Had a pike strike my cam aswell, uploaded it 2 years ago - thought it was kinda special but there are so many videos of this on youtube as I found out. Maybe its the lense of the cam - who knows :D
Or they simply just prefer simple, black ”lures” with no movement at all and we can all sell our tackle boxes 😂

@@silasestlander It's quite simple after you look up the bone layout and learn the technique. the bigger the pike the easier it is to remove the bones, that said i would be reluctant to eat a pike bigger than 4kg
As someone who works with such electronic devices, I can confidently say that the voltage and the current, passing trough the circuit of the underwater camera are very close to the heartbeat and the nervous system of a small baitfish (nano - micro Amps. and micro to mili Volts). There definitely is a probability that the pike sense the pulses from the camera, although the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is sealed and fully waterproof, which would make it nearly impossible for any electronic signal to get out of the plastic casing of the camera.

Hey there!! Happy Birthday my friend!! Just a quick question, I'm sure the answer to this question is no but I thought I'd make it official. Do you guys have Muskies or their proper name Muskellunge over in your fisheries. I'd have to say no because they grow bigger and are more fierce than pike and a much more sought after trophy fish than pike over here in the states. Anyway I hope your birthday was great for the whole day and whole night following!! Cheers to you both and keep casting away!! BOATSIDE!!

Guys!😅Awesome energy & great vid! Gained a follower today lads! 👍👍Just saw the “boat SIDEEE” part! God I love how aggressive Northerns can be! How they will stalk & take multiple swipes at somthing if they want it..
tip for the people new to pike fishing..if you miss the first bite & you end up yanking it away from them..just let it sit for a moment & then continue fishing it from there.. trust me, even the most heavily pressured Pike will remain aggressive even if they get pricked..(dont just do what everyone does & immediately retrieve all the way in to recast after a missed bite)…just give it another chance, SERIOUSLY give it another 2 or 3 chances if you have the opportunity!!
Side note to this>I had a small Jack-pike nail my salmon lure 4 times before I got it to shore..but then as I stood there watching my better half casting, with my lure out of the water about 12-18”..the same Jack pike jumped right out chomped my lure bit clean through the braided line & made off with my brand new salmon lure..😢😅😂 it was both a hilarious & expensive experience. Love bait fishing for pike too! NOTHING beats the “Jaws” moment of watching the bobber go down & get dragged away & under..I can’t help it, I always hummed the “dunnn dun, dunnn dun.” Then if I thought it was a gooder I was yell “I’m gonna need a bigger boat!!!” Whilst shore fishing!

Hey I am from Kentucky and I love e fishing catfish caught some big ones never caught a pike but is there catfish around where you guys live and y’all should try that and if you ever have free time I suggest fishing in the USA love the channel kelp up the good work
Maybe you should make a "black blob" bait?
Since you are used to throwing big and heavy lures, you should invent a lure that is big enough to put the camera inside the lure. Then the pike cannot get distracted from your lure and the potentially attractive electronic signals come from the lure itself. Plus it should be easier to cast.

Electric lures work like crazy for pike. I have one that swims on it's own and I just throw it out there with a big bopper. Catches huge pike in hard to get places. You should try one of those.

I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin so the biggest fish I’ve caught in my 11 years of life was a 2-3 pound largemouth bass, so you guys smash that.. and I’ve never even seen a northern pike.. I’m planning on becoming a fishing TH-camr like you guys so these videos inspire me so far! 😀

You are both great fishermen and super nice coverage of our advontures!! Only thing is why you drill the fish that hard like say bass pro style? Drill time must be short as possible but too much power on the fish causes lost fish or wounds. All the rest is great and inspirational!
Video Idea if you are willing to spend a ton of time and money. You should do a catching every pike species video because there are tons of crazy less known pike species.
Chain Pickerel ( green pike )- only in America slightly smaller than normal pike.
Southern pike- Southern Europe and Mediterranean about normal pike size.
Amur pike- in Asia grow 120+ northern pike size can grow bigger.
Muskie- you already know
Normal pike- yak
Tiger Muskie- hybrid pike/ Muskie all over northern US and maybe in Europe also idk.
