The supermarket herbs sometimes last if you repot them straight away into a larger opt with some fresh compost. Enjoy your frugal food and have a good weekend.
Chives and Rosemary are the best for that. I’ve got a supermarket rosemary bush that’s a least 6 years old. Basil is only an annual anyway. Thyme I’ve kept going for 2 summers. Supermarket sage I’ve not had much luck with.
We have been to Iceland today and I picked up a small chicken, lack of 4 sizzle steaks and lack of 5% minced beef in their 3 for £10 range. I came home and cooked two sizzle steaks with mashed potatoes and turnip fried onions and a gravy for our meal after meal I made a lasagne from scratch which will give us each four meals, roasted chicken in the AIRFRYER directed it bagged it up with a gravy for freezer another three meals each plus scraps for the cat carcass is in pressure cooker to make stock for chicken soup so that's 14 main parts of meal plus lot of chicken and rice soup for £10. The soup normally makes about 6 double portions so yes well pleased.
I’ve never had success keeping parsley going either. Sadly. However, basil is number one with me and the chives do seem to keep longer for me- I plant the chives out and they yield plenty more xx
Hi, Jill, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b Lots of great finds for you. The trunk of your car is perfect. Look at that river level 🫣 And more 10 Pence bargains 👍 I hope you have a great weekend
You are such an inspiration the way you don’t waste anything! Love it😊 Amazing bargains too. I reply the supermarket herbs straight away and they last months- especially the basil! I had an amazing crop of basil from March- September from just one little plant.
Can I recommend some reusable makeup remover wipes and a large bottle of micellar water? You use them once then throw them in the washing machine when you are doing a wash so that you can use them over and over again. Much cheaper and much better for the environment then the disposable makeup removers.
😊 Hi Jill, been away at Sydney Harbour for Australia Day. STINKING HOT so our ice cream melted in 1 minute. We were at the zoo near the chimpanzees when a 21 gun salute rang out across the harbour. They went ballistic, it was so funny. Then 9 jets did a fly over. One chimp was tight rope walking up high trying to catch the planes 😂😂 there were ships, helicopters and light shows/fireworks etc but we decided to eat in the hotel and watch from the window. Room service for one meal for 2 was $87. Then they charged $8 to deliver it. Then they charged 15% for holiday surcharge!!😮😮 so one meal was about the same as I spend in a week 😅😅 nice though. So I felt justified flogging all the tea and coffee satchels for my picnic stash. I was happy on check out as they gave me a $50 voucher, so meal became half price YAY!😂 Got to splurge sometimes. Nearly every guest at the hotel was American, seriously, rats leaving a sinking ship it seems.😊😊 Belinda.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time.. yes that’s why I live a frugal life. I save up so we have the funds to enjoy ourselves Belinda .. live your best life
Well done on your bargains! And getting the eggs! My sainsburys doesn't stock those anymore, and Morrisons near me has stopped stocking the Savers eggs ☹️. The cheapest eggs for me now are lidl white free range eggs, 99p for 6.
Great score at the grocery store.👍 I love the vert appetizing and inexpensive meals you put together. Your apples did great in your car.👍😀 Did you cook them? I buy store herbs, etc., dip them in root starter, plant them in dirt, and grow them. Done it with Rosemary, Basil, Peppermint, Oregano, and Parsley. Have a blessed weekend, my friend. 🤗🌺
we never get free range eggs that price in our sainsburys. Maybe its cheaper up north. Also I have never seen them mark down items that low whenever you go. The best I have found if I'm lucky is marked down to 25% of the original price. The problem with the supermarket herbs is that they put so many plants crammed into one pot so thin out and repot and they sometimes last. Well done for all your bargains.
I've repotted shop bought chives that have kept going for years in the garden but I've never had much luck with anything else. I think most of them are so pot bound by the time they're sold that they struggle to survive even with a lot of tlc.
Do u know, the old saying, if u peel the apple all in one go, like a spiral, then fling it over ur shoulder, the shape of a letter it makes means u will marry someone with that initial! 🤣🤔
And if you twist the stalk - one twist for each letter of the alphabet - that also tells you. Mind you, you’d have to go some to get down to W for William or Z for Zachary!

I’ll try that Pam 👌🙋♀️

Amazing! That’s very cheap. I always buy discounted food but here in my State I don’t get those prices.
By the way, I am a new subscriber from the US. I love your channel.
Thank you and welcome I post frugal living videos through the week and Sundays for more relaxing mindful ones 🌸

Great deals and your meals sound delicious
Plonk all the apple scraps in water and some sugar to make vinegar. Easy and it works xx
Great tip
Coffee and caramel chocolate biscuits - a combo from the Gods.

Yes JT I cooked the apples for the pudding, I’ve taken mint cuttings from store bought and grown them. Have a relaxing weekend 🙋♀️😁

Reduced meat can be frozen if you not going to consume it on the day.
Good tip 👍

Yes someone left a comment saying I should repot it.. I might try that . Take care 💐
Some great bargains and at a good price 👍
Thank you Sharon have a great weekend 🙋♀️

I’ve never heard that 😁

I've never had luck with parsley even in my garden.
Neither have I ! 😄
I haven’t seen white eggs for yonks! They seem quite peculiar now.
It will be interesting to see if they taste the same, 😁🙋♀️🌞
Do you not have a freezer?...just thought maybe you could buy more yellow sticker bargains.
