Latifah Yulia you can always convert it. heres the recipe with measurements by weight. 125 g cake/pastry flour 200 g granulated sugar 8 large room temp egg whites 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 1/10 tsp salt 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 60 g powdered sugar (its not necessary to sift. we're not measuring it by volume. powdered sugar also dissolves easily into the egg whites) whipped cream n berried to serve

"never grease the pan". i once argued with my mom when making chocolate angel cake (not with your recipee at that.time). she blamed me for not greasing the pan with butter and flour (so the cake got burned in the sides). now she's passed away and seeing this video reminds me of her. thank.you anna for bringin such beautiful memory.

Try an angel food cake with chocolate whip cream frosting. I place the whipping cream in a double broiler and add grated chocolate bars to your liking. When melted and completely incorporated pour in a bowl and cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Whip a s normal to stiff peaks and frost cake. I know this sound unlikely but its actually really good.

On cake mix boxes, it usually says to lower the temperature by 25C when using darker pans. Should we also adjust this way when following your recipes? All my pans are darker, which is why I'm asking and the last recipe came out denser than expected.

this recipe hasn't been tested with a substitute. If you replace the flour you also need to replace the protein and structure that it adds to the final product.

You could try to use fresh fruit and sprinkle the fruit with a tablespoon of the flour of the recipe, then you incorporate the fruit after you are done incorporsting the other dry ingredients to the batter, I don't know if all types of fruit would act the same way in an Angel Food Cake batter. I haven't tried it myself, but you can try the method i suggested and see how it does. I think i will have to try it myself one day, because now i am curious, lol.

akramCED there are sugar substitutes that work in baking. I use stevia. It's right along side the sugar in the baking aisle.

Try replacing 1/2 of the flour with cocoa powder. It won't come out dark chocolate but it should work

Angel food cake is quite sweet, but adding a tablespoon or 2 of lemon juice with the vanilla really balances the sweetness
