    Very nice tutorial. All beginners should know that it takes a lot of practice to feel confident in any stroke. So do many many laps. Aim to get the timing right. Exercise well before diving into the pool. Practice, learn from your coach, practice, learn from co-swimmers, practice, learn from TH-cam, practice and then you are perfect.

    I have a problem of sinking too deep after taking a breath, making it harder to go up again for the next breath, because I would be a little too far from the surface. A swim coach used to tell me that my body density is high. Is that a factor in regards to my problem? Or is my breaststroke technique the issue here?

    • @lemony1004
      @lemony1004 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same problem. I'm wondering if I need to not pull as much for the breath

    • @LukeSeed
      @LukeSeed 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone's body density is roughly the same. It's a technique issue; don't pull too much and don't let your hands go past your head/shoulders. Some people describe this as not letting your elbows go too far back.

    • @SharronV
      @SharronV 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Luke Seed thank you! I’ve been experiencing the same issue. I was thinking that my elbows are probably too far behind. What you’re saying makes perfect sense.

    • @ericsong19988

      You could try locking a float in your legs and keep constantly practising the breathing. If not just keep trying the fear of swallowing water will probably make you better

    • @jacklurcher5813
      @jacklurcher5813 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HalloJochen Sounds like you're trying to do the exhale and then breath in again in the very short time your head is out of the water.
      When your head is out of the water breath in, when your head dips under the water slowly breath out during the glide, then when your head comes out of the water you're ready to breath in straight away, rather than trying to quickly breath out and in again.
      It's not easy, but keep practising and you'll get there.
