You picked some gnarly spots. I have never seen you in the ground that much before. I like it, shows you are pushing it. Just because we have a trick in one spot doesn't mean we have them at every spot on lock. Each spot has its own challenges. I am cool with Red.
I got back into skateboarding almost a year ago now and haven't heard of this. My first deck was a red top ply and I definitely had many falls with it. But thats because i was learning how to skateboard all over again.

I avoid the light color tops. They can be yellow, red, orange, purple, pink or whatever, they just need to be the dark stain rather than the light. Only in dire circumstances would i get one like that. Also just started rewatching workaholics and finally know why I know your outro.. so rad.

Never heard of the curse of the red top ply. I've got a board where all of the Bottom is red, just got it...I'm going to have to check my other boards. Shit I've got an expensive wide 10.0 Santa Cruz fairly new & 1/4 of it is Red on top & it got broke in half by a car within the first 10 minutes of me getting it, but I repaired it...Damn, maybe its true..!?
I tore my hamstring right off on a green top ply deck, and i broke my wrist on a black top ply deck, never had an issue with the red... it the operator not the equipment
This is too funny as I will not skate a red board as well. I had one (H-Street Matt H) in my 35+ years of skating and it was the worst experience ever. From that day I said I would never ride red again and haven’t.
When i was a teen i noticed i would do random anxious ticks(mostly biting the side of my cheek) i notice through video footage that seems most skaters give into their OCD ticks also 😂 you see skaters giving daps/kicking their trucks/ grabbing their junk/ kissing necklaces before doing tricks
I cant say anything about a red top curse in terms of injury... but I will say the last time I had a red top I quit skating for nearly 15 years... So, I mean that sucked but should I blame it on the red top?... Maybe.... actually, yeah I think I will.
