That dynamic parent thing is a must have. I have spent so much time moving objects around trying to make it look natural when one character gives something to another character. Your message at the end is perfect. I've been using blender for years and I watch these addon videos all the time but I rarely actually install one. I just see them as backup plans for the future, something to keep my eye on
I've seen a demo for the particle nodes and it reminded me so much of Winamp's Advanced Visualization System editor. The "everything node" implementation that Blender team is preparing would be like the quantum mechanics and general relativity of the 3D universe, where the types of nodes would be like the types of marticles, and the ways they interact make up the Standard model.
yeah i agree with what he said near the end. animation fundamentals are so important that the lacks of it would just make everything "lifeless" no matter how awesome tools/looks are. only install the addons that make you think "OMG i SO NEED this feature" its like learning to draw with pencil and paper, dont bring more distractions to yourself at first. animation is 100% if not more qualified as an art, its a beautiful thing for those who love it. (probly agony at the same time or is it just me : b)
Animaide is the addon of my dreams. I really wish Blender had a lot of these tools by default. The animation interface is especially lacking compared to other animation software, but thankfully the awesome Blender community has got our backs!
I'm glad you included x-muscle. I have been experimenting with it for a while, not that many resources out there on learning to use it, but the developer is chill and will answer any questions if you email. Though I still don't know how do you gradually remove layers or make skin transparent in the final render, as we see in the jungle book animation? awesome video dude, thank you for sharing all this useful knowledge
That animation is probably just three different renders put toghether in editing. You could probably do it in blender animating the transparency value of materials, but it's faster to just do it in editing, I think.
I'm glad you mentioned that addons aren't a shortcut to mastering the fundamentals. Don't get me wrong I like addons just as much as the next girl/guy, just think people shouldn't rely on 'm. *The dynamic parenting is an absolute win, though!*
All addons is amazing, but Dynamic Parrent - this is the best, its solution for some problems with animation rotation object who have keep offset or child off parent - i have many times weard animation. Dynamic parent solve all my problems with this case Thank you very much
Oh jeez... As a complete rookie when it comes to blender animation, I have had a number of obstacles I couldn't get past. This video just solved most of them, and I think I'm gonna have to take it in segments, otherwise, it's just way too much info for my newbie brain.
I've been trying to get a hold of artell for a long time now. I own auto rig pro and had it in 2.81 I have the latest zip file in blender file. I now have blender 2.83 alpha . When I try to install it from preferences it says module installed but I do not see it in preferences. I wonder if it works with 2.83 alpha
Animbox is also great for animating rigs in blender, runs, walks, jumps, I'm looking for something similar but with a few more options e.g sword slashes punches etc
(Don't know if already said, but) rather than Sverchock, check out Sorcar (a Houdini-like node system). And for animating architectural stuff like that bedroom, just take a look at "Archimator", a huge node setup to create amazing architectural self building animations like a breeze!
Do people recommend auto rig pro to rigify? Is it easier to use and manage than rigify? I always feel like rigify is very complex but it’s nice it’s free!
i'm new to blender. what is the best way to create facial rigs for realistic and stylized characters (not bendy) ? looking for great, clear tutorials or courses. thanks
Hi I went to blender artists yesterday to try and get the dynamic parent soon, but when I tried to copy paste the python it saved as txt everyone I tried even in Christ, it's there a meeting I forgot to follow?
Kind of offtopic: Are you using a Surface Book 2? Which specs does it have? Runs well with Blender? How about sculpting with its tactile screen? I haven't seen opinions on Surface Book 2 with Blender. Thanks!

Where did you download it the link he gave points to a page where the download is broken.
Great video Jonathan!
He look like Jordie from yt kwebellokop
Could we next get a tutorial on your curly hair? XD it looks good
Thats hair took effort.. fo sho
Just use the screw modifier with particles
@@kidnee3744 And remember to use hair particles and not emitter. I was wondering why he had hair fall on render.
.
Breathtaking
Loved this video. Thanks
what addon animated your curls? musta taken over an hour to render.
You stole my comment!!!! XD I was going to say something similar.
Rumplegirlskin technically, you would steal it

Those curls bro 😍
Thank you, Weird Al, for this video!

oof that x-muscle system looks so promising. I've only heard of getting that kind of detail through a complex rig with shape keys, drivers, etc.
thank you so much, autorig was the one i desperately needed
most of these are mind blowing, it will take me a lot of time to learn all of this
Thank you! There is so much to learn... 😁🙏🤗
im relatively new to blender and thank you this really helped me a lot
i fell in love with the render transition hahaha
Thank you so mush ,these tools are really usefull for animators!
I'm glad AnimAide and Auto Rig Pro is on this list :D
This was a good video. Well spoken. Clear and to the point.
Thank you so much for this video. Also please upload the procedural eyes video.
MotionTrail3D looks dope. I think this is something Blender should have by default, the ability to edit the animation via the generated motion trails.

Wiggle over jiggle but whatever wobbles you better!!! :-) That was a good one!!!
I thought he said what ever wobbles your boat.
Like what ever floats your boat?
This video was really good! Thanks!
Very informative
This is very useful. Thank you.
Great list thanks!

The #1 is simply AWESOME !!!!!
Please make a tutorial on it.

I've been trying to get a hold of artell for a long time now. I own auto rig pro and had it in 2.81 I have the latest zip file in blender file. I now have blender 2.83 alpha . Is there any that you recommend that are like auto rig?(Im just looking for one where you can switch the bones.)
Thanks for the video. I wonder if some of the stuff missing in Blender 2.8 will be addressed in 3.0?
Awesomee!
Thank you
Thank you Jonathan
Super cool and fantastic
Are there any tools that can help easily create IK rigs for models that have existing rigging?

I like your set-up for the video...
Like the hair...and the tips
These are actually really helpful add-ons! Also are they all free?
Animbox is also great for animating rigs in blender, runs, walks, jumps, I'm looking for something similar but with a few more options e.g sword slashes punches etc
Holy hell dynamic parent is magical
Turn your hair into a rigid body and apply hair simulation to it. Add a curly modifier and there you have them curls
(Don't know if already said, but) rather than Sverchock, check out Sorcar (a Houdini-like node system). And for animating architectural stuff like that bedroom, just take a look at "Archimator", a huge node setup to create amazing architectural self building animations like a breeze!

Howard Stern drank from the Fountain of Youth.

rofl!
Does jigle bone good for hair?
What do you recommend for learning animation nodes? Any good courses out there?
Wow. And your hair is angelic.
Do you have a tutorial on how to make everything fall into place? Thank you!

i'm new to blender. what is the best way to create facial rigs for realistic and stylized characters (not bendy) ? looking for great, clear tutorials or courses. thanks
X-Muscle System looks promising.
Could anyone tell me how to install dynamic parent? And get it working
Anyone knows how to change skin weights for a specific element without affecting the rest elements?
Hi bro. Can you show me a good tutorial for using xsens mocap and blender? Thx
Kenny G quit his music and decided to get into blender. awesome.
The thought of 3D animation makes my hair curl.
Hi I went to blender artists yesterday to try and get the dynamic parent soon, but when I tried to copy paste the python it saved as txt everyone I tried even in Christ, it's there a meeting I forgot to follow?
Is this 3D orange character available to download 9:41 ?

Kenny G!
Woow's Kenny CG!!!!

How do you make it to speak to the camera so confident?
