I really thought we'd get more main missions with some involving him before reaching the final mission. Really wanted to see more banter between V and Takemura. He even clicked with V more than Johnny imo which Johnny admits himself that they rarely get along.
because he's so used to enhanced technology allowing him to do things hands-free, once he got downgraded to a phone he had to figure out how to do things manually instead. like our equivalent of trying to learn older technology and their purpose because we have the more advanced or condensed version at our disposal. just like giving a kid a cassette tape and having them try to figure out how it works. hence his zoomer messages and me clowning on him affectionately sorry, spur of the moment thoughts because of the comment lolol,, love this man and his little text cat emote. wish we could've actually taken him out to eat instead of only talking about it in messages :(

He is a samurai serving his emperor. Honestly Goro is my favorite character in Cyberpunk aside from V. It's so sad that he doesn't see things the way we do...
Goro starts to lose faith in his ideology if you hand Songbird over to Morgan Blackhand. In post-credits, Goro tells V he tries to basically do the Devil ending without you. And he says you are like a "good strong medicine that is bitter to the mouth." In the other endings, if you don't help him, he wishes you to go to hell. But by now, he's cooled down and he can't blame V for destroying Arasaka (V isn't around to raid Mikoshi), since Yorinobu would've done that anyway. I think he means that he really is starting to see life more from V's perspective.
Really like the vibes of Takemura, he is practically The Samurai in a Cyberpunk setting, adhering to the Bushido code in a world where it rarely matters. He may be serving an evil corporation but he is still pretty cool dude
I’d like to point out that it is heavily implied that takemura doesn’t like arasaka. He only serves his master not arasaka. Like the fact he sucks at basic technology understanding despite having worked for a company that makes some of the most complex tech (relic). Ik about the 1 year comment gap

Saburo doesn't not care one whit whether or not his megacorp is good for Japan, only the aesthetic of Japanese dominance matters to him, and in a way, he has that. He also basically is a complete racist who will ever consider any non-Japanese his equal. I think it's entirely fair to say Saburo is Goro's weakness. Never forget that Goro would zero V just as easily as he would Dex for little or no reason beyond the fact his masters have ordered him to.

As a woman who was down to romance him when the dinner text came up I was eternally dissapointef when i googled it and found out you couldnt, like why they set me up to catch feeling like that? 🤣
Goro is actually an honorable guy, going above and beyond to prove that Yorinobu killed Saburo. But I’m not saying he’s good. Like if Saburo asked him to burn down an orphanage he would do it but before that he’d ask if he wanted to clear the place out first.
One thing that annoys me is how V's lines don't really challenge Takemura's outlook. If you run the corporal route you should be able to just straight up tell him that our Arasaka paid you to steal secrets from other companies to drive out competition.
For real my headcannon is if they allowed you to romance him you could give him a reason to live outside of Arasakas reign and then convince him to be a nomad with you, It was a common thing for when a Samurai to question their loyalty to their masters when they fell in love and thats how some became Ronin
