I'm an Australian who travelled many times to America for work over many years. Like Cyrus I also found it amazing how "America centric" people are there, how ignorant they about other countries and hard it is to find news there on the rest of the world. It seems ironic to me that a nation whose government is so involved and focused on other countries around the world has a population at home with no interest in those same places.
Wow. It must be nice to originate from a country with all those virtues. Oh, let's overlook that silly moment when the Aussie government used Covid to strip away all your personal freedoms and jailed people walking alone on a beach without wearing a mask, etc. I would rather be "ignorant" than sitting is a quarantine jail for months.
I can confirm the truth of your statement. I've also traveled extensively as a pilot, Because of the woeful MSM in the US, Americans generally have a very limited and warped understanding of international affairs. Put another way. Through the governments efforts and little exposure to the truth they have been brainwashed to believe in US exceptionalism and everyone else the enemy or uneducated. The average Iranian has a far greater understanding of international affairs than most American who'd be hard pressed to find Singapore on a map
I live in Spain and I pay for private health care. It's $67 per month at 36 years old. I have had an MRI, 10 doctor visits and mild surgery this year and it didn't cost me a penny more. Also waiting times were non existent. USA has a lot of problems.
It's honestly ridiculous how this country is, especially when it comes to being a mother. You can't take off work to be a mother, then you're shunned from society because you're not going back to work. Look, either raise my child or pay my Bills, cause I'm not going to kill myself to do both. That's why I chose not having children because it's far less stressful via trying to be pregnant, birthing a baby and nursing a baby while working all at the same time. I've even known women who has C-sections and had to go back to work two days later.
Oh, for my hernia surgery I waited 2 months. My MIL had a heart attack in November and the appointment for her specialist was scheduled in January. My MIL could have had another heart attack during that time and died.
My Dad lives in Thailand and he paid a whopping $75 for x-rays and a doctor visit out of pocket. Meanwhile here in the states I pay under $400 for healthcare, $40 for copay upfront just to see the doctor, then $75 per each x-ray, lab and anything else which will be billed to me. Many of us in the US stay sick with ailments and growths on us because we just can't afford the doctor Bills.
Starting from three months ago I didn't have my period for nearly 8 weeks, wasn't pregnant and wasn't starting menopause. Didn't see a doctor because we couldn't afford the other Bill. That's sad when something is physically wrong with you and you can't afford to see a doctor.
@@christins.1481that is crazy. In Sweden it’s your right by law that you can take 120 working days off per year if your child is sick until the child is the day before 12y.. employers are not allowed to discriminate you in any way due to that nor question it. There is a special fund set aside for that, paying you 80% of your salary during all those 120days. Sure nobody takes all those days every year. But technically you could. Sure after few days they do need a Dr. to sign off the child’s illness. Also even the father/parent that didn’t give birth to the child has the right to 10days off work paid for at 80% straight after birth. Also during 400days or so you can split it however you want between you two just to take days off to spend with your child, also paid for 80%. But I think the father has to at least take 90days/90days are reserved for at least one parent and cannot be transferred to the other (so only if he doesn’t want it at all). Also written into the law the worker is not allowed to be discriminated in any way for taking them days out nor tried to be forced to work anyways or questioned in any way about it. It’s also kinda crazy with these laws that most swedes have very low birth rates anyways haha
A lot of Americans live in silo. They still think they are the best country in the world. And yet other countries are shaking their head when they hear what is happening in USA nowadays.
Destroying others is in the American DNA, the sooner China learns that, the better. Keep saying "we can be friends and work out our differences" will eventually be the death of China.
Those in charge don't care about moving forward. They only care for money. And competition is intolerable if you want to increase your market share and profit.
