Hi Claire! Sorry offtopic... Do you guys probably know if the waterfalls around Kampot are worth visiting at the moment...or will they be dried out already. Thanks a lot ❤
Thanks also add Itchy Feet, Autumn in Asia and Out of your shell to that list. All are showing what Cambodia has to give. Thanks for watching and commenting 😇
Hi, Friends! I can remember that you did a feature on cheap accommodation in Siam Reap, a year ago. Something about 200 USD...? Where was that, can you tell me...? I'll soon revisit SR....❤
Hi Jeremy & Claire 😊, " Welcome Home " , hope you are both doing well 😊, this was such a nice visit to Jaya House 😊, hope to see you both around town , take care , Peace
Me and the Mrs would ride past here every day on the bike....for 7 months...."Let's go in there for drinks one afternoon!:" Place looks stunning - even from the road. Never made it, lol. Next time.
Claire, How often do you feel you & your husband still feel you are using riel or $USD cash vs your bank app? Do you think over the next few years more will just be on the app to pay? 💰 😊
That hotel is pure class. And the rooms (I just checked) are just a wee tad over what we here in NZ pay for a very average and out-dated motel room. In the middle of nowhere. With no restaurant (especially with a breakfast like that!) and staff who might just wish they were elsewhere. Sigh.
G'Day to both of you n happy new year ! , That hotel looks like an experience to enjoy ! from the moment you walk in , the yummy looking food (drooling) to the ambient surrounds , def should be on you to do list there. Catchya...
This was such a beautiful video! Thank you for sharing this. Claire, when you can in the future would you be willing to please do an updated video for n rules & regulations regarding living in Cambodia but having an online business in your home country? A refresher for living there with visas? Thank you. The people seemed so kind at this hotel 😊
Appears to be 'priced' beyond my means - and likely would be in many parts of the world ! -- Might very well have to do 'once' - but I'm afraid it will instantly become a 'special event' kind of thing - leading to my immediate search for those 'special events' to begin to schedule !?! ( 😁) --- Not a 'budget friendly' thing necessarily. -- -- -- I would really like to see the opposite too now - an absolute bargain best breakfast in Siem Reap for a small amount of $ and really good price - w/o the fancy necessarily ?!? -- If -- more than one exists - that's OK - well & good ! Show us a few really '''budget friendly''' - please - if you don't mind a time or two ? Thanks you two for all you do - as it is !!! 😀 ❤ 👋 🙏 👍 🤗 🍺
The breakfast was $15 special occasion 😋 We don't usually eat out for breakfast (only on special occasions), we just have a basic breakfast at home. There are plenty of street food places to eat, pork and rice ($1.25), Chicken and rice ($1.75 ).
@@ForRiel ❤ FANTASTIC - I so look forward to trying some of the food there out. I'm really tired of what is here in the US - especially for the prices here now ! -- It's awful. 🙏
Wow that is one very impressive 5 star hotel - the food looked soooo good and the over all ambiance all around the place was beautiful - Appreciate the video guys 😃✔️👍👋🙏
What an absolutely gorgeous, delightful place! Having seen your video, I will certainly go. It would have been interesting to have seen more of the food items that you ordered. Do you know if a breakfast buffet goers are allowed to swim there, all inc.? Great to see! - Thanks.
Hi there, someone who's been there here, breakfast usually goes on until around 10 am, but the pool sitch, sadly it's only available to guests. But do not fret, the sky bar as well as the restaurant is open to all ( they also serve lunch and dinner ). Hope this helps x.
A lovely looking place, and you certainly sold it to me as a must visit place when in Siem Reap. On a separate note, is tipping expected/appreciated in Cambodia. My instinct is to tip but I remember on my one and only visit to Laos, the taxi driver who took us on a trip around Vientiane looked at my tip at the end of the day in surprise before accepting it.
Good to see how the other half lives. Price per night there is our weekly accommodation budget when travelling. What is the price just for breakfast? Sent you a pm.
I would say the other 5% lives 🤣 The price for the breakfast was $15 all in, it was at the start in subtitles. Maybe we should have said it a few times. We will definitely be back!
Hi. Been watching about your city there. Not sure, but looking. I live in Chonburi province, Thailand, south of Pattaya. Tourist overpricing here is out of control. Immigration, drivers license, are terrible nightmares. I am tired of it all. Will try to visit Phnom Penh first. I am just turning 73, need to be near large, good health care. I want quiet peaceful life now. Are visas, drivers licenses, electric bills, banking, reasonable in Cambodia. I am not rich, but can afford a decent condo, home, and a newer, new, vehicle. Scared of Motos here.
We just loved our experience at Jaya House River Park and hope you are inspired to go there for breakfast when you are in Siem Reap.
Hi Claire! Sorry offtopic... Do you guys probably know if the waterfalls around Kampot are worth visiting at the moment...or will they be dried out already. Thanks a lot ❤
Looks like the food were catered for white European and Western, not so much Asian type, LOL
A duck sofa? That's just quackers!
Completely, but it does look comfy!
Ah yes , what a friend we have in cheeses...
🧀 🫕 it's so good 👍
FOR RIEL and Dave In Cambodia are two of my favorite TH-cam channels devoted to Cambodia. Both are excellent.
I'd add Itchy Feet
I would get that looked at 🤭🙈🤣

You can find many properties around that price. Jeremy will be doing a few property tours in the coming months.
Definitely delicious…

Worth more than $15. Perfect for someone with champagne taste but beer bottle change... Great for special treatment....
Definitely worth it, we agree! It's one every few months kind of place for us.
Yeah, that looked pretty amazing
Was really good. Well worth the $$!

Hi Brian, got home Monday. That was a big month for us. Will meet up soon.
Wow, I thought, I wanna stay there next time! Then I looked at the prices…😮. I guess we can eat there! 😂
@@truthtalkinternationalthere are many Rolls Royces and other expensive cars. The owners are the locals.
@@truthtalkinternationalyes, disparity is wide… although Cambodia experiences growing middle class, it is still not fast enough…
Yeah it's expensive but if you have the money go for it. Unfortunately we haven't......

Hi Claire have stayed Jaya house a few times, yes it's a lovely hotel but I don't think it's as good as it was
Sorry to hear that. Breakfast seems top notch 👌
Lovely place, enjoyed my breakfast with you, definitely will have to go there next time I visit you both. Take care .
Definitely! It's such a lovely place with beautiful staff.
Great deal for breakfast… buffet in Phnom Penh Marriott was $20 /person before COVID 2019.
Fantastic deal, especially with the beautiful surroundings.
We're visiting Cambodia in a couple of weeks time, might have to put that on our list for breakfast at least one day. Thanks for sharing.
You won't regret it!
Very yummy breakfast of champions…
It was the best we have had in a long time 🥰
Food looks great

Happy Australia Day have a great day, it’s hot and dry in Rocky today
Beautiful place and nice video
Unfortunately its price has gone up, but still a great place to treat yourself 😊
Cost of brekkie?
It's $15 USD per person. It's a bargain for the standard you receive. 🎉
@@ForRiel yes. A nice treat.
I'd like to know how much it costs a day???

Tipping is not expected but appreciated. We tip every passapp ride 50c which is usually a 30 to 50% tip.

How much is the breakfast and does one need to prebook?
I think it has gone up. Best to contact the hotel directly.
how much was breakfast ? Planning on going this week
I've heard that it's gone up to $20 a person recently. I think it's a little too expensive at that price.
