Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

My heart breaks for the Sharkey family. There is nothing worse than losing your child. Thanks for sharing this.
I enjoy seeing you and your Dad working together need more of it
I lost my son in march of this year 37 years old he was such a blessing to us, and to lose him was the most painful thing i have ever still goin through it, I know he is with the lord but i miss him so much this family needs tons of prayer. i have a good family that have supported my wife and i and friends they need everything they can get for support. my prayers are with this family .
Heartbroken over the loss of another fine farm kid. Loved what you said there. Ditto and then some...
Prayers for the Sharkey family.
Never forget America First is the name of the game God bless our farmers love your videos
Glad to see progress is being made on the repairs upgrades. My prayers to Eian's family and friends. Life is precious. Thank you for the ending and remembering him.
"Gad"?
🤔
Many prayers for the family who has lost a loved one. Stay safe.
Many thanks for sharing your life. We all share our sympathies and prayers to the Sharkey Family.
“Luckily we had a bin go down so we got a nice pad to put fuel tanks on..” Bahahahahaha…the self deprecation and ability to make light of unfortunate situations is appreciated more than you know. God bless farmers!
If you put all of that diesel on one of the bin pads and it leaks on the pad does that mean that it ruins the pad for future use for keeping grain on?
@@JeepWranglerIslander nope
Zach now that you can put your tanks on cement is great but don't you have to have a bladder to catch Incase you develop a leak in the tanks. That's what we had to do was to put up a bladder around our tanks Incase they developed a leak. Did you find anyone to talk to about your old gas pump that you want to get restored.
We have a guy in town who is very well known around the country and he has I believe 8-10 yards now where you can get truck parts for your truck and if they don't have it they will get you one. The old man who just turned 90 has built a truck museum in our town of Sanborn Iowa at the intersection of hwy 18 and hwy 59 and the museum is a block and a half long by 2 blocks wide and he has made a upstairs to the building and has vehicles in the upstairs of the building and in the museum he has a collection of old gas pumps with globes on the pumps and he might be able to help you out his name is John Vander Haag I think his middle initial is C his sons middle initial is M. Zach if you have a rainy day you and your dad and Onyx should come down and tour the museum and possibly make a movie out of it and put on your channel. We are 30 miles south of Worthington MN on hwy 59
Probably the best statement I’ve heard in a long time. Lol
The loss of any child is terrible beyond words. May you find peace...
Our deepest condolences to the Sharkey family. God bless.
PLEASE SHOW us your parents landscaping project etc. also, sit down with your dad and answer the questions from the history interview with him, would love to meet your mother ! Great people, great family, you are very blesst!
Prayers for all during this difficult time. Such a nice thing to do to honor the memory of this child and at the same time to get a bunch of unknown people praying for this dear family. God bless their family and yours. Peace.
Prayers to the family and God's blessings and peace and strength to go thru hardest thing on their lives.
Awesome tribute!
@@isaackvasager9957 God did help this precious child ... He gave this child the gift of eternal life, no more of the suffering or pain that we know so welll in this broken world.
@@isaackvasager9957 I think TH-cam is not the platform for such a deep conversation.

Can’t begin to imagine losing a child. Praying God eases the Sharkey family’s grief. Deepest sympathies.
I lost my oldest son (30) in a car accident 11 years ago. This happened a week after they found out they were having their first child. You are correct Chrissy. There is NOTHING more painful in life whether it a young child or an adult child. It's a physical pain to the core of your being, and an and amputation of part of us. Prayers of comfort, peace and understanding for the entire family and friends. He is in the loving arms of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. ✝🛐
@@gtbproductions1 my prayers for your on your loss .. i realise its been 11 yrs but still losing a love one hurts so much. i pray the lord has comforted you in this time .. my prayers for the sharki family on there loss. may the peace of god flow through you and all your family in this trying time.. we never know when the good lord calls us home... be at peace always and god bless.
@@christopherdoff-sotta4441 Thank you so much Christopher. 11 years still feels like yesterday. God is good. I will be with my son again in Heaven, but...the loss of the time together that has been lost, seeing him as a father... Not a day goes by I don't think of him.
@@gtbproductions1 I’m so sorry about losing your son. I have an only son, our miracle child. Doctors didn’t think it was possible & none of the treatments worked. He truly is a gift from God & losing him would destroy me.
