BIG NEWS! Skylum has just launched a summer sale where you can save a massive 81% off Luminar Neo here bit.ly/NeoSale But the cool thing is in addition to that they've given me a coupon code to share with you so you get to save ANOTHER 20% (use code AFF-T5C1C0 ) I really hope that helps you out! It should work for both the perpetual licence and the subscription too. Enjoy😄 Best wishes, Anthony
Luminosity masking yes please!
When 1.19 announced, I knew this channel is where I'd go to learn about it.
Luminar has come a long way. 👍What I like most about the past updates was the much enhanced speed and stability, I found workarounds for almost all other issues. This seems like a really great update, I hope those speed and stability goodies are not sacrificed!
Thank you Anthony for your great video, and , yes…
„Luminosity Masks“! 😁🙏
Certainly looks like Neo's best update to me.
Terrific job giving us this introduction, AT.
Eventually, some really good news also to those of us who happen to have purchased Neo & extensions outright and refuse to comply with Skylum's obvious desire to convert us to subscription customers! Thank you for your time and effort Anthony, and yes of course; bring the Luminosity mask video on .. 😉
I’m also a customer who refuses to do their subscription model.
@@hepgeoff Me too. I have purchased a couple of Skylum imaging products since 2018 but being a retired photographer, to spend monthly for some thing I simply don't have as much use for as the price involved, I am hoping that this update is offered to those of us that purchased NEO before it was actually available a couple years ago. I will view AT's review but Jim Nix did not say if it is free to early NEO purchasers but I hope that AT clarified this. Early AM here but will look at the review in a few minutes and hopefully fall asleep thrilled. TIA AT Well I did finally see all of the video and unless both my eyesight and my hearing has gone south, there is no mention of what purchase option is affected by the update. Would hope that maybe Skylum can comment to help folks know unless we simply have to wait until the 24/5 tp see what happens when we either boot up NEO or check for updates.
Why did not all the water become selected in the waterfall image? Also why were not all the items with dark shadows not become selected. However, I find that when selected the building does not work so well to my eye. I also would be interested to see what a single image HDR would produce of the same image file. Any part of the result could also be adjusted with masking and remove are adjust some areas of the image adjustment.
Looks like a nice update BUT, alas there's that subscription thing which I refuse to do. C'mon guys!
Not this time@@michaelpitt3640, believe it if you can!
@@michaelpitt3640 Same here. Not doing the subscription.
OMG finally subject masking!
Im one of those that does pretty much everything with local masks, while also getting way into detail with the brush tool. This "small" additon alone will probably decrease my editing time by half.
Luminosity mask looks interesting, but i didnt really used it in Lightroom before.
This is a new version of Luminar Neo (v1.19) dropping for general release on 25th April (sorry I didn't say in the original recording!). It's a free update if you already own Neo. If you don't have it yet Skylum are currently running a "Spring sale" with up to 83% savings here: bit.ly/Luminar-NEO and code ATNEO10 will save you another 10%! (why the speech marks around "Spring Sale", because it's Autumn for those of us living in the Southern Hemisphere)
Thanks. Nice updates to the masking. Have there been any improvements to the other extensions (apart from HDR) which are generally far slower than competition options and some (noise reduction) perform poorly in comparisons as well?
Thanks for this! Do you need to have the subscription version of Neo to get these updates?
@@hepgeoff It's a free update if you already own Neo
@@jayeshtopiwala3219 I cant get mine to update and cant figure out why
Sorry, didnt see this before posting my question

I've been waiting for 2 years for Luminosity Masking. PLEASE do some videos on this powerful tool.
Anthony. great VID!! one extra thing you could ask Skyrim to add is a TEXT facility !!! Adding that would save having to dip back into Adobe software!!
Another great video, thanks. I would definitely be interested in a tutorial on the luminosity masking. Cheers.
Yes for more on luminosity masking and object select
Great update!
Yes to Luminosity Making tutorials THANKS (that's a big thank you)

Luminosity Masks. Yes, very much yes please!
Thanks for explaining this- I'm very excited about this update. Layer flattening next eh?
REEEEEEEALLY hope so! Seems like an easy fix with a big upside.
Luminosity masking yes please! Can't wait to receiving the update.
Thankyou, another great video.
A luminosity masking video would be great. Thanks. Go for it.
Luminosity masking. Hooray
I'd love to see tutorials on luminosity masking.
Yes luminosity masking Thank you love your videos
Yay! Thank you!
Luminosity masking please Anthony!!