I grew up in South Korea as a military kid. I came to the U.S. for college and was so confused and overwhelmed by all the differences I saw. In the small scale it can be humorous, but on the large scale I see pain, division, and anger.
I left the USA for Sweden 40 years ago and have no thought of returning. Healthcare here is free and high quality. Education is free, including university education. There is paternity leave which makes it possible to be with children in there first years of life. I have had one operation and studied at the university 2 times. These were free to me. This is a social system which improves the lives of people, and that is what one should look for from a government. It doesn't mean that the government decides everything about your life--on the contrary, it makes it possible to pursue the dreams that you have. It does not decide what those dreams are. I believe this increases human freedom.
If Americans travelled more, or even just had access to more truthful media of the outside world, they will be able to better reflect on the problems of their own society and find solutions to fix them, instead of focusing on trivial differences and shifting blame to faceless “others”.
@@weizhang2834 it’s a matter of priority and attitude dictated by culture. Based on the demographics of exchange students and backpackers travelling around the world on shoestring budgets, travelling to other countries is just culturally not a priority for Americans.
Sadly Canada is following the US footsteps. Our media is basically getting fed from the US media. Politicians, so many parties that is just a waste of time to even look at them. Our infrustructure is old and outdated. Homelessness, drugs and guns are are getting out of control.
I came back to Canada after 12 years in China and I am still in shock after 5 years at how backward Canada is in comparison. For me, it is like time travel to 1970 in Canada after being in China. Yes, Canada is totally in the bag with the US and the world has known it for a long time.
Same in Australia. Our media takes its cue from Washington, often against the interests of the Australian people, and our govt is held hostage by the media. They only let you have “freedom of speech” when they are sure they control your “freedom of thought”
I lived in Europe for almost 20 years and Asia for 3 years when I returned in 2015 I did not recognize America. Returning was a shocking change. thanks for sharing.
did watch the whole thing. just find a short one to reply. the problem is not media, politician.... it is the very system called democracy which is the source of all evil and the most belligerent system mankind ever had. you can almost trace almost every conflicts around the world back to united states. united states also tried it best again and again to stir up a war in Taiwan but failed again and again. this is the only exception that American evil scheme does not work because it deals with CHINA.
All true. I left the states in 2001. Bush V Gore broke me, you know? As a guide who’s been to more countries around the world than most, I wholeheartedly agree that people are the same everywhere. @@truebluekit Agreed... If Cyrus let his kids in China without experiencing America, the kids will not understand/appreciate China. And this actually true for any people in any countries. @@rynodivino I think it is fair to say that the general American public is more oblivious to other countries, but when it comes to the government that manipulates finance, oil, or warfares, there could be some truth there. This is true. Being a citizen of The Netherlands and having lived in Asia...taking care of the person next to you or a fellow countrymen through taxes gives the country a harmony and a chance...to stay healthy and grow in the broadest sense of the word.
Cyrus, you could have mentioned the Military Industrial Complex. It is estimated that the US has killed 20 million foreigners since WW2 including 2 million North Koreans, 3 million Vietnamese, 1.5 million Iraqi's and 0.5 million Afghani's. Iraq was invaded based on lies about Weapons of Mass destruction but the US talks to others about a "rules based" international order but the rules do not apply to itself. The US has 140 overseas bases, spends more on warfare than the next 14 countries combined and has invaded 48 countries since WW2. Fortunately, the rest of the world is waking up and rejecting domination and control by the US.
Cyrus, is it possible that you can add Chinese subtitles in your program, so that I can suggest your video to my non-English speakers friends in Taiwan? 😅
I don't think translating Cyrus will slow down the tsunami of Chinese wanting to move to America. Why do you think the world wants to move to America and not China? Unlike America, the CCP puts up a barbed wire wall at its southern border with Vietnam to keep IN their citizens. I wonder why?

