Another good one Jim. I always learn something new in each of your videos, even if I think that I already know that topic area.
I'm glad to hear that, and thanks for watching!
You are the Best don't tell Mr Vanelli🤣
haha thanks Paul, it's our little secret! Then again, maybe I should taunt him a little to keep his ego in check. 🤣
You take masking to an art form. Great tutorial, thanks for sharing.
thanks so much Ron, that is very kind of you to say!
Thanks Jim very helpful
thank you for watching!
Great video! I’m going to buy your master masking course.
thanks so much!
Another useful one . One thing what were you sitting in front of you had a definite purple reflection on your face
thanks Hugh and I think that is my background on my laptop shining color on my face
@@JimNix That's good to know I was beginning to think you were a being from another world - (joke)

You should suggest to Skylum that they default the brush to maximum softness, rather than zero softness. I haven't seen any videos where someone has recommended using a brush at anything other than maximum softness. (Kinda like the "invert mask" that we always had to do on radial masks, until they made the inverted the default. 😀)
thanks Carl and yeah the only time I could think of using zero softness is perhaps a straight line (architecture for example) where you are adding detail or light to a specific, straight column or something - hope that makes sense, but it would be quite rare for sure
Do you have a tutorial for editing iPhone photos for beginners or a vid you would direct me to? Thank you
I treat iPhone images the same as other images in terms of how I approach an edit. So all of my videos are applicable, regardless of the camera used. However, depending on the photo, I would likely do heavier noise reduction and/or sharpening with an iPhone image.
