The reason I like this series so much is that it has reality television quality without the drama. Usually in a show like this there'd be a fuss about deadlines or some infighting or someone messing up really badly, but on here it's just people doing something that they do well in a really engaging and interesting way. Thank you for making something like this and not falling into the predecessor's poorly chosen methods.

They don't temper and harden the nails because they are being used to hit other, possibly harder objects, which could very possibly cause the nail to snap due to it's brittleness. This is also why some blacksmiths will not harden their striking anvils. A simple mishit (not that uncommon) will cause the steel to chip very easily and that is not a friendly sight to see. When something has that much energy, it does not heed to human flesh. "It is much easier to reforge a tool than to dig out a metal chip out of someone's leg" -Alex Steele.

I've been a HUGE Fallout fan since the original game, over 20 years and counting. Thank you for an awesome episode :) You all did an excellent job. The addition of the wrought iron nails gave the nail bat an extra nasty touch. And how do I get one of the Revolutionary Sabres? That would make an impressive addition to my collection.
Mad Gamer JW no, your point was that we can't complain that Jon was lazy since in fallout you wouldn't make it from scratch. My point is that Jon was lazy because for example Sam turned his own bat, and then forged his own nails, so making something entirely from scratch. Also, I would cut off the petty insults at the end of all of your comments, they just make you look insecure
What was he supposed to do? Forge his own hollow aluminium bat and cut out his own sawblades. I agree that his build looked easier that all the others, but he still put hard work into it.
Okay so when someone even forges the NAILS that they put through their self made bat it only highlights how lazy it seems to store buy basically everything you used. He didn't make the wire, he didn't make the bat he didn't make the sawblades he basically just IKEA'd his build. I have a lot of respect for these guys but i just feel like for Jon this was a misstep maybe a different build he could have shown more skill.
I'm learning so much from these guys just from watching them if only I had a metal shop though :\ lol welding is probably the most expensive type of craft
i would quite like to see one of the fallen relic swords or even croat's sword. btw i have just started playing and have not even heard of the swords u mentioned lol
A hand turned baseball bat with hand forged nails is the most hilariously unnecessary and over-complicated way to make a weapon that only exists out the necessity to use whatever happens to be lying around, LOL. A thing that should only need a regular ol' hammer to construct (or even a heavy rock), and Sam manages to use a wood lathe with chisels and sandpaper, a forge with all of it's tongs and hammers, a furnace, an anvil, a table vice, a blowtorch, and a power hammer to make it. All of that needless labor, contrasted with the dirt simple project of attaching saw blades and barb wire to a metal bat, makes for a very odd episode. I'm a bit bewildered why they chose to do the simplest Fallout weapons, rather than something that would really show off their creativity and talent, like the Shishkebab.
so all the other Dudes from that team can be in a video. and they chose simple projects to either be manageable for them or because out of episode length and filming time.
These challenge episodes are fun because you get to see so many different ways of doing things. We saw basic sword-forging from the saber, we saw old style torch cutting and hand filing from the machete, we saw your average fallout style Mcguyverism with the saw-bat, and you can't say watching him use the wood-lathe to make a bat wasn't cool. That's basically the appeal of this show in the end. Not what they make... so much as how they make it.
Haven't you noticed that in most of their other builds about two or more of them is required to finish it on time? Yes they each can make something fancier but that would take them a longer time to complete seeing as they wouldn't have any help from the others.
+Zephmans Because with all the other amazing weapons on the show, Jane's would be the most boring and plain. why do Jane's when you could do literally any other weapon?

Matt was the only dude who did the weapons according to the rules.
Sam also followed the rules as woodturning has been around for a long time
Or one that's really fallout so many cool weapons and they chose basic ones
well power hammers were around during the 17th century so idk im fairly sure they all did follow the rules

You guys are thinking small, REINHARDTS ROCKET HAMMER!
+MyOzx This needs to happen now
+MyOzx I want that too!! But its gonna be hard to wield for normal human right??
+MyOzx and its hard to find the cosplayer for the end of the video tho LOL
"He may have won the coin toss; but I won the coin toss" .....
I loove that Jon twisted the barbed wire like it was safety wire on a race motorcycle, his build was so badass, absolutely brutal.
+Mad Gamer JW you wouldn't build a baseball bat with nails in from scratch either, but they still did
Mad Gamer JW no, your point was that we can't complain that Jon was lazy since in fallout you wouldn't make it from scratch.
I kinda agree that he could have at least heat cut saw blades, that was pretty disappointing...
I just realized Sam's shirt says "Save an anvil; Bang a blacksmith" and I love it
How about genji's sword from overwatch?
no
You just don't like over watch
+ItsRed overwatch*
no, no, no, you don't get it!
Make The Deathclaw Gauntlet from Fallout 4
There is one problem with that idea, they don’t have a death claw hand. And if the6 made one it would look right.
ZNAproductions already did! Check out his channel he makes awesome stuff!
Allen Walker's sword from D.Gray Man
I made the Earl's Sword from a giant foam block, and from the same block we cut off a piece for my friend's Allen sword. It was an awesome cosplay.
^^This comment needs more likes.
Can I just point out real quick that no one actually used the kremvh's tooth correctly. Everyone held the thing backwards
it worked didnt it
No, everyone held it right
Do you know what kremvh's tooth looks like? The point goes at the front
that's what I was thinking! Get out of my head!
I'm learning so much from these guys just from watching them if only I had a metal shop though :\ lol welding is probably the most expensive type of craft
what do you guys do with all of these swords?
look badass
They sell them to the highest bidder
That One 0rio oh thanks for telling
But where tho
The mystical Battery unicorn www.swordandstone.com/shop/weapons/man-at-arms
When it says they aren't for sale it means they were already sold =p
for a guy who has never used a oxyfuel cutting torch that cut was pretty good
That Sacrificial Blade was the coolest thing I've seen on this channel! lol
How about Bolt-Caster from Destiny?
Or Raze-Lighter or Dark-Drinker
Like if you agree
i would quite like to see one of the fallen relic swords or even croat's sword. btw i have just started playing and have not even heard of the swords u mentioned lol
They are exotic swords you can get when you are level 40
Are if you guys like you can make the Arc Edge or Sol Edge or even Void Edge
I'm a bit bewildered why they chose to do the simplest Fallout weapons, rather than something that would really show off their creativity and talent, like the Shishkebab.
so all the other Dudes from that team can be in a video.
and they chose simple projects to either be manageable for them
or because out of episode length and filming time.
The time frame they have to make six episodes is only eight days. Sometimes, they have to opt for simpler builds just for time's sake.
I actually enjoy these builds more than the overly complicated stuff.
We👏 Need👏 A👏 RWBY👏 Build👏
I don't know... Jean's sword and expand-o-shield could be pretty cool.
That is true 🤔
We need any RWBY weapon except Juane's
+Jayfeather767 why not jaunes
+Zephmans Because with all the other amazing weapons on the show, Jane's would be the most boring and plain. why do Jane's when you could do literally any other weapon?
Jeeze this content is so good and professional idk how i havnt came across this channel before, great videos guys

the nunchaku which turn into a staff always intrigued me
I want to see them take a crack at Ivy's snake sword
Ivy's chain sword would be perfect, not too big, I wonder the day they will build this sword ^^
imagine stumbling upon these guys storage room filled with all of the stuff they made during a zombie apocalypse
