This is the second timelapse video I've watched where there was no end result. Learning a lesson here.
Looks like it would have been easier to just tear down the whole thing and build from scratch.

New buildings are taxed more whilst renovators are getting certain tax relief.

But this is actually not why I communicate with you as I indeed found the mute button very RAPIDO, i am just curious if I can see the end result somewhere? So much time and effort went into that place (almost to the point of insanity) and I watched 10 minutes of timelaps to come to a very anti climaxing conclusion of not seeing the end results :(

This video showed the most complete behind the scenes footage of the perseverance it takes to do a project of this scale. Grab your cup of tea and go back to your "before and after" vids and then have a thought for this one. This is real grit.

3 years was a long time for a renovation, and whilst it would have been nice to seen the final results I still enjoyed watching :)

Awesome time lapse! Being a remodeling contractor on older homes here on the mid atlantic east coast, I recognized much of the same type construction...We rarely use the Clay tiles or steel studs in walls anymore but we used to...I love all the masonry work! Looks like very strict building codes too...Thanks for the upload!

Yeah its pretty easy to renovate a house in that way, Ive been working in a roof replace for 3 months, and itt seem more complicated than it is

I'm glad I was not the only one who was super annoyed by the fact that they didn't show the end results and compared with the old footage 😂😂 Also, the time lapse is too damn fast, I had to put at x75 to watch it properly without getting a headache

Spectacular - as ART but not as a Construction 'before and after'! It wasn't long before I changed the replay speed to 2x (the music is more acceptable, too). That said, it's Renovation gangs like you who keep old stuff alive and well and useful - well done for helping to save us from square, glass boxes everywhere (and more land-fill). I spotted tile-cleaning in the rain - that's dedication! Add some pikks of it from BEFORE you began to AFTER Handover and it will make a brilliant show.

In Sweden we use wood in smaller homes. Bigger apartment buildings are concrete, but then again we still have trees over here.

I like brick walls too. They lend a nice "country" feel to a room. This clearly had to be filmed in Europe. That house would be razed if it was in the US. Outside New Orleans, I've never seen any other place in the US with houses over 100 years old. My parents lived briefly in a 60-year-old house in Zurich, Switzerland and it was solid as a fortress. I wouldn't mind living in it permanently. Even that boring Swiss house has more character and charm than the cookie cutter houses in my current neighborhood.
Yeah in europe, we have houses over 100 Year old, and than those were built by bricks, but nowadays, we build our houses by plasterboards and breezeblocks

thanks for the foresight in time lapsing the renovation. As evidenced by the 3+million views, we humans like instant gratification, and 3 years into 10 mins is pretty close...but I will presume to speak for all 3+million by saying , I think a spoiler in this movie would've been warranted.

WOW, that's a lot of hard work. The thought of beginning a project like that is exhausting. It's fun that most of the work was captured in a time-lapse, but it would have been neat to see the end result in some photographs or videos. Either way, well done with that extensive renovation.
When I see all that rubble all I can think of is "that shit will be piled up somewhere else on this planet". You're just creating more waste on an already suffocated planet, just because you don't like the color of your floor tiles for example...

Would have liked a video walk through of the end result, you may have gotten more views, but still, good work, that was very impressive to watch! When I worked maintenance, I loved going into messy apartments and making them look new again, but for the life of me, I couldn't go into a clean apartment and make it "clean-er", my eyes aren't that good anymore. Most of what you guys did looked extremely fun, taking something ugly and old, and making it look new again. Nice work fellas!

Crazy timelapse, nice music, can't fault the artistic integrity. I am shocked though by the use of modern materials on this house with solid walls. Concrete pointing, screed, floorboards ripped out and replaced with plyboard, horrible floor tiles, aluminium doors, oh weh

Trabalhei em três períodos em Londres com construções e reformas, com meu genro que reside lá por 23 anos.
i would hate bricks for the reest of my life if i did this reno, it was three years of non stop bricks. my favorite part was when they starting putting in the prefab floors because they werent bricks! XD
Like a lot of other people I wondered why they didn't just demolish this and build an entirely new house, but I can imagine there are legal reasons why that wasn't feasible - taxes, historic preservation laws, zoning. I do agree that my preference wouldn't be to cover up every bit of the existing old brick with sterile white drywall, but that might also be for insulation.
