@@D_YellowMadness Sorry but I side with Arin here. The game teaching him in a way he doesn't want to be taught and ONLY teaching that way is a fault of the game. If you're creating and selling a game, it's in your court to make sure as many people are capable of understanding it as possible.
Now I will admit that when they make fun of less obtrusive direction, like arrows and glowy bits 'n shit, it's kinda stupid. Because we all know that without said arrow, he'd have no idea what to do. But he's not wrong in skipping the dialog and getting pissed off about the lack of direction. It's a punchy shooty slashy game, not a library session.
@@swishfish8858 If you skip the direction, you don't get to complain about the lack of direction. Not liking it is one thing, but you don't get to lie about the game not being clear just because you don't like the method.

It references rubber, a movie about a sentient tire with psychic powers that murders people.

If you look in the bottom left corner of the wheel icon you see the top half of mike kirby. And if you look in the top right corner of the mike kirby icon you see the wheel kirby.

I'm really flattered that Grumps Dream Course still gets talked about years later. :D Especially by you! I've been a long time fan of your hack videos.
I actually wanted to implement single player while we were developing it, but the maps just didn't lend themselves very well to a single player experience.
I think one of the reasons a lot of Kirby romhacks don't exist yet is due to the lack of research and development. It takes a long time to parse through what different parts of the ROM mean. I really wish more research was done on Kirby Super Star (SNES), because I have a couple of hack ideas I'd love to do someday.
I need to check out that one, I absolutely loved 2-Player Dream Course a looooot

I want to see a Kirby Air Ride Mod with a new city to explore and more powerups. I still can't believe this game never got a sequel or a HD re-release.
I know the person who made the translation of Super Star Stacker! I'm glad it's getting the attention it deserves. Proper fan translations can be difficult and even though it might not be as apparent more work went into than you might thing. A lot of subtle choices were made to make it look as nice as possible. Super happy to see it mentioned (and linked to) here.

It seems as if Mike and Wheel are a two part image with the thing coming towards Mike being the Wheel, you can kind of see the top of the headset in the Wheel picture.
There are also some pretty good Japanese Kirby Super Star ROM hacks, including:
-an "Extra mode" version of Spring Breeze
-a "Puzzle" level
-a boss tower (based on the Kirby's Adventure level I think)
but for some reason most videos of them have been taken down and/or copyright claimed and links to the Extra Mode hack don't work anymore...

Just to let you know Ant, that wheel ability pic that you were talking about was referring to "Rock of Ages". In said game, you can choose between different rocks to complete the objective, and one of those rocks looks just like the wheel in that picture.
So that’s why it took so long for that Super Kirby Clash, it makes me happy to get so much antdude

The Great Cave Offensive is by far my favorite. I would love to see a new cave or other settings with that specific game play. Maybe built upon the game play. I just love the hunting down of all the artifacts

There is actually a havk pack for kirby air ride that expands city trial's time limit, item, spawns, textures and even online play. I suggest that everybody should take a look at this hack and keep this community going.

It's not yet released, so I'm not surprised it wasn't covered, but I was still slightly disappointed that I didn't hear anything about Kirby: Revenge of Dreamland since it's an upcoming romhack for Return To Dreamland, which doesn't have any romhacks as of now.

Hey so, I am actually friends with the creator of Kirby's Halloween Adventure and it was really cool to see his hack be featured in this episode! And yeah, I also found the copy ability icons to be incredibly cute and clever
