    I never understand having the inreach mounted on your bike, it's for emergencies. If you go down and are separated from your bike and hurt yourself you want that thing on your body.

    Nice bike, how much does a 2017 used ktm 1090 cost now

    You sure added a lot of "must haves" to a near-perfect bike, yet you didn't add cruise control? I can do without the lights and the fuel range seems good so I'll do away with the weight of the Rotopax. If I can't plan to stop for fuel every 200 miles I shouldn't be operating a motorcycle. Getting off the seat every few hours is priceless!!! The heated grips are pretty cool tying them into the existing menus for setup.

    $20 Tusk grip heaters controlled through bikes cpu. Let's see a how-to on that

  • @stewartmcintyre4431
    @stewartmcintyre4431 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    No cruise control? And no Exhaust slip on!

    How does the high fender act at higher speeds (hiway)?

    • @johnnypowell1213
      @johnnypowell1213 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stephen Sherwin the high fender does have some vibration at high speed however, I'll take it as opposed to mud locking up the front wheel.

      Thanks for the reply. I love the look but end up doing a fair bit of street riding so was wondering if it is worth it.

      You can always get special mounting brackets for the low fender that raise it slightly.

    Definitely shouldn't use those metal leg-breaker panniers off-road.

      I’ve used my SW Motech Trax Adventure offroad for two years without incident. I also sometimes use Mosko bags too. I don’t see any safety difference based on my experiences, you’d be incredibly unlucky, or unskilled, to suffer a serious injury from a good set of hard luggage

      @@ronanrogers4127 I like the look of the Mosko Moto bags on these KTMs.

    Looks better with the lower fender in the thumbnail pic. I understand you have to throw all of the accessories you possibly can on it but it looks cluttered and tacky.

    • @johnnypowell1213
      @johnnypowell1213 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Captndarty or he doesn't want mud locking up the front wheel

    • @Captndarty

      Johnny Powell get a fender riser kit from toura-tech or an EXC then

    • @markb1511
      @markb1511 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends where you ride. You can get away with the low fender almost all the time, but if it's really muddy where you typically ride you wanna get the low fender raised slightly, or go with the high fender if that's the look you prefer.

    im having a hard time choosing between the 690 r and the 1090 R...

    • @markb1511
      @markb1511 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you ride trails and woods 90% of the time go with 690. If you want to ride street more than just going to/from trails, or take passengers, or want to do travelling on roads, and can handle a heavy bike like 1090 on trails, go with that one.

      m.l.d. Thanks for sharing your experience I appreciate it! I just need to go ride both I think and make a decision.