The American Bubble is reminiscent of the late Qing Dynasty Bubble where people within the last dynasty had this bubble that nothing happening outside China mattered. Unlike the Japanese that went on with their modernization with the Meiji Restoration, the Qing Dynasty's modernization efforts were unfocused, halting and often self defeating and in the end retreat back even further into their bubble. Until the west start craving up the country, selling drugs to the people and wage war on China, humiliating them for a hundred years while Japan went on to defeat Russia at Tsushima. Now America is like the end of the Qing Dynasty, fiercely insular, highly arrogant and refuse to learn from the outside world or its own mistakes, preferring the comfort of ideological dogma verged on religiousity. America is on the decline. I only hope it won't drag the rest of the world down into hell with it.

As a Scot who has lived in the continent of Europe for about 30 years and just returned to the UK, I can see many of the same problems you have described happening in the UK. In my opinion it all started in the 1980s with Regan and Thatcher and the destruction of domestic manufacturing in favour of service industries.
Hi Alistair. But this is normal. Once upon a time the ship building industry of Britain went to Japan because they did it cheaper. Then Japan suffered the same fate when it moved to other asian countries. It's life. Whomever builds it cheaper and pays their employees the least gets the contract. Same with the garment/fabric industries.
Check out the state of Britain before Thatcher got it. There's a lot more to this than left right politics. Ideas are the biggest issue, look at the current craziness with identity politics. Individual greed plays a role too.
Many Chinese tend to be optimistic and look forward to a bright future ahead. However, many Westerners are increasingly pessimistic and tend to have a gloomy outlook of the future.

Great video. Not being an American, I'm so glad that there's an American who feels the same way about the US as me. I used to look up to the US with a lot of respect and admiration. I have come across numerous Americans who have left a deep impression on me through their magnanimity, generosity, selflessness and extraordinary kindness. I don't know when it started but over time, the US as a nation appeared to have changed imperceptibly for the worse, finally culminating in a nation that is almost beyond recognition. Cyrus has so accurately and succinctly listed all the major factors. The chief culprits no doubt are the American politicians, the big corporates and the media. In cahoots with each other, they have hijacked the entire nation to enrich themselves at the expense of the wellbeing and the long term interests of the people. It is no wonder that while the US continues to pride itself on being the beacon of liberal democracy, the rest of the world looks on it as a hypocritical kleptocracy.
Americans (those who still have a brain left) know that the US is now a corrupt system beyond repair. Maybe only a huge civil struggle, could even be a war, could save the US. When you have election fraud, that's tantamount to a coup.
Well said. I immigrated the States from Latin America in 1980, the U.S.A that I met in 1980 was a completely different country in almost everything. The U.S.A has changed for the worst, big decline.

I feel there is a silent majority in the middle that is struggling and crying for some true leaders to unite the country with honesty, kindness, and unselfishness. However, the election system is so out of date and not able to keep up with the need of the people, society and future.
No political systems are perfect. Ultimately the leaders and elites always take decisions tilting for their own personal benefits. A Constitutional Republic is one kind of the different forms of Democracy. But it`s interesting that you don`t want to see the US be called a democracy, why is that?

The West has had too much time dominating countries in war, they think that everybody's focus is on them that they can't fathom anyone else having difference of opinion. Like Independence from The West. Which is no different to what the USA did to free themselves from the British. Why is decolonization bad all of a sudden when the USA were once a colony of Britain?
Agreed. In addition, some people in developing countries also suffer from a _"colonial mentality",_ worshiping Anglo-Saxon culture while harboring a disdain for any _"non-white"_ culture (including their own). _Decolonization of the mind_ is needed to heal the mental damage inflicted by the colonizer on the minds of the colonised. Only then can people truly be free of their colonial history.

