Interesting that, during the overhead shot, a fish fighting the line pretty hard didn't bother them, but when your line went over them, they immediately flushed away and went back to where they felt safe.

Ok guys this is by far my most favorite fishing vid ever !! just one question is this the south island or the north ? . I was In New Zealand back in 1982 to 1984 for Operation deep freeze , Christ Church was the city I must say it was one of the best times of my life , wish I would have fished more then I did . The people there are some of the best and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure to have known . I think I am going to re visit next year after all the covid stuff is over , finally retired and have been telling myself I am going back to spend a month and really see the south island . I know very little of the north island but would love to see it also . please let me know if you might be able to give me some tips on where to go and other info that would help . I have a friend there and im sure she and her husband will also help me . Love your channel , I just subscribed and am excite to see more vids . thank you guys for this eye candy . Bill J

Got to admire fish of that size , casted a dry fly to a trout close to double figures once, heart was pounding.....fly got stuck in tree above him, so i thought bugger it, just sat there and had lunch watching him instead lol.

4:50 Amazing fishing! The density of big fish in this river is simply incredible! There are another 30 odd fish the same size in that pool! It must take a lot of feeding for big resident trout to reach that size! Could you please tell us what those fish feed on?
