Dude this will have to blow up one day. I love watching these videos. I really enjoy seeing people Clean up, fix, and rgh Xbox’s and you do all of that AND make it ASMR! 😂
Since the OG Zephyr motherboard that came in the Halo 3 edition was serviced by Microsoft in 2010, it will be very reliable since the defective GPU was repaired
I turned this on and then went to go tidy stuff, which was kinda silly because these videos are kinda quiet. However, my cat very much seemed to enjoy watching it, and when I was done tidying, I enjoyed watching this video too :)
No way I got recommended this video after doing the exact same thing, got a Halo 3 console for wicked cheap. Only difference is both boards are thankfully working. Swapped the jasper I already had into the Halo box and we're rollin. Just missing the Halo 3 HDD enclosure.
Cool video man. My first Xbox 360 got the RROD because my little brother moved it and the video cable came slightly unplugged, but at the time we didn't know that was what caused it. My older brother and I were so mad we banned him from playing when we got a new Xbox.
Have an XBox that was made before the launch in 2005, it has the 3 RROD. Just bought a Halo 3 XBox off eBay, also serviced in 2010, same overheating problem, just put on new thermal compound and fixed.
great video. the cardboard isn't needed for the hard drive since the hard drive will be screwed down. May want to remove the cardboard so the hard drive air flow is not blocked. Dont want all that hard work to go to waste.
So good. Wish I could solder well. I've custom painted our 360 (Zephyr) in a nice candy pink (and the controllers!). I'd love to cut out the disc noise. Also love to know is anyone has had any luck/advantage from some 4cm noctua fans. Love it
@@RestorationRelaxation they have more static pressure I'm sure than the vanilla ones. The challenge would be mounting them to ensure you get a tight seal and that all that pressure is pulling air from heatsink rather than the sides

I can't tell you how many times I've punched a 360 apart. Not from anger or mis play or anything. The tabs that's are vertical can just be thumped out of its click-in tab. Hey Restoration, is the OG Halo 3 console reliable? I mean without swapping it out for a Jasper motherboard. I managed to get a brand new one but I'm not sure it's reliable to use
got given a elite 360 for free as it was dead-dead an i bought a white core one for a tenner that only had a sticky drive, cleaned it up an poped the elite case on it, even put tipex in the lettering to make it look like it was ment to be there, looked great when done, until sombodys kid fed it pepsi :(

Toluelene for cleaning the heatsink. On a tissue and a few seconds later - clean as a whistle.

I wanted to scrub the plastic bits so I removed the bit of metal shielding attached to it. They melt a bit of plastic over it to hold it in place
Did you noticed, the halo 3 shell plastic is ticker compared to regular x360 shell.
I dont know why but orange clock cable from slim packet is long enough for phats maybe it has switched in factory
Maybe!
