  • I used an extended pole saw to prune the lower limbs of a spruce tree before felling it in our backyard with a 58v ECHO chainsaw. The 20v DEWALT pole saw has been extended from its original length of 10 feet to 20 feet using a piece of electrical conduit and 12awg wire. This DEWALT saw works great in it's original configuration, even compared to the Milwaukee, EGO, and RYOBI ones that I've seen.

    Have you opened the end where the chain is, I busted the upper pole and need to replace it, but have not open the upper end yet.
