I’m glad you found this to be helpful. One thing that I will mention is that it has a tendency to leak chain bar oil. If it’s not hung horizontally, it will leak all over. Other than that that’s my only criticism. Thanks so much for your visit and have a great week.
Have owned this saw for several years and would buy it again. Amazing how long it goes on one battery. Only issue we have is the unit leaks oil all the time. Fill it one day and the next all the oil has leaked out. So we only put in as much as we need. Have not found a fix, but told this is a common issue with this saw. Otherwise, works great!
Good to hear it. I have had very good results with mine, and it has served me very well. You are right though, it does leak oil badly. I hang it from the ceiling, horizontally and oil tends to stay in the reservoir. If I hang it vertically or lay it on its side on a shelf somewhere it will leak all over. Thanks so much for stopping by the channel and sharing your experience. Have a great week.
From other videos I have watched on this pole saw, I am told the oiler is a drip type, and needs to be emptied before storing. It does say to empty the oil tank in the owners manual (who reads those?) Here's my take, if I am only doing some small trimming, I don't even use the oil tank but have a small pump-type oil can I keep with me, before starting and after a cut or two I give the chain/bar a few squirts of bar oil. Works for me.
my dewalt is a gas powered pole saw. i have an issue with the chain coming off and i do not know why, it seems like there;s too much oil for the chain. Not sure if there's a factory setting for the chain oiler. any help would be appreciated
That’s a tough one without looking at it. Do be sure that your chain is tight enough but not too tight. Also see if all of the teeth are on the underside of the chain. If one or two of those teeth on the bottom of the chain are broke off, they might jump out of the track. Also, make sure your chain bar is tight. I have seen the rivets on the end of a regular chainsaw, bar pop, loose and it allows the track to widen and causes problems. do you have a small engine mechanic close by? Hope you’re able to solve the problem. Thanks so much for stopping by and good luck.
To date it has worked very well. The only limitations that I have run into is in regards to its size. Just can’t cut something that’s too big anything about 6 inches or smaller works well.
I was just sharing about the tool that I got. When I made this video my channel was almost brand new. I wasn’t being paid to advertise it, but I did get it on Amazon. I’m still trying to grow the channel and appreciate any comments and visits. Hope you have a great week.
We do the best we can to undercut the branch, but it tends to bite and kick back. If you can get it to work right that’s fine but it needs a bumper on top to lightly leverage your cut. Thanks for watching and come back again soon.
@@toolscouter Great video, thanks. I was also wondering about undercutting branches with a pole saw, but I can see that it would not be easy to do with the saw being on the end of a 10' pole.
You don't mention a thing about the oil you put in ..what kind ?, how much?,..Does it leak out when stored ? .C'mon . How about certain cutting techniques for safety and cleaner cuts...?
Sounds like you know more about it than I do. As for oil, it’s just plain chain bar oil and you fill up the reservoir. The one thing I don’t like about it is that it will leak profusely when stored. The best way to store it is horizontal, it seems to me that it leaks less. I know different cutting techniques for a chainsaw, but this is different. This video is about two years old and I had just gotten it, so I’m not real sure about different techniques of cutting with it. In many cases, you’re cutting from very awkward angles, and the main thing is, don’t get your chain stuck. I hope that was helpful and thanks so much for your visit to the channel. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
Sorry. Trying to make it somewhat entertaining. At the making of this video I was still relatively new to video editing and was still experimenting with the whole process. Hopefully my newer videos won’t be so abrasive to you. Thanks for watching and have a great week.
Another axe to grind, well done mate UK
Thank you very much. It’s great to see people from overseas enjoying the video. Come by again soon and have a great day.
Good and honest review.Just got one for Xmas but haven't used it yet
Thank you and congratulations. Hope you find it to be useful. Have a great weekend and a happy new year.
Great video!!!
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. Hope it was helpful and have a great day.
Just ordered one and it will be here tomorrow
Good for you, happy cutting.
I’m gonna get one next week! I know this is an old model but they haven’t upgraded the model yet!

@@Moonshinedave1 Great Idea! Thanks!
Thank you for letting us know it’s a good pole saw. I just bought mine.
So, how do you like it after three months?
We have that and love it!!!!!
Glad to hear it and thanks for the comment.

I've just buy one …, at my age (57) i will not anymore make the monkey on a branch of the tree or on a dangerous stepladder .
Thanks for sharing !!
I love your word picture and I agree
Hello sir, Are you satisfied with it, how does it behave over time, do you recommend this chainsaw? Thank you 🙏

😮where can you buy a extended De Walt chain saw?. What a pity an advertising with no references to buy one.

OUCH !!! Is it too much to under cut a branch ? Will do justice to trees.

Now Aaron thinks he needs one to add to his fleet of Dewalt tools. 🤦♀️
Could be, have fun if you do. It is much safer for me, no ladders to be kicked out from under me when the limb drops and springs back.

@ yes thanks so much
What if you’re a midget and only 3’ tall? 😂🤣. Only getting 13’ reach lol
Yes, that is something to consider. 😄
Good, except for the stupid music added when you began using it.

@@toolscouternothing wrong with the music thanks for the effort I'm going to purchase this.
Music is. Annoying and distracting.
I’m sorry I didn’t like it. I do. Hope you have a good week.
There is so much more to the video than just the music.
Great review, thanks for that!
