I really miss this era of Nintendo. It feels like ever since Iwata passed away they lost all joy. Especially when it comes to putting personality into their consoles. I sincerely hope he is resting in peace, but man... what I would do to see this Nintendo again

Growing up as a kid playing multiplayer with friends irl are some of my most cherished memories. Nintendo found a way to make gaming very social, we would play metroid prime bounty hunters which was kinda like quake. Hundreds of hours spent battling on pokemon. I miss those days, it sucks being an adult and I have no idea where any of my old friends are. Wish we could all link up one more time and game.

I honestly wish that the upcoming Switch "2" will have music in menus. It's one of the reasons I love nintendo. This insane attention to details everywhere, even for the background music playing in small menus!
I wish I knew this kind of playlists existed when I was studying for my exam 😭 I had a hard time focusing without music and with music with lyrics or lo-fi beats that it wasn't enough.
I don't normally leave behind comments, but the nintendo frutiger aero trilogy has helped me a lot while I'm self-studying a foreign language. For this one, my study sessions usually ends by the time I hear the pikmin transfer song, so it makes me imagine I'm saving my progress and it makes me feel really happy and accomplished :). Thank you tons, I'm on 200 days now w.o a missed day and this mix helped to keep that up!

I remember when I was like 6, my dad had gotten a Wii. I spent so much time on that thing. I remember playing Super Mario Galaxy, a weird gnome demo (2 fast 4 gnomz), and a questionable amount of Kirby. When I got a little older My dad would occasionally bring me to GameStop to pick out cheap games for the Wii. My grandma had a wii and my cousins and I would always play Skylanders on it (the one with the little figurines and power deck). All in all, great memories.
6 afternoon in the summer. hotdogs from the grill in the back porch. sitting on the living room floor with enthusiasm filled eyes; watching my older siblings wave the wii remote at our 3-dimentional tv, wobbling up there on its 4-foot tall and precarious bookshelf stand. the stand filled with various Cd's dvd's and vhs tapes -- worlds waiting to be opened at our command. Moments like those -- I never knew they were leaving until they were already long gone.
The WiiU/3DS took a lot of inspiration from the SNES Satellaview BSX satellite broadcasting service. The retro-futurist bossa nova music, the instrumentaction, the changing music, the clean space-age aesthetic, the announcements. The BSX walked so the WiiU/3DS could run.
I’ve been getting really paranoid about experiencing sleep paralysis and I’ve just been searching for the most chill music to listen to throughout the night if it does happen 👍👍
