TeraDesk has as much Icon Management as Jinnee (and others), but it does not have much of a frontend to edit them, so all the "best stuff" is only configurable in the configuration file, and even then some options are not documented, you have to know they exist (or look at the appropriate section in the source that deals with load associations - there are 2 different sections in the config file) - It was because of seeing Jinnee on NAES that I started creating large 256 color icon resources for TeraDesk, and had to make reduced sets to run on actual hardware.
That sucks, I've checked and it's not being held for review. I'm still pretty new to this TH-cam stuff, but something similar happened on another video. In that case the viewer put the same comment on the blog page, not that I'm asking you to do that. But what I worked out from the comment was that he'd written a couple of sentences that contained words that I think triggered TH-cams rule checking. I think it thought he was talking about piracy. That's just a theory, but TH-cam is saying there are 9 comments on that video and i'm only seeing 5 plus two replies. Hopefully your's is sloshing around in the system and might show up soon
That transparency is a part of the AES (I believe), MyAES functionality added a few years ago, works for any "window" objust, but turned off by default. - If you are willing to help out with testing, I am sure Olivier would be willing to look at those icon render issues, as you can see from the video, that half rendered icon was under a dialog.
Jinnee never worked completely correctly with Mint iirc, with Magic though it was the best desktop around, my favourite desktop ever. I thought it was better than Windows and Mac desktops at the time. So sad the source code was lost.. :(
@@commodoreisnottheonlyfruit @welliben 's comment about not working under MiNT is related to path's, and IIRC using Kobold is a no-no, as certain operations can screw up the drive - If you want to know what the problem is, you should be able to find the answer by searching the MiNT Developers Mailing List for "Kobold" - My (rather poor) memory says it was a thread somewhere between 2009 & 2012
Another great clip. The new disk image seems to be missing on your page .
It’s there now. I was a little rushed yesterday. Hope you enjoy it

Do I recollect you saying you lost this config? Or was that someone else? I’d love to see a video or some screenshots of you have them.
I'm sure I left a fairly lengthy comment about MyAES and Jinnee compatibility... Seems to have gone missing 😢

I certainly would help out with testing.

I agree. I am going to do a video of Kinney , magic, kobold and possibly ash emailer in a separate series at some point.