The IQ in the US is declining, depression is higher than it has ever been, the lifespan is decreasing, etc. We are not on a good path. Good luck.
And it works no matter from what country you are. Travelling and especially staying for longer periods in other countries is the way to understand a lot of important things. One of them Cyrus has said: we are the same. An average person from any country in the world has more in common with an average person from any other country, rather than with politicians of their own country. People need to unite based on their interests and goals, not nationalities and citizenships.
Cyrus I really want to thank you for all the videos and to share the real truth about China and the US. In America most people are brainwashed and have a very negative view of all the countries in Asia. So for you to make videos and share your experiences and knowledge to the people here in the US is a very positive influence. Thank you so much for your work. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family. I wish you and your family the best of everything in life.
@Lo Phiz 😆 no that's not true my friend. They do celebrate Christmas in China too. Just for the record there many different religions in China. Many people think religion is ban in China but that's not true that's what the US want us to believe. Most chinese are Buddhist.
@tougemike1557 I "think" (may need correcting). Religion is only banned in the government therefore being a government official inside the Chinese Congress one needs to be atheist.
@tougemike1557 haha many might be an understatement 😅 🤣 😂 If I were to guess, those officals in the Chinese Congress are also religious but practice in their own time.
Gotta Google those other countries because 95 percent of Americans can't afford to travel abroad. And what are you gonna get from Google? I would love to see other places, but I live in a place that is based on profiting, not helping, so everything is ridiculously expensive. I have to feed my family.
Embrace the similarities, understand the differences... hell... embrace, celebrate, protect the differences also. I feel that is what China does for its minority groups and even to some other countries.
Ever heard of the Uighur population in China and how the CCP is trying to ruin them? So much for embracing and protecting differences. It's slavery and concentration camps for them.
I can't agree more with you Cyrus, when I traveled for my vacation every year (I can't say many countries but several), the more I traveled the more I feel that people in the world are similar, no matter which race or culture we are, we all want to work hard to have a better job, better earnings and have a better life for our family! When we travel more then we realize that we know too little about this world, it's good to explore and get more information from different channels, not only one or two of the major Medias. The Earth is round, don't think about the place we live is the center of the world, we need to expect with each other, expect the cultures that are different from ours. As you said, every country has its positive and negative things.
The difference in not what people want. The difference is the political system that will allow it to be expressed. A tyrannical, murderous dictatorship is not interested in the personal fulfilment of its citizens. Period. As messy as democracy is, it allows most people living under it to pursue what they desire, not what the state demands.
@@lophiz1945 unfortunately "democracy" doesn't stop a dictatorship there's been a few dictators elected in democratic states, it is the system of electing that can be the problem, the citizens having a vote is just a face if the electoral system is controlled by only a few who decide who the citizens can vote for
As was commented before, use the system long enough, and people will learn to hack it for their personal advantage. You can have 2 groups of actors seemingly fighting but they are paid by the same masters with no mandate limits.
First time seeing one of your videos. I agree with most that you said. Like you, I went abroad in 2007. I was fed up with corporate America and so many other things here. Cyrus brings up many excellent points. Number 6 stands out to me the most. Like Cyrus, I'm a Canadian and moved to Indonesia in 2017. I didn't realize until I moved abroad, how the world actually functions and that not everything is as it seemed when I was in Canada. I got to learn about the world heck, I also learned about the USA, sorry to say Cyrus, but it turns out the USA is one of the evilest countries in the world, that aside, this is probably one of my favourite Cyrus videos, because the points about (if possible) travel abroad and put ourselves in another countries perspective, and materialistic goods is not everything. Here in Indonesia, people here have enough it's al they need. They aren't attacked to commercial goods and so for. Back then in Canada, I always have to have nice things to impress people I always have to dress to impress, now I don't live that mindset, and it also changed me.

I heard people talking about how America is the best country in the world yet they never travelled outside of the country some never ventured outside of their own state. In the 1990’s I wanted to move to the US and probably would have but my relatives told me the reality of life in the US and the more I travelled the more I saw it for myself. I totally agree with Cyrus insights, as I have seen much of the world myself. My only exception is when he brought up politicians and sighted Trump specifically. I'm not a Trump fan, but he exposed alot of corruption in the political system. He doesn't have clean hands either, but both democrats and Republican politicians are serving themselves to maintain the grift at the country's expense.
One of the best videos about China and US. I constantly feel shocked about how little people here in the states know concerning other nations. Too full of themselves basically comical but scary at the same time
I just spoke with a group of Westerners at a dinner table two days ago. A guy from Poland said that China has perfected its tools of suppression and control of its people. A lady said that she's visited China some 10 years ago. I asked her what she thought about it. Her reply was: I saw police carried guns at the airport! Another guy from New York replied: Our police carry guns here too! It dawned on me that the American lady who visited China was looking at China through colored glasses: The Chinese police carrying guns is a symbol of suppression, but the US police carrying guns is a sign of protection? Subsequently, I tried to explain that the Chinese Communist Party has evolved and its not the same as the old one during Mao's era. The US lady shot me another question: but can the people own personal properties like a house?
Most Western people, and AMericans in particular, have been propagandized so much that they're not even capable of considering others as fellow human beings with their own needs and interests. They are united in parroting condemnation and dehumanizing others, but if you look closer they also hate eachother. Each unto himself and God help us all. These people are beyond redemption and enlightenment.
OMG where had she been in the last 20 years. Of course Chinese had been and continue to own their properties including Royce Rolls, Ferrari, Lamborghini and more.😉😂😂
I too have decided to permanently leave the United States. My reasoning is twofold. Ethically speaking, I can no longer live in a country that is constantly waging war against other nations. A war mongering country, America has been at peace only 17 years since its existence. That's because war is profitable for both politicians and corporations that manufacture armaments. Lastly, with inflation running rampant, retirees with little savings and living off modest social security payments can no longer afford to remain in America. To keep from living in the streets due to obscene rents, they have no choice but to emigrate abroad to those lands that offer cheaper living. And this alone, in and of itself, constitutes a national disgrace. It represents a stark fact that the United States cares very little about its aging population. You're damned if you are not wealthy.

