Do you find you’re losing time while moving opponent pieces? Or is it pretty much unnoticeable
Can you add a regular chess clock on the side, use it and see the time stands there? I think it would be great for competitors to use a regular chess clock so you do the actual gesture and look at time left in there, not on a screen that obviously players won’t have right next to them in a competition.
Can you do this in a stream?

Hey I have a question..during a pawn promotion how it will understand that in which piece I am promoting my pawn ?? I mean i can underpromote it to a knight also.. so will it realize that properly ??
I assume the pieces have an RFID chip so the board would read it and know what you chose.
Are the pieces tournament size? I know the board is but I don’t know if the pieces are.

Yeah, I mean I don't think this board would be ideal for bullet
It isn’t possible to play bullet with this board online. If it works as other e-boards, the lowest time control online would be 5-5. You can of course play bullet OTB and what is even better, the chess clock in the app can switch automatically after each move, i.e. you don’t have to press it!
The iChessOne also supports premoves, so you can make them as well, whether you're playing online or against the AI.
I don't think a time scramble would work too well on these of course. If you did encounter one, you could just grab the phone and use that for your moves I think.

Wow this is an amazing chess set! I would have to save up a years salary here in Africa to buy one but it is definitely worth it, I love the art/science/game of Chess even if I cannot get past 1200 ELO I am happy and that is what it is all about Chess = Happiness.

Looks really cool, but I would be nervous of two things:
1. Sliding pieces accidentally being registered as moves
2. Knocking pieces over being registered as moves
You have to be careful. And its for practice not competitive games anyway. It’s clearly a disadvantage to play a rated game against someone online while you have to physically move pieces twice
1. The board doesn't register sliding movements as moves, and you can even customize the sliding parameters to suit your preference (you can adjust the detection delay). There's also a "without auto-click" mode where you need to confirm your move by clicking on your phone screen.
2. Knocking pieces over won't be registered as moves.
And the timer easily could be on each side of this board with ancient tech. Kinda adds to my argument regarding timer relevance . Timer is contradictory to me.

It's interesting for one purpose: If you play somone face to face on a board and you want to quickly make notes on the game whitout losing time on writing down the moves. Other than that I don't think it would improve your chess skills better than playing online. Not usable for online Blitz or Bullet games.

It is all fun until you get low on time.
Where is the AI in this board? All I see is a Bluetooth board with LEDs.
IMHO, one could use this to cheat with and seem to be transparent at the same time.

My worry about projects/campaigns like this, ie put money upfront before it's released is, the business can find problems, ie making the amount needed, shipment etc etc, it's easy to make say 100 or so proto types, not so easy making hundreds of thousand of them, they could just pull the plug on it, go into administration and you have lost your money!
I would only buy one of these when it's officially released and you can regular buy them without any issues, yes it may cost you more money, but at least you have total peace of mind that you will actually get it!
At the moment it's still in development and no definite guarantee it will definitely be released atall?
I would advise against paying upfront to anyone to be honest, as it is a risk. And here we are 8 monthns after this video, and it's still not been released?? Still getting funding after 8 monthns though?

If it doesn't move the pieces, it's not much different than an actual board. It's also smaller than a tournament board. Sorry to be a critic, but this just seems unnecessary, as cool as it might be.