@@gtbproductions1 thank you . I can relate in a way .. in 2006 I lost my dad.. for almost 10 yrs we hadn't spoke a word. Oh I would see him. Usually he was out at our cattle farm doing something with my brothers kids. But I had messed up a few times in my life and him being a lawyer I was being somewhat a embarrassment. Also I had a short military career and had come home.. well a few things did go right for me and I returned to the military but to dad it wasn't good enough. The times rolled by and when I wanted to talk he always figured I wanted something from him. Sadly in 06 he was hit by a car and the extent of the injuries were severe. 1 it cost him his left leg. My dad was a fisherman a hunter an very avid outdoorsman . Also the injury really messed his lungs up. I saw dad maybe 3 times while in the hospital every time it was like I didn't exist in his eyes. Or I was wanting something. And that wasn't it. See the mitary means a great deal to me and I spent 17 yrs doing something I loved and I thought to share it with him. Sadly dad didn't want nothing to do with me. I know he loved me but I didn't get to see him when he finally passed away. I carry alot of grief of that whole situation. But I have never stopped loving my dad even if he's gone. It's hard sometimes. Because I think of dad almost every day. I hear his voice in my sleep and it hurts sometimes.. I wish he could of seen me in my Army uniform. I'm sorry for the SOB story. But I know how you feel about a loss of someone so dear. No matter how long ago it is.... thank you for replying and I hope God blesses you always.
Creeping up to 1 million! Excited for you guys and for the puppers ride!
yes
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Eians.
Godspeed, thoughts and prayers.
Hopefully Jim was able to get his place repaired after those storms.
Put a timelapse camera on the new building. High from Northern Ireland 🤟
That satisfying feeling when the hose goes onto the valve, quickly followed by the realisation that you have forgot to put the hose clip on first
Excited for the coming videos showing the building process.
Can’t wait to see your yard after it’s all done! Sorry for what you lost though!
Thoughts and prayers to Rob and family
That new building will be awfully nice. A man can never have too much roof!
5:20 smoking my best cigar..."I love it when a plan comes together."
Prayers for your friends loss of family. New construction is looking great. God makes everything better.
Great video Zach. Look forward to more updates.
Coming together Zach. I can
relate to your dad, he's a good
man. Going to have a dam nice
setup when you are done.
Prayers for the family
5:37 yes it was, it went perfect and without yelling and throwing things. It was satisfying.
Things are looking good. Hopefully you guys have a good harvest.
It's coming along nicely 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad things are coming along Zach! Keep up the awesome videos! Good luck this year!
I'm happy to see that you guys are getting things back up after that storm
Idk Zach fuel next to grain bins, all it takes is a spark in grain dust to wreck alot of stuff. With fuel being next to it, might rupture and catch fire.
I used to live in devils lake!
That’s a pretty cool little town
Prayers for Rob and family
Looking really good!!!
In the 1970’s a tornado went through a field of clover, lifted up over the barns and dropped down into a field on the other side of the barns. My dad, brother and I were in that barn and I remember the roar that lasted about 30 seconds.
To the insurance adjusters, that auger was brand new barly used and the best piece of equipment we ever owned
Just hope your tax assessor hasn't had a career change!
"barly"?
🤔
I love it when a plan comes together.
Look forward to seeing the construction 👍
Prayers for the family of Eian .
Can’t wait to see your new building!
Well done you put lots of effort into this
Great video 👍 👍 We just need more of them. 👍👍
Don't forget the extra outlets for the battery maintainers 😊
Well congratulations brother on getting a slot in Bristol, love watching the interaction between you and your pops. Our heart and prayers go out to Rob and Emily father watch over Eian.
Glad to see the yard starting to come back together.
Thanks for the video!
Prayers for God's strength and comfort in this time of need 🙏
Hope It all goes well.
I can't wait to see the new shed
great video Zach. Thank you
prayers for the family
Glad to see you all coming back strong! Bless you!
That auger isn't in bad shape.. it should buff out !!🤣🤣
Cottonwood...arrgghh! My property is loaded with them, and in the spring it looks like winter. Plus, they are the last to get their leaves, and the first to lose them. Just trash trees.
Hey Zach, when assembling the hose. If you spray your favorite penetrating oil on the inside of the hose and coat the barb with it also, the hose slides together just as easy. If you only lube one side or the other, they’ll fight you going on. I assemble a lot of 2” and 3” hoses working at the local co-op
Suggestion: consider 4ft. roof overhang, to better protect the walls and to keep water away from your new shred. I also like an 8/12 pitch roof, better snow flow off the roof.
looking good zach.
"That wasn't very exciting" Hey, the buildup had me thrilled
I’m from about 15 miles from the Sharkey family. So sad to love a young boy like that. Thoughts to them.
everything in life is important, but not always exciting. eating and sleeping are at the top of da list🍉 thanks for letting us stop by 👋
Zach i build trusses for a living and the size of those are huge. I cant wait to see them go up.
Also you can put the hose in boiling water for a few minutes to aid installing it on the valve. It will evenly heat it up and use dish soap for lube.
I've seen the same thing done by heating used oil in an old crock pot. Have to watch the temp close though or it can get the pipe too hot. Water is usually all you need for the pipe Zach is using here.
Great content this is very interesting hope you post more of the rebuild.
I don't know what goes into a podcast but can you guys please make off the husk a bi weekly thing? It's so good
That Shepherd will freak out in the cab!!🐕
I use boiling water when we put hoses on barbs. Never had much luck with the heat gun. Looking like progress.
I'm not a huge cottonwood fan myself. Did you know Bald Cypress trees grow amazingly well in Iowa?
Thanks
