Thank you very much for providing such a detailed video, which has helped me a lot. I need to remove the headlights. The first step is to remove the front bumper. Because I also have the headlight cleaning function, I found many videos. They It just tells people that they need to remove the screws and headlights for cleaning here or there, as well as the side radar and camera, but it does not tell others how to remove the buckle in detail.
Can you tell me exactly where the long screw at 2:26 is ? I just changed the new fender liner and the lower deflector but I forgot the location of that long scew :(
Hi you disconnected the the camera sensor when removing the front bumper Did you have to calibrated the sensors when installing the bumper back in ?? How did you go about doing that ?? Thanks
@@HelpMeDIY long story short I had a little incident and scraped the front right corner of the bumper I took it to a smash repair places to get it fix they want to charge me $250-500 to calibrate the sensors I thought it was just a plug and play kinder thing,it wasn’t 1 shop but 3 of them said the same thing that it needs to be calibrated again for it to work I’m from Australia if it help with anything thanks
BMW likes to make their suppliers, or they themselves, have some type of competition to see how many different types of electrical/basic connections in one car.
Do you have pedestrian protection on your car. Is it dangerous to remove the bumper with pedestrian protection? Because i want to retrofit pdc and i cannot find a video to remove the front bumper of a car with pedestrian protection.
+Frank Lecock this is the first I’ve ever heard of “pedestrian protection”. I assume it’s a sensor or cameras similar to the park assist? Those where just one connector to disconnect so I would assume that would be similar.
Thanks, pedestrian protection is a system that makes that the hood comes higher on the side of the front window if you hit a person. It is indeed a sort of sensors behind the bumper, i am a little affraid that it will be activated wen i remove the bumper.
@HelpMeDIY yeah no hate. Ive just seen so many videos. Not yours of people making all kinds of excuses for not. My guess is alot of the youngerkids dont have propper tools. I cant talk im on my 6th lip and have decided just to get a lightwieght. Ive has 2 carbon m and a cs lip all from BMW and they broke the same as an ebay one. Good video
@@HelpMeDIY yeah you'd think that would help .I've taken those fitting off and taped the ?I've taped and liquid taped them. It seems to find a weak spot then dirty up my garage floor. If I had the room I would've gotten one of those post lifts

+Magnus Wiberg thanks! Hope you subscribed for me.

+@filipefrango1671 thanks! No you do not.
Thank you for the video. It gives me the confidence to take my bumper off, too.
+@Covkiller that’s great! 💪🍻

+Frank Lecock interesting. So similar to an airbag. I would think just like an airbag that if you disconnect the battery you would be fine.
@@HelpMeDIY Ok, Thanks. Will try that soon.
Frank Lecock let me know what you find!
You don’t remove the headlight washers at all brother. You leave them connected and just undo the feed hose under the passenger headlight
You made sooooo much more work. You literally just pull connector on the hose back and the hose pops off. Washers stay on. Bumper just slides off.
Great video BTW.
+Philip Gray thanks! 🍻
No need to remove headlight washers, just main feed line needs to be disconnected on passenger side only
+Philip Mathew maybe… I couldn’t figure it out though 😆
Just pull up on the black plastic collar and pull the line off the T.
Just take your wheels off .if your smart you already did the studd conversion and swapping wheels takes no time
+BPF80M Car that does give you more room to work for sure.
