Zach, just a thought. Cleetus is referring to you as “Millennial Farmer” Might want to post the race video on this channel as well as using it to push traffic to Between The Rows. (More B roll footage over there)
So with the Carbon monoxide detector being at the ceiling. How does it let you know your house is full of CO before your already died with it being heavier then air?
Glad to hear your joining Cleetus's race, on one of the last races people were dropping your name a lot. You will have a good time, check out his previous races it gets crazy! Stay healthy!
Hopefully the collaboration with Cleetus helps you get to a million. Millennium Farmer is loved on his channel. The number of folks asking for you to race was huge!
Love it. Cleaning bins was one of my summer jobs as a teenager. Didn't always like the work much then, but it's one of many great memories on the farm looking back on it. Priceless.
"Rainbow Sherbet" - that's hysterical. Late June we helped one of our boys relocate from Minnesota to Florida. We needed fuel in Illinois and ended up paying $6.09/gal. for diesel. That stung.
My first job was working at the Dike, Iowa COOP at 14 in 1977. My job was to be lowered into silos on a harness and level out the grain, and clean the basement under the silos of spilled grain along with hundreds of giant rats!!
The Bristol news is awesome. Many many of us put your name in the hat when Garrett asked for input. I honestly think you had the most votes of anyone. Congratulations.
Zach, My name is Wendell, and I had the worst case of Pancreatitis the doctor's would see this year. After four months, 3 major surgeries and dozens of procedures, I am finally in a recovery mode. It was all caused by a 6mm gall stone blocking my main bile duct causing my pancreas middle and tail to necrotize or die. Due to malnutrition at the hospital(they weren't feeding me enough through the IV), I now have a problem of not being able to absorb all the nutrients from the food. Taking some enzymes to help with that, which is keeping me alive right now. I was a heavy diesel mechanic for 25+ years and thoroughly enjoyed that work. Really enjoy seeing your videos and all the work you guys do. Please make sure that your are not passing gall stones, or that you have a build up of gall stones in your gallbladder. Keep up the good work.
Keep clear of that sweep. I got wrapped up in a 10” last November. I had to fight for my life to get free. While it was eating me alive I called out to God for help. It immediately fell off me and stopped turning. The universal between the gearbox and the auger broke which saved my life. It was nothing short of a miracle. I Thank the Lord my kids still have a dad.
Glad you are feeling better guy as pancreatitis is a serious condition. Stay healthy will hope for some more rain and sun both for you to finish growing a bumper crop.
Pancreatitis is no joke, it's almost killed me twice from allergic reactions to medication. So happy you're doling better! Prayers and good thoughts to you and your family!
I was watching this video today from last summer and you mentioned having pancreatitis. Unfortunately I had to retire from my job because of pancreatitis. I was a fire fighter for 25 years and ended up with hereditary pancreatitis. It has led me to many surgeries and different chronic conditions now. I hope and pray that you never have to battle pancreatitis again. Not sure where you went to a doctor, but they have excellent physicians at the University of Minnesota. I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot about today’s farming!
I work at our local CO-OP. I am a Agronomy worker. But just like a farm, we help out every department. All of our bins have the concaved floors. Makes cleaning faster but it's a pain to walk in.
I remember cleaning out grain bins. That stuff sucked!! Our auger wasn’t that nice so let’s just say there was a lot more shoveling involved 😂😂. I remember my spit was black from all the dust that got in my system from doing that stuff. Ohhh the good ol days…..yah here in Texas we hung it up about 5 years ago. Hard to make a living like this anymore. Love what y’all are doing!! Keep it up!
I worked for a local cattle and row crop farmer after we had to sell out our dairy farming business. He had combined some wet milo and stored it in a grain bin for several months. The top 6 inches or so molded and he made me get in the grain bin and bust it up before he started hauling it off. He didn’t tell me to wear a mask or offer me one. It took me an hour or so to get the job done. That night my chest started hurting so bad that I thought I might actually die from breathing in all that mold dust. I coughed up a nasty dark phlegm from my lungs for nearly a week. I’m lucky that it didn’t kill me.
Glad you are feeling better. I wondered about the lack of video, but totally respect the privacy and reason why. Stay safe and don't change, the world needs more family's like y'all.
