My favorite song from this album "Oriental Melody" , no It's got to be "Mind Storm", then again "Hill Groove", maybe it's "Belly Dancer". I'm so confused how do I pick a favorite song?
@TommittajaFIN How can you say such a thing? The main melody was completely identical! Granted Satriani played it, while Coldplay used it as a vocal melody but it was the same melody over the exact chord progression.

Great track but the track title is completely out of whack... This melody is not oriental but rather South Asian, Middle Eastern and Persian flavor. I know this because I lived in all three regions. Joe, you are awesome, but this is a bit amateurish.
Middle Eastern/Arabic Music is classified as Oriental. Satriani's title is completely correct. It's confusing for those that think of Oriental as applying only to the Far East but as far as the Arts go it applies to the whole Arab region.
