    I have the 45inch version. I prefer gaming on this over my 42inch C2 just because of how immersive it is. The way it wraps around your FOV when gaming without the need to move your head up and down is pure perfection.

    I've been using this monitor around 10h to 12h a day since 3 months, mostly for work (software developpement) but also for gaming.
    Most of the worries I've seen online are non issues :
    - the pixel density is more than good enough, even for small texts
    - oled is perfectly fine for productivity IMO. We will see in a few years for burn-in, but I'm not too worried about it
    - the brighness is sufficient. It's set at 85% when there is direct sunlight in my office, with ABL disabled. So there is some margin
    - the coating is just perfect, I don't get why people complain about it. Glossy screens look odd next to this
    One thing that is true, and it was my main concern before buying : the color fringing, in certain conditions. It is noticeable.
    At first it was a bit disturbing. However, I don't really notice it anymore, unless I look for it.
    I think it's just a different pixel pattern than what we are used to with LCD, and in the end it's not a big deal. The advantages of OLED exceed easily this issue.
    However I have a few complaints :
    - no USB-C input
    - the power brick should have been integrated, and it should not be this HUGE. I've never seen a power brick this big on any device. Even my old 350€ monitor has an integrated power supply
    - the ambiance lights are almost useless. In full darkness in front of a white wall, it's barely noticeable
    - the menus are not great, there is room for improvement
    - the build quality is not in adequation with the price
    Overall I have absolutely no regret, I could not go back to another monitor.
    The things that matter the most are perfect for me : the size, the curvature, the aspect ratio, and of course the image quality...
    I'm just a bit annoyed to pay a big price and have the kind of prestations that you find on a monitor 4 times less expensive (everything outside of the panel)

    • @frogboyx1Gaming
      @frogboyx1Gaming  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Fair enough I can see how the power brick is probably the worst part about it. But as you say no regrets at all.

    • @grayavatar9766
      @grayavatar9766 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Does the brick get hot? Maybe they kept it external to reduce temperature behind the screen.

    • @PAD32
      @PAD32 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@grayavatar9766 it's just slightly warm. With the size of the screen, there is plenty of room for heat dissipation, if they wanted to integrate it

    To me 1440p 39" is the sweet spot, my opinion is that having a PPI above 90 is way overrated, anything above that point I'd rather take the frames(and the low GPU usage) with the lower PPI which is something that can be solved by moving the display a little bit backwards and not requiring a much more expensive GPU and/or force me to lower frames, my 32" VA G7 at 1440p already looks really good and I sit close and I can't tell the individual pixels.

    When I buy a TV or monitor first thing I do is look at the screen, got to be just a little matte not shiny but not too matte like 40 grit sandpaper. I think my screens are 400 grit sandpaper. I worked for years in a dealership auto body shop so I think of textures in sandpaper grit.

      Personally at 1440p I would just opt for DLAA since DLSS/DLAA is legitimately the best anti aliasing around right now. I'm curious what your experience is with DLSS since you are so opposed to it.

    To correct you on your time with the monitor. What you stated 4 months isn't true, you got your LG Ultra wide back in "June 22", that's only 2 months ago from june 22 to july 22 thats one month then go from july 22 to August 22 thats only 2.2 months including now that it's September. Did you know that this monitor can do 4k resolution? I found this on another site and I thought he was kidding. First you have to use the HDMI cable that came with the monitor. Now I use an Nvidia card but most likely AMD has resolution setting for 4k. 3840x2160. Now after that your screen will squish for a bit but if you go to your monitor OSD and then Input-Aspect Ratio-Original that will fix the squishness. Couple of things though it will only be 120hz and it will make it 16:9. And you can play with the display for the fonts to make it larger and if you go to display settings on windows you will see the 4k results. If you knew about this then sorry for telling you this but if you don't try it out if you like it but I don't get the credit because someone else did it and I forget the name.
