Hey guys! So, I wanted to recreate the original Ifukube theme structure from the Heisei Era, while adding some of the other iterations of the classic theme and the chanting that is associated with Godzilla in this particular movie. You'll see this towards the end, and I added it in order to solidify the King of the Monsters vibe in this suite. Also, the roar I added to the video at the beginning is inspired by cerberus144's video of the classic Ifukube theme which had the original roar at the start.

I don't care what anyone says, if you're a lifelong Godzilla movie fan then this is by far the best movie out of the Monsterverse films. You can tell heart and soul went into it just by the soundtrack alone.
Yeah I loved this movie a lot but there was quite a bit of corporate metiling involved which I can definitely forgive and look past and just enjoy it

@abdulsabri6551 Godzilla movies were never about the human characters anyway, they were more like set ups for the monster fights, kind of like a wrestling match.
As a Godzilla fan for 34 years now, since I was 3 and have seen all movies, King of the Monsters is for me the best Godzilla movie. I don't know what problem people have with it. I liked Minus One, but I feel like the only reason it gets praised so much is because people want to hate the Hollywood movies and do so simply out of spite. As much as I love Godzilla, I don't understand how it won the Oscar for VFX. King of the Monsters has better VFX.

Just got back from Minus One, and that has THE best use of Ikufube's music since the original. If you're a G Fan and you wanna get some full on spinetingling goosebumps, go see it in a cinema. There's about 30 seconds that will make it worthwhile even if you don't love the movie.

Even if snobs watch Minus One and nothing else, real fans know they’re both Godzilla, even if they might not like one or the other. The thing that brings the films together is the original music of Ikufube

I like to imagine the theme just follows him around. That's how you track Godzilla, you just have to match the audio waves from the song.
I can't believe the basic theme behind this is over 70 years old.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is very underrated. It definitely fixed the problems of Godzilla 2014. It had more Godzilla, better human characters, a human storyline that has more connection to Godzilla, more action, faster pacing, and a better soundtrack. It made more sense than its predecessor. It knew how to appeal fans of Godzilla.
It was a masterpiece, so much better than Endgame was. And then the creators shit all over the EXCELLENT world building and being faithful to the lore that the Mosnterverse was doing (the ONLY other cinematic universe that was doing it right at the time) by making Godzilla vs Kong.
@@Stingra87 How so? Mecha-Godzilla has been made by humans before. Granted the last time a Mecha-Godzilla had any connection to Ghidorah was it being reversed engineered from Mecha-Ghidorah but still. Kong and Godzilla did fight once before in 1962 and this is a more modern take that has the two fight over a misunderstanding on Kong's part. More of the story behind why Kong did what he did will be revealed later on.

I saw this movie with a friend who is a die-hard Godzilla fan, as soon as he heard the Akira Ifukube tune, I swear he was about to have a heart attack. It was hilarious. I had to stop him from getting up and screaming.

You are basically my three other friends who went to see the movie with me. We all watched it and I knew the most about Godzilla (including Mothra literally not knowing how to die). When this theme played I lost it, it was amazing and perfect. Also when Mothra died I almost started to laugh, just because I knew she wasn’t dead.

Godzilla may not be our traditional hero, but his actions often lead to our salvation, whether we realize it or not.
Godzilla's theme, in my mind, is one of the most legendary and epic themes for a main character. Or I guess in this case, *monster*

No, most of them haven't seen the old movies. This film was as much fan service as Avengers Endgame, but the fan base in North America for Godzlla isn't nearly as large, and the conventions of the kaiju genre aren't as familiar to them.

Yeah, she was great also. And they didn't do her justice at all. Just crushed by a big ice boulder if I'm not mistaken. At least Serizawa got a nobel, meaningful, and poetic death. Just a shame they killed off the only 2 good characters that they had though.

Had a really bad panic attack recently that felt borderline like a heart attack it was beating so fast and hurting. And eventually i hit a point where i told myself "what would godzilla do, godzilla doesn't take defeat and he always gets up no matter the challenge." It brought me to tears and i just heard this song playing in my head as i composed myself and came out of it. Even being fictional godzilla has real world effects, on me at least.
When he arose from the ocean, reborn and super charged, and this started playing, I can't tell you how many chills I had.
Imagine hearing this as the real Godzilla emerges from the sea to help Kong fight Mechagodzilla

I really hate that “humanity is a plague and I have/am the cure” stuff. Apart from always being copied from matrix, it gets really annoying and that lady character was really irritating. The other human characters where good tho.

Me too. This movie had the true essence of Godzilla in it, plus the remastered version of Godzilla's theme, nods or homages to the Hesei series and the director had us Godzilla fans in mind made this film much sweeter. The critics whine about lack of focus on the human characters and too much focus on the monsters, they obviously haven't seen a Godzilla film before and biased. They can suck it. This film kicked ass.

You know I still remember being a tiny child who loved dinosaurs. That was the age when I walked in on my uncle watching an uncut Japanese dubbed version of Godzilla vs King Ghidorah (1991). It was the greatest thing i had ever seen. From that day onward I was hooked. Before Super-Hero movies were actually good, my loyalty belonged to the King of the Monsters. And now that he's back? Endgame can suck my left fat one. Hail to the King! By now I have watched every single Godzilla film that has existed, even the bad ones. He was the King then, and he's still the King now.
