I’m just gonna say it, besides sales, this was Nintendo’s golden system. Despite getting a Wii U only 2 years ago, it truly feels like I’ve had one since launch. I use the Wii U more than the Switch. This system is truly something special.
Absoloutly. I would be playing on this much more than my switch if i could get the switch games on the Wii U. The music, the UI, everything is so much better here. And the Nestolgia is crazy.

@@SaxonWaters-tz1ef I can’t understand why Nintendo removed themes and menu music on the switch, the „old“ consoles like 3ds Wii and Wii U all had those rounded corners white icons, blue was the main accent and an animated background sometimes. Switch is just silence… it is like many new cars, it feels soulless
Always got pissed off by that 10-year-old version that had a lot of audio static in it, so, after weeks of trying to find the one without any sort of luck, I decided to do it myself. Such a pain in the ass, but it finally paid off, enjoy!

I know it’s approaching a decade now since the Switch’s launch but it’s also only been one console generation. A lack of sauce in the Switch UI doesn’t mean they can’t immediately bring it back. But if the next console lacks atmosphere too then yeah… that’ll suck lmao
@@biologicalperfection i didn't know there were theme mashups or stuff like that.. i kinda just set a video as my wallpaper, change some colors like a 3DS, changed startup noise, created some invisible shortcuts, moved the shortcuts in the buttoms and bam its complete
The amount of work you put in here is amazing. Thank you. Just one thing. If you really wanna have the true, highest quality sound from this, you should put a download link to the master file of your reconstruction, as TH-cam compresses the video, kinda horribly.
Dude, you're actually the best for this. I love the Wii U menu. Console personality wasn't a factor in the console's poor performance and I wish the switch wasn't so sanitised- Maybe the Switch 2 will do better but I guess we'll have to wait and see, haha. :p

It's been a while since I was into all this Wii U stuff, so I can't recall what the steps are in order to make you move forward into the right direction. I simply cannot supply the required files for you, since they're copyrighted by Nintendo and the propagation of signed software is highly illegal, you will've to find it in your own (AKA firmware files 👀).