My response to some of the complaints above: Kids are a luxury, not a necessity so yeah, they pay out of the nose for daycare etc. Your kids need to get a smaller home with a lower mortgage payment and move out of a high cost of living area. Believe it or not having a masters degree, and marrying educated people doesn't guarantee comfort or great paying jobs, moreover this feeling of being entitled to 'the good life' is just a false notion that at the end of the day you personally are wrestling with. The conflict in essence is that what you see going on is in stark contrast to these notions of guaranteed prosperity you hold so dear. Tell the kids to spend less, save, and lower their fixed costs. Yes, the wokeness level has gone totally insane. But I am totally shocked that the US does not mandate maternity leave. I had always thought it's a given in all developed and developing countries, the only difference being the duration.

I love this!! I love this!! Love my country but at 8 or 9yrs old, I opened my older cousins Spanish book and learned there was another world out there. I started learning different languages and cultures around the world. I knew about everything you mentioned in this video. It’s sad that our country is like this. I don’t have an American materialistic mindset. I keep my phone for at least 4-5 years at a time, my kids get two gifts for Christmas. We travel and it’s always hard to get back on the return plane but I’m hoping we can become digital nomads in 2024.
I spent my early life travelling to all Western countries like UK, US, Australia, Europe, etc. I was well travelled. Then I decided to go to China. Initially, 20 years ago, it was developing. But since 10 years ago I think they have superseded the west in every way. Come and see it.
EVERY way? How about morality?? Or action on climate change? Or nuclear disarmament? Their intention of stealing/invading Taiwan? The annexation and militarization of the South China Sea? I believe you are thinking purely in economic terms am I right?
I have not been abroad. But I agree with you. I am old enough to remember that it was truly rare to see TV drug ads 20 years ago. Now it is all ask your doctor. What is funny is the side effects often sound worse than the disease they are trying to fix. They put it in tiny print on the screen and speak super quick about the possible side effects of the drug they are advertising. I wonder how many rich people talk to their doctor about an ad they saw on TV. It must be working because over time there seems to be more of them. And yes health care costs keep rising faster than inflation and basic health care quality not so much. There is money for Ukraine and the MIC but not for crumbling infrastructure. The airports in parts of the US, now, are comparable to the 3rd World. I do believe that nevermind, comparing them to Europe, Japan, Singapore or China.
One of your best Cyrus! Your analysis cut to the bone of the matter. It’s not easy to criticise your own country. I know this from an oversea Chinese perspective in China now.
Actually, it is very, very easy to criticize America. We have enshrined criticism as our God given right, because "Freedom Of Speech" is our very first right, in the American Bill of Rights, in our constitution. The CCP does not allow fee speech and you know that.
@@lophiz1945 as soon as you mention CCP I know your type. It’s CPC. What I meant was not if you can publicly criticise your government. You can do that in US but it won’t do a thing to change its policy.

Born in Denmark in the shadow of WWII, 1946, I began traveling four days after turning 18. I hitchhiked to the Oracle in Delphi, went to Plaka on the Acropolis cliff and from there to Istanbul. returned to Denmark to finish high school. Four days after graduation I had sold all of my library and other belongings and was heading back to Istanbul to go through the Middle East and Afghanistan (the best) aiming at India and ran straight into the 1965 war between India and Pakistan, started by the latter. Bombing is the absolute terror, something the US excells in. Europe is also awful. Asia is best and will lead in the future.
What is so awful over here in Europe? I think a lot of things are really arranged well. We have very low violence rates, women, gays etc are all finding a place where you can live. We have a problem here in that racism rears its ugly head again. That is sad and the focus on Muslims (but it seems to subside). I think it depends on what you value.
Asia has it's moments of absolute terror like the division of India and Pakistan and their three wars, China's Cultural Revolution, it's brutal invasion of Tibet and subjugation of minorities, Burma's genocide of their Muslim minority, the war between Sri Lanka and the Tamils, the genocide of Cambodia, etc. Asia is on a downward drift due to massive pollution, rapidly aging societies and the lack of funding to deal with climate change.
Very interesting life you've had sir. I myself am a danish born of moroccan descend and even though Im sad about the increasing xenophobia in the country, especially against muslims, I still think Denmark in other realms (social, labors right, social mobility, etc) is far better than United States. It seems however even those strong values of the scandinavian model is leaving slowly for the more americanized version of brutal capitalism. Krydser fingre for fremtiden 🤞

