What an awesome guest. I would give anything to run into this man on a lake and just watch. I learned alot and have 60 years of lake fishing 45 with a fly rod. I was so focused on what he was saying I forgot what day it is
Hi Charlie, Would you make a video on how to be more efficient in tying? I’m a year into tying and I am looking for ways to make my tying process more expedient. Little tips and tricks that show where you can speed up your process. I found you after a commercial fly-tier recommending your Basic Fly Tying book. I’ve made the switch to left handed tying but my process still seems slow. I guide and I need to be able to knock these things out faster. Thanks!
Again I agree with everything on this exciting Video. The one thing I know you got in your shop that you didn’t talk about with regards still water multi species multi season is the Rio Kahuna strike indicator. Thanks, because now I know there will be more fish for me to catch since everyone is not using it. I use three on my homemade leaders butt section, I spread them out….it is easier to see the take. Since I’m old, I need that extra visual. I get crappies when no one does. Nothing takes more subtle than a paper mouth. Again thanks for a great video and not mentioning the Rio Kahuna strike indicators. Oh, did I say the roll cast like a dream. They do.OK I don’t work for Rio!

Wow, that was a lot of good info. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video & information, never thought of a boobie fly interesting rig,1 question on indicators/bobers ever use a slip type or not ?
Love this guy 15 lb for trout ,I’ve being using 10 lb and yes sometimes it breaks , it’s time to increase my tippets
Any reason not to use a swivel above the 15 on the intermediate line
So spinney is no good right now from the bank? I wonder if antero is the same scenario.
The guy should write a book!
A pike episode with Barry Reynolds?!
Book deal?!?
Matt catch 2 ft long this is amazing

I know in lake current there's not one a bober I'm sure it works for him he's all over the place
Much of this applies to any stillwater with trout