Having had a bout of pancreatitis a couple of years ago, I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better after yours. Also with all you hear about kids nowadays, it’s so encouraging to see Onyx out there helping you and his granddad in those bins. It goes without saying but take care of yourself and your family and keep doing good.
Glad to see you back in action Zach. Pancreatitis almost got me killed as a child. Spent 6 weeks in hospital, nourished by infusions. Had to take enzyme pills for 2 years after the recovery. Glad is was a rather short episode for you. Stay safe!
A battery powered leaf blower would change your life. We had bins that had seed beans that could not have any previous crop contamination. It really helped get every last bit off the floor.
A worker at Rahr Malting fell into the grain bin when I was a kid. He suffocated to death. Around that time, I worked on the building's windows with my dad. I saw the large bottom gravity feeding bins where the accident happened. Scary stuff!
Hope you had a blessed anniversary. This is from 3 John 1:2 ESV - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Blessings.
Thank you for your safety talk about grain bins. They are not to play in. One of my uncles did not realize that getting in a grain bin would be the end of his farming days. He had an aneurysm and he was found at the top trying to shovel the "top" grain in a wooden granary. . . . There are other true stories involving children. Their father was even present. It involved canola. They suffocated before their dad could get to them. . . . By the way, pancreatitis is serious, as you know. We have some sad stories in our church involving the pancreas. We can learn from some experiences and go on or we can pretend that it only affects others. . . . 🤔
Love that you are helping to bring awareness about grain bin saftery . I lost my brother in a grain bin accident. I'm glad you had a tshirt in my size , I'm a little big ...lol.
Oh sweety I suffer with server pancreatitis and tumours on it . There is no pain like it . Mine is so bad I now have gastro paresis which means my gut can’t empty. I have a son 32 and natural child birth is nothing in comparison . Take it easy sweetheart and let your body heal. I realise life still goes on and work is constant for you but honestly long term just go easy on your body . Much love from Sydney Australia xoxox
Zach, I'm happy to hear you pointed out ( threshold ). to inform the general public that farmers use pesticides wisely as spraying is sometimes not needed. This is why they ( scout ) crops and fields for any potential weed, insect and soil problems. As you were doing at start of video.👍
I ran commercial grain elevators for years. Couple suggestions….spray outside weeds around the bins keeps bugs/rodents away. Grab some diatomaceous earth and spread that in the bottom of the bin when your done, quick and cheap way to keep the bottoms insect free and little dryer. Air monitor on your person when you go in for obvious reasons. Anytime you go into a bing you need a person watching you at the door with a cell phone in case something happens.
That all looks so familiar. The equipment is bigger, the bins are fancier, but that is all so familiar to when Dad and I were farming. And I sure remember cleaning out grain bins. We didn't have sweep augers in those days so it was a lot of shoveling into the dangerous end of an auger. I miss a lot of things about farming but not that. I didn't take over the place when Dad retired. The numbers just didn't work out. My parents made a good living on the place all their lives but a farm that was descent sized in the 60's was getting to look pretty small by the mid 80's. I'm not complaining, I've had a good career as an engineer. Mom and Dad are both gone now but I still have the farm and spend time here whenever I can. In fact I'm at the farm right now, sitting at the desk Dad made, enjoying another quiet evening. A car went by about an hour ago, that's what we call rush hour here ;)
Nothing wrong with taking a day and just clearing up tasks that pile up. I just feel better getting 'em done and out of the way. Otherwise, they niggle at me. Glad to hear you're recovering; Kids look good, too. Glad to see the harvest looking healthy. We're dealing with drought down here and a lot of places haven't even planted this year at all.
That's awesome that you'll be racing in Bristol. You gotta make sure you scream he'll yeah brother when you take off along with lots of bald Eagles when you pass everyone. I'll be rooting you on from SWFL.
Pancreatitis is no joke . I had a dose of it in 2019 along with infected gall bladder and nearly died when gall bladder burst . Doing fine now . Glad you are , too.
Funny thing is when corn prices are high, you want to save every kernel.... when corn prices are low, you want to save every kernel. Love the T-shirts and the campaign for grain bin safety. Also, it's amazing how much the crops change when you only release 1 video every couple weeks 😀. I'm sure you've been busy. Glad to see you don't have any more damage than you've already had this year so far. Cheers to a bumper crop despite a horrible start

