    I am the Queen of Benjamin Moore and absolutely will not paint with anything else. The maturation of color and the quality of what they do is superior.

    Benjamin Moore is without a doubt my favorite. BM has beautiful colors and the paint functions extremely well. It doesn't fade over the years the way some others do and it goes on the walls easily, no need for tons of coats. However it is a bit pricier than others so when trying to paint a big space sometimes I do Behr because its still a solidly good paint but much more affordable.

      Thank you for answering the question that seemed to be missed in this video. The reason to buy one paint company’s paint (ie. quality) over the others. I would have like to hear more about how the paints are different to determine which one to buy.

      I use Benjamin Moore. I think Behr is too 'watery' and not enough pigment. I needed 4 coats of a buttery-white to cover a pale lilac. Never again.

    Why does ben moore allow places to carry their paint when they dont really know about the different aspects of the paint or even carry updated paint chips. I went to ace and got a sample card. Long story short, their chip was so old, it looked completely different than the chip at a ben moore main store. Terrible

    Hi James, my family has a vacation home near the sea in Greece. It gets very humid and moist during the summer. Plus, we are only the once every year if we are lucky. I'm looking for the right gloss for the bathroom and bathroom ceiling? What's your recommendation? I'm having Aura bath and Spa shipped from Germany, since it's not available on Greek market. Coincidentally, Dulux is very widespread in Greece. AKZO NOBEL has a huge footprint. Are there any products that you could recommend for iron wrought (balcony), interior doors, etc.? Your insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Behr has the best quality and most useful samples but I gravitate toward the BM and SW colors more. I am currently looking for grays to paint my house interior and SW does not have samples because of the pandemic? or something, so I have to go to Lowes to get an HGTV SW sample and that paint sample is so cheap and only comes in Satin, when I am a flat and matte person. The BM samples are big and expensive and only come in eggshell. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So I have been in color sampling hell for awhile now.

    • @thepaintpeople
      @thepaintpeople  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry about that, but if you're really stuck, and don't mind paying a few bucks to avoid a costly mistake, you can look at sites like Samplize that will ship you samples made with real paint overnight. Something to consider.

    I have a problem that needs a solution. I painted the guest bedroom in a color match of farrow and ball’s Pink Ground. I bought a sample, along with other pink samples and tried it out on the wall first. So I painted the room and it turns out it doesn’t work because I have a sloped ceiling. I can’t paint just the walls because there is no sharp edge where the ceiling meets the wall. So pink ground went on the ceiling. The effect is that the paint color has been magnified. All that pink is bouncing off all the other surfaces and it makes the room feel claustrophobic. I don’t want to just repaint the room White. I’d like it to have a light pinky peach hue. But I can’t find a color to replace it with that has the right LRV. I’ve looked into French Macaron and French Manicure. I love these two colors but their LRVs are not a whole lot brighter. So what now? Do I paint a color on the lower third of the wall and white everywhere else? Just go back to white? Get a 75% solution? Any ideas?