WE LIVED IN COSTA RICA FOR 5 YEARS during the mid-2000's and returned to the USA in 2009. We were STUNNED at how the nation had DENIGRATED in almost every way ! The young people all spoke "ghetto", the citizenry was bitterly divided, our "leaders" did not / or would not LEAD - only wrangle over politics, and our industrial base was forever GONE. America's epitaph will say: "A ONCE-GREAT NATION, WHICH SURRENDERED TO ITS ENEMIES WITHOUT A FIGHT - AND DIED WITH A WHIMPER."
"... our "leaders" did not / or would not LEAD - only wrangle over politics, ,,," Agree. Although we have a president, we haven't had a leader with VISION for long time, may be since 1960's.

Respect for you Cyrus. Very good conclusion at the end of this video - we are all alike and wanting the same thing - a better life for those we love, sense of achievement and the feeling that we did something right.
Thanks Cyrus, you are right. More people are similar than they are different. Unfortunately someone I know had a bad experience in a company event where American colleagues were mocking Asian colleagues for wearing masks. This is where American media encourages such behaviours and give Americans an impression that they are above everyone else...
Actually, it is very hypocritical to criticise others for wearing masks if one really believes in upholding individual rights. Just as you have a right NOT to wear a mask because you don’t want to, I have a right to wear one if I want to. Why should your choice be respected, but mine be attacked? So I find this anti-mask attitude of American society extremely hypocritical. What happened to respecting and protecting individual rights/choices? Oh I see, you have to conform with the preferences of the majority, and don’t have a right to be different. How different is that from life in the much maligned communist society?

God bless you! I love Americans as a Chinese Canadian but I feel both media from US and Canada are disgusting! We need to promote peace, cooperation, spread love and not hate! We live in a multipolar world and it’s not govern or dictated by one government, country, people or race. We are all different, we live in a different world or political system so don’t try to make other countries to live under our system, or vice versa. Besides… no governments are perfect. I stand with China 🇨🇳 and I truly believe they are doing a much better job than Canada and US combine. We should reflect on our own poor policy and governments rather than pointing fingers at others.
To be fair, China is less diverse than America (and therefore less divisions based on superficial qualities), not to mention China is not a beacon of accepting other races, such as the ongoing Uyghur Genocide that is happening in China Not to say China is all bad, nor that the USA is perfect, but there is just more nuance
When old men wants power and money, what do you expect? Same everywhere. There is no free world now. The rich gets richer, we the poor gets poorer. That is how they control. New world order.
Agree on the healthcare industry. I work on the finance side of healthcare. My heart cries for patients. It is an industry indeed. You can have healthcare coverage but if it is not premium coverage, and if you visit the doctor more than once (after your annual physical), be prepared to shell out hundreds or even thousand dollars. Thats just the start. Your other option is Medicaid which ironically requires that your annual income is really dirt poor to qualify.
My last 5 minutes emergency room visit with MRI cost me $1900 and the original bill was $3900. The insurance company will not cover it since the deductible was not met. They did negotiate with the hospital and brough down to $1900. Still, it doesn't make sense. Why so expensive?
Thank you, Cyrus, for this incredible video on what's wrong in the States. You hit the nail in the head. You are a true patriot. Will morally support you to run for US president even I am a Canadian citizen. Love from Vancouver.
American exceptionalism is one of the major problems. When you feel you are exceptional, you feel you are above all others. You can no longer see or hear what others have to say, and everything you do is always right. But this kind of mentality blinds you to your own problems and short-comings, eventually exacerbating and compounding all the issue that are never solved. It prevents you from seeing other possibilities or learning from others. This exceptionalism mentality is why the US always talks down to others, and tells other countries what they can and can't do. The US feels that their system is the best and all others must change to suit themselves. The so-called "Universal Values". As the wise say: "Hubris is the most expensive thing a person can ever own".
That’s how the American govt gets away with so much intervention in other countries, because most of it is hidden from their own people
They're lulled by all those hollywood blockbuster movies.
because it is the duty of the [world policemen].
As a Chinese I can't understand why the US would want to destroy all its competitors. It's the competition that keep you moving forward, isn't it?
Destroying others is in the American DNA, the sooner China learns that, the better. Keep saying "we can be friends and work out our differences" will eventually be the death of China.
No, hold the power is the end goal, you need to improve to get the power and keep it, but if you are declining, you use everything to stop it.

