James Ferraro - Adventures in Green Foot Printing
      Dan Mason - Home Office

Man, the 2000s were unbelievable. I was born in 1996 and I feel like I both witnessed the "analog" and the "digital" way of living. The analog one where you arrange a time in school when you want to meet your friend to play soccer, the digital one where the PCs are slowly getting more advanced for more beautiful and complex games. To me, the 2000s mark the "bridge" from the analog to the digital age. Every day felt exciting as if you were an explorer. I am so grateful... thanks mom and dad.

Always appreciated Nintendo porting old tracks to the newer games on Wii and Switch. Makes me miss playing in person with people rather than online. Brought out my Wii recently and played games with my sister. On a side note it's crazy how the Switch released in 2017 and how we are probably less than a year of officially hearing about Nintendo's next console. Time has flown by. It's ironic how we wanted to grow up so fast as kids and now all we crave is to be able to go back to relive those nostalgic memories

Same story here. '99 kid who started on my dad's SNES, then n64 and so on so forth. I think growing up in this time really gave us an appreciation for the tech as it got better and better because we saw were it started as. @@TurtleOSX Most definetly. Funny how presently, people as old as us had to struggle with videogames, we couldn't look something up online as easily as kids and young adults can now. Or even how limited the internet at the time was; we couldn't have videos on youtube in 1080fps nor were Xbox or Playstation online gaming experiences as advanced as they are now.
Its really crazy to see how much we've aged and how long it has been since the older days of the n64 and the Xbox or first playstation. I never played an n64 in my youth. Only when I was roughly 18, but I loved that console to death.

I'm not a fan of mainstream music that much but I can notice a similarity when I hear one lol. There's also some songs I've heard recently that also give off the same vibe of early 2000's style of Avril Lavigne, Colbe Caillait, Morissette, etc. Our concept of "era" I feel can be too containing; we gotta remember aesthetics don't have to be limited to a time period and can just come back around whenever.

I am lucky to be born when I was. I’ll be turning 30 this year. I got to see the tail end of the pre internet world, the adoption of so many revolutionary technologies, the evolution of the early internet into what it has become now (yes, it was better then) but it allowed me to create context in this world I would have never otherwise gotten if I was born later. But I was still born late enough to remember how things used to be. Before the algorithmic endless novelty and the economic and cultural decline of the country.
Before social media or internet at all. There was a simplicity in that life that is now dead.
How our loss of privacy and freedom has lead to endless conformity and the loss of individuality. People are afraid to be different now and actions are now permanent and immortalized. With that said the new generation has a kindness to them that gives me hope for the future still.

The PS Vita music was so hated when it came out. I loved the music! It just felt clean and refreshing. I liked the NEAR music. The guitar sounds so amazing and crisp. Traded my brand new 3DS to preorder this puppy. No regrets tbh. It replaced my iPod touch. Ridge Racer online gave many friends on PSN

Wowwww the WebTV song is something I never thought I'd hear again in my life. Hours spent in front of a CRT TV trying to read 8-Bit Theater. The colored text got blown out by the CRT and I could probably only make out half the dialog. Good good times.

Hearing Monkey Target 2 genuinely surprised me! It's always nice seeing some tunes from that franchise in a FA playlist. Though while I can tell this playlist is a lot more Nintendo focused, it was nice to hear stuff no other video's used (so far) like the Vita music, and Tovatronica. I'll give your second one a listen some time.
(Nice throw off, putting LEASE at the very end of the playlist instead of the start, haha)

Interesting to note the differences in what people take this style to mean. The Frutiger part is referring to a Swiss designer that developed some type fonts that became fairly popular. But it seems more about mid-2000s tech, particularly handheld devices and casual gaming.
