

      This video does not properly show you how to remove the home button cable 14:45 that runs behind the metal plate. The FPC connector that's stuck to the bezel is very hard to come up and you have to get underneath it for proper removal. There is a metal plate under it. The easiest way to remove that part of the cable w/o damaging it, is to slice through the plastic bezel bumper it rest against with a razor blade, get underneath the metal plate & lift upward. You probably damaged that cable when removing it and that is why the touch ID doesn't work.

    Alright so I did this and now my touch ID and front facing camera won't work. And when I'm on the phone I cannot hear the person's voice but I can hear when I'm watching something on youtube or listening to a voice recording. Also, are we supposed to move the circular plastic piece on the front camera and move it to the new screen?

    • @icharpod
      @icharpod 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nehemie Mac Yes you should've moved the plastic piece. The front facing camera problem is probably because you tore the cable internally when removing the upper microphone.

    I sent my phone by mail to a repair store. I got it back and now the screen has lines and no touch response. Also apps and typing launch by themselves. Is it the digitizer cable that might have come loose or is damaged? The one you mentioned is quite delicate and needs to be seated properly ?