Nice shoes. Been wearing the torch 3s and 4s for years
@@Chris-eh6rt good point. Our city code is Within 24” of the ceiling. Which is wrong in my opinion. Should be 24” from the floor
Glad to hear your joining Cleetus's race, on one of the last races people were dropping your name a lot. You will have a good time, check out his previous races it gets crazy! Stay healthy!
Me I was one of those people
That's good news for me. Two awesome guy's with totally different interests/lives coming together for some fun
Some people say farmers and doctors make to much money , I think you guys deserve every penny you get .🥳
Hopefully the collaboration with Cleetus helps you get to a million. Millennium Farmer is loved on his channel. The number of folks asking for you to race was huge!
I was one of those folks.
3 generations working shoulder to shoulder- these are the shoulders that built America!
Puts a tear in my eye! 3 generations of farmers getting what needs to be done! Done! Excellent job men
I saw that too. World needs more of that
I agree 100% ! My dad's been gone 5 yes now but I always remember those times especially when my son was younger he spent a lot of time with Grandpa!
Love it. Cleaning bins was one of my summer jobs as a teenager. Didn't always like the work much then, but it's one of many great memories on the farm looking back on it. Priceless.

three generations working together, that's got to make your you proud!
I get taking the effort to make the yard and equipment clean. Doesn't make any money but helps take pride in the work you do.
Was very excited when Cleetus announced you in the Freedom 500!! Hope you get the W!
Good to see Onyx getting involved more with the farm.
I liked seeing the three different generations shoveling out the bin

i about spit out my coffee when I heard you say inflation is "only" about 8%!!! That level is historically huge, not "only"!!!
Good ole Runnings in Benson. Remember going there with my grandpa and grandma as a kid picking up miscellaneous things. They used to live in Clontarf.
Grain bin safety is truly life and death. Central Illinois lost an outstanding young husband / father / pillar of the community.
I work at our local CO-OP. I am a Agronomy worker. But just like a farm, we help out every department. All of our bins have the concaved floors. Makes cleaning faster but it's a pain to walk in.
Hello from a farmer in Norway 👍👍

I get so much satisfaction out of bushogging. I love doing it.
Good luck racing Onix, and just send it!! 🏁🇺🇸
I love cletus's channel it's awesome to hear I'll be racing with him
Happy Anniversary to the both of you!
When Cleetus announced you, I audibly let out a Hell Yeah, and cheered. So bring home the checkered flag.

Get a sprayer Drone for the Aphids. Much more reasonabke than the Crop Dusters. Hire a pilot if needed before you can get licensed yourself. 4:50
It's about time, you're gonna fall in love with the crown vic!
He's back...it's been a while!
Sorry to hear about your medical situation, glad you recovered quickly.
Three generations working together !
God Bless.
Excited that your finally doing a race with Cleetus!
Man I love cleaning bins. We only have one but we harvest wheat so it’s a lot more fun to clean!!
Glad you are feeling better. I wondered about the lack of video, but totally respect the privacy and reason why. Stay safe and don't change, the world needs more family's like y'all.
Pretty cool seeing three generations working side by side . I have great memories working and playing with grandpa and dad
Never thought id live in a world where the millennial farmer and Brian deegan would be making content together
So excited that you will be racing at the Bristol 1000 with Cleetus!!
Seeing you mow weeds above your head motivated me to mow my yard. Thanks
You need one of those silo vacs , seems like they work super nice and cut all the dust out of the equation.
I always catch demo Matt when he races in it now I got two TH-camrs I like in it.
Cleaning out bins didn’t look like a fun job but you have that on a farm An happy anniversary
Good to see the boy doing some physical labor around the farm. Hopefully he gets the farming bug!!

Love to you and your family.
Getting closer to Anna riding in the tractor!
$5.39 per gallon of diesel - We pay $8.20 per gallon here in Denmark - A month back it was around $10 per gallon.
I wish we could get by with $5-$6 :)

Hope you feel better Zack. Regain your health
My OCD triggered when you were "done" mowing but I saw you didn't mow between the trees! :o
That was so cool to watch, seeing three generations of farmers working together
