Great fix for my wife’s 2008 Santa Fe. It was easy enough to do and, after I removed the front panel, she was able to complete the steps herself! Thanks
Wow, thanks for making this video Frank!!! I have just learned to live with my AC constantly turning on whenever it wants for several years. Your video did not exist the last time I did a TH-cam search. I found another video at the time that suggested that the fix was to replace the AC Module altogether which carried a costly dealership price tag. Using your video, I will definitely attempt to "clean-it" first but even if I have to replace the module, I can avoid the dealership labor costs and do the swap myself. Thanks again!
Did you ever try to fix your HVAC from turning on? Replacing a module would be cheaper if that works. I’ve been living with the problem in a 2012 for years and still looking for a fix.
Not yet. I bought the trim tools, dielectric grease, and contact cleaner after I watched this video but I dropped the ball. Thanks for the reminder! I plan on performing the fix in the near future.
My '07 is having some climate control issues. It doesn't get cold, but sometimes it seems like it works fine. I've recharged the system, confirmed the compressor is good, changed the evaporator temp sensor, and it is still unsatisfactory. Looking at replacing this unit, because it look like I can find it for as little as $58 +shipping.
my santa fe model 2010 the problem when morning n night AC it wouldn't turn on if start engine but if noon or wheather hot AC turn on. would this be same problem with your climate control?
I have same control but mine the problem if low fan mose it was automatically shut off you need to put to maximum fan mode to reset i tried to clean same problem my blower resistor its new already. Thank you..
Thanks for video, My AC Was working this morning and after noon it wouldn’t turn on, completely dead, no power at all... then next day it worked then later when i start the car, its dead again... would this be same problem with your?
Wife has same car. Our problem is while driving. If you turn the ac off weight a minute and it turns back on by it self. When car off ac does go off but can not manually push off just turns back on when it wants too. Any advice?

Could be. Try wiggling the knob, if it comes on you know what to do.
