    I brew loose leaf tea in my French press. It works great and you can make larger batches to share with your family.

    I find that an easy way to brew loose leaf tea is to use a fine mesh stainless steel strainer … I’ll either brew directly into my tea cup, or if brewing larger quantities, add the loose tea to a large glass measuring cup, and then once steeped pour it into individual tea cups by placing the stainless steel strainer on top of each individual tea cup as you pour.
    Or a stump tea pot with a built in stainless steel fine mesh strainer

    Use good old tea strainer to strain loose tea leaves. I grew up in Sri Lanka where Ceylon tea is grown. We just put the leaves in a jug pour hot water and let it brew and use the tea strainer to filter the leaves. Top it with milk and sugar and drink it English style.

    Loved this video! You are my new favorite to watch for meal inspiration. I am typically not a cabbage fan, but I am totally trying that slaw recipe. Looks fabulous. I am also going to try the hummus and the meatball recipes. Thank you for all of your healthy meal inspiration. I too, like to have a little something at night with my tea.     I don’t like escaped tea leaves in my tea as well. I recently found those disposable tea bags from Amazon. It comes with a big amount so lasts pretty long. I usually just scoop in about 1tsp of leaves to make one cup. Ive been happy with the purchase.

    I have a tea ball that has handles that you squeeze open to put tea leaves inside to brew i found at the Amish store.I've been using my electric tea. So easy. 28:44 kettle

    Mountain Rose Herbs carries a stainless steel tea strainer with moon & star cut outs (celestial) that fits over most average size mug rims. The mesh basket part sits down into the mug so as long as the water level covers the herbs, you're good. May not be perfect but I find that it functions better than a tea ball. If that isn't enough, you can use a cloth strainer bag (drawstring top) or toss loose leaf in a Pyrex measuring pitcher with pour spout (or other tempered glass container), pour your water over it and either steep it & strain it into the mug or steep it & put the mesh strainer over your mug & pour the loose tea/water mix into the strainer in the mug and then just lift the strainer out. If you'd prefer a more modern sleek look, there are other similar but plain stainless tea strainers online.
    I've only watched one of your videos but really enjoyed it and will definitely be tuning in to more. You make everything seem so simply do-able. Thank you.

    Firstly I love your video, thank you. Secondly I am English and you need a teapot and a tea strainer for your loose leaf tea, I'm hoping you can get a tea strainer in the US, they are just very small sieves that sit over your teacup whilst you pour your tea from the teapot and catch all the tea leaves. 😊

    Before I got a good tea ball I used a small stainless sink strainer and I put the tea leaves in and set it over my cup. I pour the hot water over that and up til it comes to the leaves so they sit in the water to steep!

    I have a metal infuser that I use for my loose leaf tea. Similar infuser to those you find in water bottles. It works fantastic.

    I pour my loose leaf brewed tea through a single size mesh strainer lined with a piece of organic cotton fabric (cut from a organic produce bag😜). Wonderful videos! Thank you!

    I recommend a stainless steel Tea Infuser basket that sits on the rim of your cup. Nothing gets through! Absolutely love your channel!

      You can cook the exact same meals and just substitute anything too expensive or that you can't find! Just stick with mostly whole foods, your body is still greatly benefitted from just eating minimal ingredient foods 💛

    It’s always better to purchase a piece of Pecorino, or any cheese, and grate it yourself. There are usually some additives and the cheese will be loose moisture. I know it’s an extra step to take.

      Oh yes, that is definitely right. I normally always do but my store was out so they substituted it. I agree, block pecorino is preferred, I also love saving the rinds for soups!

    What is your drink/mixture with the apple cider vinegar to balance out your blood sugar in the morning? And, what is the brand and/or where do you purchase those dates rolled in coconut? They look delicious. Thanks

      It’s a splash (about 1/2 - 1 tablespoon) of the apple cider vinegar in a big cup water with a squeeze of lemon. Drink with a straw! The date rolls were Sprouts (store brand) but you could easily make them homemade ☺️

    I cant get my cast iron to not stick...i tryed everything 😫. Im not wasting energy on it i have a Dimond pan. I cant eat chickpeas whole, crohns disease, cauliflower does not work in my digestion. I might try it pureed and see what happens, turmeric real helps my inflammation. Cabbage hurts my stomach 🤦‍♀️I have found any beef or pig doesn't work in my gut.
    I get emty unbleached tea bags off Amazon... but i had a lot of davids tea mugs with baskets..unfortunately i don't own anything now😔.

    I’m so hungry for veggies and hummus now! YES! I need a low calorie snack and that will fit just fine! I’m amazed that you cook 3 meals a day for your family! And that you homeschool!     Another great video! Do you know much about triglycerides? I was told in my last blood work test that mine were high. Curious what you would do for that if it were you.

      There could be so many different reasons but if I was speaking to myself (no health claims here of course 😂) my cheat sheet would be:
      1. lower sugar and refined carb intake
      2. really watch the kinds of fats you're eating, incorporate more omega 3's (salmon, chia seeds, walnuts, cod liver oil supplement etc.)
      3. up your whole food fiber intake (brown rice, sweet potatoes over bread, lots of veggies)
      4. exercise or any movement to help your body metabolize sugar, which lowers the amount of sugar in your blood and decreases the amount of sugar your body converts to triglycerides.

      Hmmm! Maybe just try coating it in a little oil and then heating it up really well, then turn the heat off. This usually does the trick for me!

      I am with you!! Sometimes I’ll put a fun toy on the kitchen rug so my youngest can just be there with me. You are not alone and it really does get easier. Just kept it simple so you can make it with one hand if necessary… sheet pan, crock pot, instant pot