This is a social system which improves the lives of people, and that is what one should look for from a government. The American Bubble is reminiscent of the late Qing Dynasty Bubble where people within the last dynasty had this bubble that nothing happening outside China mattered.

Well said! As an American, I once respected this country a lot. Now, I'm looking for ways to escape this greedy country. It's just a matter of when.
@@vuetube4558I wish my husband and I could move to another country, too. But we're in our 60s and we both have health problems. Plus, though we both always worked, we never made much money so being accepted by another country when we are old, lower income and unhealthy is pretty far-fetched.
I'm from Europe. I think so too.
First slavery, then taking advantage of other countries, finally taking advantage of their fellow citizens through commercial practices. So "some true leaders to unite" are truly needed.

Absolutely correct.

The US is a Constitutional Republic not a Democracy.
A Constitutional Republic is one kind of the different forms of Democracy. But it`s interesting that you don`t want to see the US be called a democracy, why is that?
You are correct, it's never meant to be a democracy it's baked into the constitution they didn't even like the term democracy.

It's not enough to realise that we all have the same needs and goals. The awareness that the west is not fundamental better than the rest is essential and necessary. The greatest pitfall is this exceptionalism.
Well said

We voted for some of the most ignorant politicians worldwide. They are not capable of looking at a budget, or anything else, and allocating funds appropriately. The IQ in the US is declining, depression is higher than it has ever been, the lifespan is decreasing, etc. We are not on a good path. Good luck.
Very perceptive comments by Cyrus. Travelling and living overseas definitely is an education in itself and the cure for insularity and ignorance.
You mean insanity?
Totally agree
I think he had to come back to America to celebrate Christmas. In China, Christianity and all the other religions are banned. FYI.
@Hong Luong yea that's true but many Chinese has religious background. But you're right.
@tougemike1557 haha many might be an understatement 😅 🤣 😂
If I were to guess, those officals in the Chinese Congress are also religious but practice in their own time.
Spot on, 古语有说“求同存异,和而不同”, 中国文化博大精深

@@MarkYeung1 Of course, but the similarity is that they are parts of the same country.
You are joking obviously

From 2007 to 2013, I lived in Korea and adapted well. Back in the 1980s, I lived in England and Greece while serving in the military. I have been back in America for ten years and think about leaving almost every day. Blessings to everyone who reads this.

Yes, no question we need to travel more to learn about the world.

I went to Camp America in 1992 and although I had been to America before I found it crazy when I saw the American bubble at work. I heard people talking about how America is the best country in the world yet they never travelled outside of the country some never ventured outside of their own state.
In the 1990’s I wanted to move to the US and probably would have but my relatives told me the reality of life in the US and the more I travelled the more I saw it for myself. I love visiting the US but true happiness is not found by chasing the American dream.
It is very different visiting the US then living there

