@@JohnSmith-sm7ez The data do not tell everything. China is very big and the health resource are not homogeneous distributed. The chinese hospitals are very effective, so even with low doctor/citizen ratio people don't need to wait month long to see the doctor or for a check like Ultrasound, MRT etc.
The hospital in this video is really new and modern. But even the old hospitals are digitalized, so they work much effective than their colleges in US.

Wow, a general visit at $12 is excellent. A general visit, then who cares if its first or 144th ranked health care system, it’s a general visit.
We saw what they did when Covid first hit, they built a 4000 bed hospital and never got to use all the bed. At the time, here in California, we had bodies stacked up all over hallways.
So long as the sicken ones get to see a doctor in time, who cares at patient/doctor ratio?
Besides, according to this girl, not just a general doctor visit, everything is relatively inexpensive. That’s everything.

One of the most competitive factors of chinese big hospitals is the efficiency. My husband wanted to do a Xray for his spine in Canada Montreal. He waited more than 6 month.(go to private clinic still needs 4 weeks.) He went to Guangzhou China hospital. It took him 3 hours from taking the Xray, getting the picture and consulting doctor. He now waits for going back to china to do a full body check up.

This is why China developed their own MRI to cut the cost. The size of China population simply more economical to have their own technology. But that is not what the west want. Sabrina, thank you so much for spreading truth about China and the love & respect they have for all people. I’m Chinese born and raised in the Netherlands and it hurts me that people here believe the lies about China that are told by the Western media. Even a lot of immigrated Chinese here, what hurts me even more. Why they want to believe all the lies while at the same time they say they love Chinese in the Netherlands? Why don’t they bother to do some research on the internet? Truth is out there and if you’re able to believe it, it’s easy to find the truth. I’m thankful for you and all the other good hearted people who really want to strive for a better world by making these videos. Sending you much love and appreciation 💖💖💖

Sounds like a really efficient medical system. Thanks for sharing. People in Britain and Canada would brag they would not have had to pay a cent for the same appointment....but in reality they are paying a lot more in taxes to fund a less efficient and inflated healthcare system. Same appointment would have included a 4 hour wait in the west as an example. The doctor would prescribe unnecessary expensive medication because of bonuses and incentives from big Pharma. They would also require the patient to return several times to increase their quota and income. No cost to the patient for each visit but heavy cost to taxpayera.

In fact, the hospital in the video is one of the best hospitals in China (in terms of doctor quality, environmental conditions, and medical facilities), so her registration fee is so expensive (50 yuan). I guess she met a medical professor; For reference, the price for ordinary people to register in a large hospital is generally 5-12 yuan, and most of the cost of drugs and treatment can be paid through (national) medical insurance. If you have additional commercial medical insurance, the amount of your out-of-pocket expenses will also be reimbursed on a pro-rata basis.
Generally speaking, I think China's medical security system still has problems with imperfect coverage of drugs and people, and needs continuous optimization and reform. After all, as a universal public service that needs to cover a huge population with different symptoms and income groups, it still leaves many people facing a shortage of doctors and more expensive treatments. After all, we still have many poor people who need help.

That's why the US' GDP is so high, because everything is so expensive. That's why I call the US' economy fake.

My goodness... from the outside it looks like a top tier university campus and the inside looks like a shopping mall.
It makes me depressed comparing it to the state of my countrys hospitals.

Last time I needed to see a dermatoligist in the usa I had to wait 3 months. Here in Cambodia and also in Thailand you can just go to a clinic or hospital and see a doctor without an appointment. If you have tests done you will get the results the same day.

@6:37, your total cost is about $85RMB, which is less than the $20USD copay of all healthcare insurance in USA. And you received medical attention within one hour -- awesome!

Paid themselves without CN insurance? Well were there a WL I think they would still get an advantage in the queue. Surgery faster, earn faster, no battle with the insurance institutes about what they refuse to pay.

I was in Qingdao, China. I fell down the stairs and my ankle hurt. I went to the hospital for examination. I spent 12 RMB for the registration fee. After the examination, the doctor said that I had no problems and returned the 12 RMB registration fee to me.😂

For a Chinese local with social security medical coverage it is even cheaper or free. No out of pocket expenses for small consultations like this.

I decided to move because I wanted to learn about China. In university, I wrote a paper on China’s economic growth, and I wanted to see for myself. I only intended on spending a year, but the pandemic happened, and things changed.

I'm Chinese and I live in Shanghai. I also quite enjoy my life and feel very very lucky to be borned and raised in this country. The healthcare is even more affordable with the super affordable insurance, and I go to hospital where is very close to my apt multiple times a year just to make sure my body is 100% fit.

I had pain on my left shoulder during a business travel in NC, USA in 2007. My colleague took me to a local medical care center. A doctor talked to me nicely. She said there must be something wrong with my left shoulder wich such pain. Unfortunately, she could not do anything because it was not her specialized field and their center did not have Xray equipments. She suggested me either to go to a local hosipital specialized in this field or to see a Chinese doctor when I go back to China after the business trip. After all, the pain would not kill me. Later, I received a bill of USD 800...
