@@MetalTrenches Yes i love them all but Arntor is my favourite. It has this incredible unique sound to it. The first and last Windir album to be recorded in the Famous Grieghallen in Bergen. And also the last album when Windir was a one man project of Valfar
I know most wont agree, but Soknardalr is their best album. Valfar on all instruments that too at the age of 19. The middle instrumental section of the Krystalnatt song makes me teary every time i hear it. Lost him too soon, a true legend of Black Metal. RIP Valfar 🤘🏻
Just got Arntor and 1184 in the mail today! I agree, I think most people would rate Arntor a bit higher (myself included) but they're basically all 5/5 records so it doesn't matter. These guys, Meshuggah, Agalloch and a few others are in a league of bands where the ranking is close to impossible because of their consistency.
I love all their albums but would say their last Likferd is their masterpiece.. All songs and the production is so good on it. ah man the box set is out of stock..
Agreed with just about everything in this video: from the ranking, and even the comment about waffling at times between 1184 and Likferd. 1184 just edges it for me as well.
the boxset was sold out in less than 24 hours on 12.11.2020 after the announcement.. 170$ would have been a bargain, the discogs sellers won't resell it for this price. maybe not even near this price

Windir is definitely one of if not my favorite Black Metal band of all Time. 1184 is definitely my favorite as well
Arntor is the best album and saknet is one of the best musical masterpieces ever made

Antor, Ein Windir is insane!! WTF, One of my favorite song of this bands and Windir is my favorite Black Metal band.

I listened to the second and third album earlier today and quite liked them. Will need to digest more.

Yeah if I had deeper pockets I would have jumped on it. Glad to know that they are still so in demand. Hope it inspires more reissues
