Land based Salmon fly fishing in lake Vättern!

- Fly fishing in Sweden, lake Vättern for land-locked Atlantic salmon.
Some say you'll need to cast 10 000 times to have a Salmon bite from the cliffs in lake Vättern, so I decided to recorded every trip I did to lake Vättern to see how long it would take to catch a Salmon, while fly fishing.

WOW that lakes looks so big, like the ocean!
It's giga-normous, throwing the fly in there feels like fishing in the vastness of space!
Its Gigantic, Like Europes 6-7th largest lake. 135km long, 31km wide or something like that and 120m max depth. Its connected to the Baltic ocean.
@@graffzon I live by the lake, its not connected to the baltic ocean at all, vättern is located in the middle of the country. The only way to reach the baltic ocean from vättern is through a canal across sweden that goes through several other lakes.

Hi Oskar A nice film from Lake Vättern👌 I fish myself from my outcast fish cat 4 float tube. I have been doing this for many years and especially the last 5 to 6 years. I have had back surgery a few times and have had multiple sclerosis for 10 years. So I'm really happy with my Fish cat 4. Do you know if you can use a float tube on Lake Vättern? If so, maybe you can give me a hint as to where I could go from. It could be cool to get the chance for a salmon and then from my indispensable fish cat 4. It's healthy to have dreams and especially if they come true 🙏😎🐟🎣

@@salmonpartners belly boats are allowed also, some people does it on occasion. I think the rules in Vättern within 300m of the shore is, any fishing technique that doesn't require a boat. So any form of trolling or rowing bait/flies/lures or otterboarding isn't allowed.

Helt rätt, jag körde ett #7 spö. Men man kan med all del köra allt mellan #6-9 om man vill, skulle nog säga #7 eller #8 som perfekt.
