Qué excelente trabajo me gusta lo admiro me gustaría saber qué tipo de madera utiliza y también Qué tipo de acabado es el que le dio qué es lo que le pasa para que quede con ese brillo
Ok thanks for the tip. I'll look and see if I can get some of that finish around here. I really do like the look of the wood grain. Nice job bud, can't wait to see what's next.
Mahoney''s Utility Finish would be perfect for the inside or outside of a honey pot because it's food safe. Here's a link if you're interested. www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/41/3880/Mahoneys-Finishes-Utility-Finish Please call us at 1-800-551-8876 if you need more assistance. Thanks.
Thank you for the info. I went with Tung oil on this one simply because another turner had used it on some honey pots in the past and I'm on a tight time limit. I will still get this product as well so I can see how it looks as well. I appreciate the response and the phone number.
We have the Laguna Revo 18|36 Wheel System attached to the 18|36 lathe in the video. We engage the wheel system when we need to move the lathe for different camera angles. If we don't disengage the wheels, you can easily see the lathe shake a bit while mounting chucks or turning. Just a simple mistake.
Now I understand... I was trying to figure out what wheel are they talking about... Nice lathe it would be so nice if Laguna made a bowl lathe like a 1620 version for those of us that have a small shop.
Love my Laguna Revo 1836 with the wheel system. I need to have all my tools and benches on wheels and the Laguna wheel system is well worth the price for me.
I must say I do like the music you used and the of course the turning
Very nice work with good instructions. I’m a beginner and I greatly appreciate it but I just watched.
I'm a beginner too. That's why I appreciate narration. Maybe next time.
Creative, beautiful and marvelous tool control! Thanks for sharing.

Oh to dream about having a lathe like that!
What grind do you use for your bowl gouge?
How fast were you turning that blank at the start and when you were making your finishing cuts?

I'm going to make a honey pot next but not sure what would be safe to seal the I side of the pot. Any advice on this? Thanks.

Curious ... why is the lathe wobbling around at 4:50 mark. I see it wobbling when mounting the chuck / platter ?
Good observation. Sometimes we forget to disengage the wheel system on the lathe and it'll wobble quite easily.