I have gotten to be a senior in this country and it's the biggest regret of my life . Over the years I've seen the decline turning USA into a dystopia which is my dilemma and grief because my young family are here starting their lives with an infant, struggling financially . My brothers and I made sure our children are provided with superior education , equipped with ADVANCED degrees, married professionals with Masters , PhD degrees as well yet why are they living a hand to mouth existence? Only paid pittance (for example by HEALTHCARE CORPS) despite exceptional qualifications, by these well known trillion $$$$$ corporations which DON'T PAY TAXES. The mortgage they pay drains their salaries to the bottom , daycare costs leave them scraping the dredge of what's left.
YET BIG CORPS ARE GIVEN LOANS BY FEDERAL BANK INTEREST FREE, even NEGATIVE INTEREST meaning the FEDERAL BANK will reward them more taxpayers money for obtaining those loans . WTF. ! ! ! SEVERAL big banks lately still bankrupted taxpayers' depositors money which they loan to SCAMMERS big businessmen like TRUMP , WYNN and more because Trump and the Republicans , SEC 's BANKING DEREGULATIONS. " Should we go or should we stay " is the refrain that keeps playing in our minds. Next door is very welcoming with generous offers . All degree holders and professionals should make a run for it for greener pastures ( USA has become a MIRE/POVERTY TRAP ) for hardworking , honest, intellectuals) and cause a brain drain, but what's the possibility of these CRIMINAL THIEVING CORPORATIONS to move next door to run their nefarious operations there , infect and spread their business cancer and corruptions ( into political systems and government) as they have done already in other countries?
The USA has begun the world economic control , amassing guns, WMDs, nuclear warheads, Biowarfare capabilities - COVID was a dry run escape goating China which USA hates extremely because of the lying media and Murdoch. It's getting UGLIER here , worst are yet to come.
🎯🎯🎯🎯IMO the “New American Dream” just might be to get out of here before the wheels come all the way off. My response to some of the complaints above:
Kids are a luxury, not a necessity so yeah, they pay out of the nose for daycare etc.

The greater common good does not exist in capitalism, so no one has any obligation to take care for someone else.

Take good care,, enjoy

In short, too much power in 'Big' corporates. It can only be bad for the people.
Thanks Cyrus, you are right. More people are similar than they are different. Unfortunately someone I know had a bad experience in a company event where American colleagues were mocking Asian colleagues for wearing masks. This is where American media encourages such behaviours and give Americans an impression that they are above everyone else...
You should have told them, "Covid deaths: 1,100,000 (with about 3,000 still dying every week to this day) vs 5,229. This will shut them up.
Americans are very humble people in general. If you are looking for people that will look you down then you must go to France, UK , Israel and Japan
Cyrus Janssen has a good heart! Thank you for bringing back the humanity in people!
I appluad you for putting this together! With everything going on right now, the best decision to be on any creative man's heart is having a profitable investment strategy.
Even with the current dip in the market I'm still glad can smile back at my portfolio of $32,500 built from my weekly trade, all thanks to my advisor fergus Waylen
I'm honestly surprised that this name is being mentioned here, I stumbled upon one of his clients testimony last two months in CNBC world news and decided to try him out...I'm Expecting my third cashout in 2days
I have also been trading with him and the profits are secured and over a 100% return on investment directly sent to your wallet.
Lack of trade discipline is the primary reason for in day trade losses. It is estimated that nearly 80-85% of day traders end up losing money in the stock market
@maharasujp8903 Please how can I contact Mr fergus ? I really like what he has done for you, and I also want to benefit from it.
wow that's very nice. I just sent him a message. I would love to try out this trending algorithmic copy trading i've been hearing about. Thanks for the info
How do you stand with China while working and living in Canadian society?
To be fair, China is less diverse than America (and therefore less divisions based on superficial qualities), not to mention China is not a beacon of accepting other races, such as the ongoing Uyghur Genocide that is happening in China
Not to say China is all bad, nor that the USA is perfect, but there is just more nuance
Excellent comments!
All the best for you and your family!
Wish you all a comfortable and joyful Christmas and all the best for the coming 2023!
My last 5 minutes emergency room visit with MRI cost me $1900 and the original bill was $3900. The insurance company will not cover it since the deductible was not met. They did negotiate with the hospital and brough down to $1900. Still, it doesn't make sense. Why so expensive?
Insanity how much money hospitals and insurance companies make
All spots on, bravo! Great video, thanks so much for sharing Cyrus!
Thank you, Cyrus, for this incredible video on what's wrong in the States. You hit the nail in the head. You are a true patriot. Will morally support you to run for US president even I am a Canadian citizen. Love from Vancouver.
Love the YVR! Thank you so much
American exceptionalism is one of the major problems.
