    I love crustless quiche but £6.50 at full price, needless to say a great for 10p. Take care Jill.

    Oh my goodness Jill, not much in £4.25 ready meal and no, I don’t think I’d pay £6.50 for quiche. Have a wonderful day 💗

    Could you tell me what time you visit tge supermarkets to get these fantastic bargains please Jill?

    • @BeFree-BeFrugal
      @BeFree-BeFrugal  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From reading the comments Claire, it depends on your local supermarket so it’s best to check your regular ones out at different times and talk to the staff but for reference:
      The first reductions are around lunchtime, then the second about 4-5pm.. third, around 7pm . My Sainsbury’s- the 10p reduction is after 8pm.. if there’s any left to be reduced. Although I’ve been to Aldi and got 75% off in mid afternoon

    Imagine the horror on people’s faces if they’d paid full price for that ready meal, it’s true what they say about a fool and his money! I think some of us have always been savvy shoppers, when my family were young we always had the cheaper cuts of meat, breast of lamb stuffed with sage and onion, thick pieces of braising steak cooked slowly the juices making rich gravy, I don’t eat meat anymore but when I did it’s was always so tasty and the smell of cooking it lingered for hours, lovely to see the gardens coming alive and the evening daylight lasting longer, spring is certainly creeping in.

      I remember too, but those cheaper cuts of meat aren’t cheap these days, take care 🌞

    Great bargains in your sainsbury's! Do you freeze all the ready meals that are close to expiry date?

    • @BeFree-BeFrugal
      @BeFree-BeFrugal  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I don’t have a freezer, so I eat them, might be 2 in a day …but for 10p I don’t mind eating the same thing twice

  • @cecilie4854
    @cecilie4854 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I’m not that good in English, but I will try to ask my question. As I can see there is a use by date. Do you eat it after that date? How do you manage to eat it before it goes bad?

    • @BeFree-BeFrugal
      @BeFree-BeFrugal  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I usually eat the ready meal that, or the next day, of course you have to use your own judgement, if any doubt I will throw it away.

    Nice score on the hair color.👍 That noodle meal was so skimpy. Not worth the 4.25. No wonder it was reduced to 10p. How did it taste? That's my favorite quiche so hope that was tasty.😋 We've had the longest cool/cold weather spell here in Florida. It started cooling in October, is warming a bit this week, then turning cold again next weekend. We're saving a lot on our electricity. 😀 Blessings.🤗🌱

      It tasted really good, a bit more of the pasta would have improved it, great that your saving on electricity..take care 👍🌞🙋‍♀️
