Cambodia is truly the best place I've ever been to. Angkor Watt, such a localized feel, and the people are beyond nice which says a lot about the people since they've been through so much.

Siem Reap is full of beautiful hotels restaurants cafes everywhere.. it is still suffering frm the COVID setback.. I go past the embassy hotel each day and it’s very quiet for such a nice hotel 🫤

Nice hotel but to be honest you should try Khmer Hotel Resort on Palm St (runs between Sala Kamreuk Rd and 7 Makara Rd - not too far from where you are. Closer to town in fact). You can negotiate to $40 a night. You don't get a personal pool, but it's not much less in the way of comfort.
Also you are not too far away from Joe's Burgers in George's Lane - their smash burgers are to die for.....

Love your content broski! Siem Reap is beautiful place, specially Angkor Wat Temple. I would love to see you do more eating. You should try on of the buffets there and you won’t be disappointed.
We were going to stay at this hotel last year when we were in Siem Reap and cancelled because it's too far out. We instead booked at the Treeline Boutique Hotel which was very nice and on the river across from the Palace and the shopping area.

Thats a bummer, especially when breakfast is bad. I remember staying in a beautiful but pricey hotel in Koh Samui and the breakfast was shocking, if we are splashing out we should get the best of everything 😊
Luxury hotel in Paris will not be $180 and with full breakfast and teas that’s for sure. But in Cambodia I understand you expect a bit more for the price

We stayed at Hotel Home Indochine d’Angkor old French mansion converted to hotel with amazing woodwork and beautiful staff and restaurant with amazing food at good prices. Just over the bridge from pub street 2 minutes scooter ride
$180 a night is a lot. That is about a month’s wages for most Cambodian people. The young women who showed you your room and served you the beer likely don’t make more than that. You can rent a nice studio apartment with a pool in SR for $180 a month.
Overall, your videos are pretty good. FYI, In the beginning, when you said you were going down Pub Street, you weren’t. It isn’t Aspara, it is Apsara. The statues with multiple arms are not Buddhas…that would be Vishnu.

I stayed in this Hotel in exactly the same room three times last year. But I never paid more than around 110 USD. The breakfast was always amazing. There was a buffet, an egg-station and in addition one could order warm dishes from their breakfast menu. And did you miss the afternoon tea and biscuits? Its there every afternoon for free. Are you sure you stayed in the Angkor Embassy Hotel in Siem Reap? ;-)

Chris the really should have had a better breakfast !! This me looked like maybe it was a large apartment complex or a huge house that had large families living there . That amount should have had some of their cultural food they make unless their country is lacking food. Thanks Chris great video! Miss Gladys!!
Chris, next time you should try a resort called ‘Templation’. They got way better food,nice stay, abit pricey tho, but definitely worth it.

It’s All about experience, you don’t just experience cheap things/places but u also need to experience the luxury as well. When I travel, I like to stay at a different hotel every night. A little hustle but I like to experience the difference between place to place. So, every one is different , do what you like, not what people say. It experiences that counts.