Yes, luminosity masks please! Thanks
Yes please, Luminosity masking. Thanks
Thanks for the review Anthony, this is a most impressive update for sure! I'm sure glad I subscribed to Neo. I could never understand luminosity masking in Photoshop--it just seems like black magic voodoo. But in Neo, it's easily understandable! I would really like to see more videos on harnessing the power of luminosity masks. About the only part of the update that I _don't_ like is their rebranding. I like their old logo way more than the generic "asterisk" logo.
Yes totally agree. Great update but like you, unsure about the asterisk!
I'd love to see some tutorials on luminosity masking too, please. 😊
Always crushing.
Luminosity masking please.
Another great informative video as usual.
There is certainly some great new tools.
Look forward to the next one.
These look like great updates. However, my version is 1.18.2 (12917). When will it be available?
I notice someone else commented their version is 1.18.3.
Do Luminar roll out different versions at different times in different arts of the world?
Thank you for all your excellent tuition Andy...........Please , more Luminosity Masking videos😄
Hi mate, in my efforts to condense all of this update into one video I managed to ommit a very important piece of information. Release date! It's due on 25th of April, or 26th depending on your time zone. Cheers, Anthony
@@AnthonyTurnham Thank you, I just received an email from Skylum informing me of the release date. Apologies, I called you Andy before, not Anthony.....forgot spellcheck !!
@simpix7683 - whilst I have Neo set to auto-updates, it doesn't always do so. I have to manually check every once in a while, to get the latest. Diary set for 25th!
I think 1.18.3 was just to fix a bug for Apple.
Yes to Luminosity Masking, please
Luminosity masks! Thank you
Great thanks 👍
Thanks for the info. Luminosity Mask!
As a capture one user I may jump again to luminar after these updates
Please will be interested in detailed tutorial on Luminosity Mask. Thanks for your beautiful tutorials. Enjoyed each and everyone of your throats.
Luminosity masks, yes please!
Luminosity thanks!!
Would love to have you explain what luminosity is & expand on how to use it!
Luminosity masking, thank you.
Luminosity masking, yes please.
Does neo hdr merge do a better job than lightroom classic in your opinion?
It's very different. They tackle HDR in a very different way. LR creates a 32bit raw dng that holds all the potential information but we still need to work the file to recover it, whereasNeo creates a 16bit tiff that already has the data processed automatically. My preference is the result from Neo, but Lightroom's version can still be very useful.
Luminosity Masking - pretty please - its an awesome addition
Luminosity masking, yes please (and if it helps to better do window pulling)!
Finally, luminosity and object masking. You are right, best update.
Thanks for this excellent video, I can't wait to discover these new features! I would have liked Skylum to improve the "generative enlargement" module, which is really perfectible in terms of final rendering, and to be able to process a larger area when enlarging. I hope they'll do it soon.
Thank you very much for your very didactic and to the point videos.
Thanks Michel. Yeah, that would be a good improvement too.
Luminosity masking please!!
Lumiosity masking yes
I have to say that I am looking forward to the luminosity masks and I really missed them a lot. Otherwise, I also lack the option to perform "correction of the force of action" of the given adjustment (similar to the opacity of layer coverage in photoshop - that will be the best than). Thanks so much for all you do Anthony
Yes - Luminosity masking. 😊
Thanks for the vote and your continuing support of the channel. I really appreciate it!
Luminosity masking!!!!!
Please highlight luminosity masking capability and function.
FINALLY better masking options! This version isn't available to me yet, but it'll be terrific.
Thanks. It's going to be publicly available on April 25. Sorry I didn't mention in the vid!
@@AnthonyTurnham In my case, no biggie. I only shoot with a real camera, raw files and post-processing when I'm on vacation, and sadly, it'll be a loooong time till that comes by. But it'll be sweet.
Luminosity masks please Anthony. Have a lovely weekend.
Luminosity Masking yes please
great video, luminar mask
I would like you to show more luminosity mashing loved your visor on new masking
tutorials on Luminosity masking please.
Just got Capture one for my Fuji files yesterday and ended up getting Neo also today. I've used Luminar AI before and have really enjoyed it. Looking forward to using this update.
Yeah Neo is a really nice accompanying software to the likes of Capture One or Lightroom. Enjoy!
great presentation and upgrade. But i am disapointed, after so many years asking for that, we still don't have a brush with edge detection and re-editable radial filters (visible pins, names, handles) as we have in LRC and ON1.
Luminosity masks, yes, please
Luminosity masking please!
Great update. I wish they would add an easy watermark feature like Lightroom.
I have been using Skylum's products for a while with mixed feelings. I am curious to see the new release but the past has tempered my excitement until I get to play with it. Lots of great updates to be hopeful for. Thanks, Anthony as always for your videos - much appreciated.
